Built in 1912 by Hilborn Holmes and Evie Elizabeth Mixon Holmes with the finest millwork and materials, Brentwood is a magnificent architectural and historical mansion. In 1939, Julius H. Brent and Elizabeth Kennedy Brent visited the house, fell in love with it, and made it their cherished family home. Brentwood was later honored with placement on the National Register of Historic Places in March 1989.
