Our small, tastefully furnished holiday rental is ideal for nature lovers and holidaymakers seeking peace and relaxation far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Start your day with a refreshing swim in the lake, followed by breakfast on the terrace while watching cranes, wild geese, and perhaps even a white-tailed eagle. Later, explore the beautiful natural surroundings on a walk through the forest, a bike ride, or a canoe trip. And in the evening, enjoy the sunset over the lake.

Nestled among expansive fields and meadows, in a typical Mecklenburg landscape with forests and numerous lakes, lies the village of Klein Upahl on the eastern shore of Lake Upahl. A small, secluded swimming spot below the property is perfect for a dip. The lake is part of a nature reserve, which is why fishing and boating are not permitted on this lake.

The village features a country inn (steakhouse), a swimming spot with a dock, 1 playground, 3 tennis courts, and several beautiful hiking and running trails along field and forest paths. The nearest shopping and dining options are in Güstrow, about 12 km away.
The beautiful cities of Schwerin, Wismar, and Rostock, as well as the lovely Baltic Sea resorts (Kühlungsborn, Warnemünde), are all less than an hour’s drive away.
The resort town of Plau am See (about a 25-minute drive) is highly recommended. Its location on Lake Plau offers all kinds of activities by and on the water (e.g., boating, surfing, fishing), as well as restaurants and a few inviting shops in the charming town centre.
The tranquil health resort of Krakow am See, with several recreational opportunities, is also less than half an hour away.

There are several places in the area where you can rent canoes and bicycles. The idyllic gorges of the Warnow, Nebel, and Mildenitz rivers, as well as the field and forest trails around Upahl, are ideal for hiking. All are less than 30 minutes away by car.
Our holiday rental accommodates 2 people. It is modern and attractively furnished. The shower room was completely renovated in January 2021. In addition to the living room with an open kitchen, a bedroom, a shower, and a separate toilet, there is a spacious sun terrace with a lake view.

In addition to the apartment listed here, the house also contains a second apartment, which we (a family with two children) occasionally use as our own private holiday rental. So you might run into us—but the layout of the terraces and the spaciousness of the property ensure that you can enjoy your holiday undisturbed.
