There is a cozy lounge with patio doors to the garden and far-reaching views across the Welsh countryside. A fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven and microwave. And an elegant bathroom with a shower and roll top bath to soak in after a long day. Our space is the perfect base for a relaxed break or an action-packed adventure in North Wales.
Situated in the beautiful hills of North Wales, this newly renovated one bedroomed cottage is part of our period stone farmhouse dating back to the 1850s. Standing in 8 acres of rolling fields, with its own private entrance, parking and garden, Orchard cottage is a rural retreat to come home to. Inside, there is a cozy lounge with patio doors to the private garden. A bright, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, fridge/freezer, induction hob, oven, and microwave. Upstairs is a comfy double bedroom for two adults, and spacious bathroom with a shower and an elegant roll top bath - perfect to soak in and enjoy the views of the idyllic Welsh countryside after a day of exploring. There is a designated workspace on the landing with garden views. Outside, is your own garden with patio, seating, and fire pit for cooking as well as secure bike storage. Our resident horses, Ben and Milo might join you for your alfresco dining.
The Location
Surrounded by nature, the area has an abundance of wildlife, including birds of prey, hares, and owls. If your inquisitive enough, you might even meet our local stoat! Several footpaths from the property mean you can easily explore the surrounding countryside on foot, follow tracks to both Waun-Y-Llyn Country Park and Wood Pit Nature Reserve. Waun-Y-Llyn Country Park offers panoramic views across Wales, Cheshire and Liverpool, and hosts limestone bouldering for the climbing enthusiasts. While Wood Pit Nature Reserve, an area of Special Scientific Interest, offers broadleaf woodlands and marshes to explore. Whether you are craving a calm, cozy retreat, a romantic getaway, or to take advantage of the action-packed adventures North Wales has to offer, this is the perfect base for your trip.
As there is so much great cycling and mountain biking in the area, we have provided secure bike storage at the cottage. This has more than enough space for space for 2 bikes (dimensions available on request), and is visible from the house.
Please note, currently there is no washing machine in the holiday accommodation. There are laundrettes nearby with self service or laundry services (wash, dry, fold/press). Details are given in house booklet.
