Welcome to Dat Schloss—your vacation home in the heart of the village of Nieblum on the beautiful island of Föhr. This historic, listed captain’s house, built in 1853, was originally constructed by the famous Captain Paul Nickels Paulsen, who was the first to cross the Atlantic in a steamship.
Following its most recent renovation in 2018, Dat Schloss shines in new splendor and offers you modern comforts and a stylish ambiance. The interior combines tasteful designer furniture by renowned designers such as Philippe Starck, Aileen Gray, and Michele de Lucci with 18th-century antique treasures from Schleswig-Holstein. The house captivates with its unique atmosphere.
Set on a spacious 2,000-square-meter property, Dat Schloss features not only the owners’ home—which they occupy from time to time—but also a separate garden exclusively for our guests. Here, you can enjoy peace and privacy. High-quality patio furniture and plenty of lounge chairs invite you to relax in the beautifully landscaped, lush garden. The terrace and outdoor dining area are perfect spots for cozy meals and social gatherings. A parking area next to the house with storage space for bicycles is also available.
The castle can accommodate up to six people. The house features two bedrooms, each with a comfortable double bed, as well as a third bedroom with two single beds placed one behind the other. Two modern bathrooms with showers and three separate restrooms ensure ample comfort and privacy. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.
In Nieblum, you’ll find everything you need for a wonderful vacation. A small supermarket, bakery, butcher, fish market, newsstand, and various restaurants are all within walking distance. Let yourself be enchanted by the village’s charming atmosphere and explore the picturesque surroundings of the island of Föhr.
