A good starting point for exploring the nature reserve, Bjørkøya.

Situated close to the forest, a short distance from the beautiful nature reserve and within walking distance of the fjord, you will find this vacation home with good hiking opportunities right outside the door. The house is comfortably furnished and here is everything you need for carefree vacation days. You can plan the day's hiking adventure on the sofa and play board games at the dining table in the evening. Don't forget the snacks! Enjoy your meals on the open terrace overlooking the fjord and let your children romp on the beautiful natural property while you feast on a freshly brewed coffee in the shade of the trees.

Bjerkøya Island is located at the far end of Sandebukta, west of the entrance to Drammensfjorden, and beckons with protected nature. The hiking trails on the island take you through a varied and beautiful coastal landscape. You can also take the ferry to Verket on the peninsula, Hurumlandet, and explore the Holtnes valley. Take cycling tours as well as a boat trip and visit the beautiful islands in Holmestrandsfjorden. Kayaking is of course also a nice idea.
