As area natives, my husband and I hold deep roots in this community, where our family still owns much of the surrounding land. We originally purchased this property as a personal sanctuary to enjoy its peaceful, secluded evenings. Having recently completed a full renovation, we are delighted to open our home to guests seeking the same tranquil experience while we are away working in the city.

Why they chose this property

This property holds a special place in our hearts, as it was once owned by my husband’s grandfather. Today, it beautifully borders our remaining family-owned land, allowing us to stay connected to our local roots.

What makes this property unique

This property is uniquely placed down the drive to allow for the beauty of the woods to be close to the exterior outdoor setting of the screened in porch. It also allows for a quite seclusion to those who seek it. If chosen, one can walk (a distance) through the woods to Otter Creek that then also runs into Mark Twain Lake. This view can be seen beautifully from the cliffs that boarder the Mark Twain Lake. The property at the edge of Mark Twain Lake is all owned by the the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) based on their properties topographic elevation contours and legal survey lines that meet the existing properties. Our property is a true place to unwind from a busy lifestyle.
