Our house is a farmhouse dating from 1895 that was completely renovated in 2010–2011, and it is situated on a mound in the Hattstedtermarsch. The Rüm Hart holiday rental is located on the ground floor of our farmhouse, which was completely renovated in 2010–2011. It is very comfortably furnished and equipped with modern amenities. There is plenty of space for 2 people. The main room offers enough space for a couch, armchair, dining table, and a kitchenette with a refrigerator, a stove with a ceramic cooktop, and a dishwasher.
The bedroom has a 180x200cm double bed. The apartment is equipped with underfloor heating, a smart TV via satellite, and high-speed fiber-optic internet. The house is heated by a geothermal heat pump, making it completely emission-free. From April through October, we cover our electricity needs using the solar panel system on the addition. A windmill to meet electricity needs in the winter is currently in the planning stages.
The Hattstedtermarsch is a landscape conservation area and borders the Beltringharder Koog, which was completed in 1987. Until then, the dike visible from the house was a sea dike. The Beltringharder Koog is one of Schleswig-Holstein’s largest nature reserves and serves as a breeding ground for many coastal birds as well as a wintering ground for hundreds of thousands of geese from October through May.
There are several bird-watching stations in the Koog. Take a holiday away from mass tourism and enjoy the peace and nature of the marshlands. Our location is the ideal starting point for hikes, bike rides, and road trips to explore the North Sea coast. Fans of Theodor Strom will also find plenty to enjoy. The (former) restaurant “Der Schimmelreiter” is located nearby, as is the estate of the former dyke reeve.
