Escape to a peaceful, quaint lakeside retreat in the heart of Washington, Maine. Nestled on a small private lake, The Guest House is a cozy, private two-room, king bed getaway that's perfect for couples, small families, or anyone looking to unwind in nature.
Spend your days swimming, fishing, kayaking, and hiking nearby trails or bird watching including bald eagles that live on the lake. The Guest House is a comfortable 80 steps from the door to the dock. Two kayaks and a canoe are available for guests to rent. Launch for hand-carry or small aluminum boats adjacent to the dock.
Located in the heart of Midcoast Maine, The Guest House offers the tranquility of a private lake, charming coastal towns, lighthouses, hiking trails, and fresh seafood restaurants are all within an easy drive.
As evening settles in with the sunset in front of you, gather around and listen for the haunting calls of loons echoing across the lake, Weather you're enjoying your morning coffee by the water or watching the stars come out, this is a place to slow down and savor the beauty of Maine.

Guest Access
Guests have exclusive use of the private guest house, which is a separate building from the main cottage. The space includes two rooms.
• A dedicated bedroom with a king bed
• A combined living area and kitchenette with a pullout queen sleeper sofa
• A bathroom with a shower is accessible from both rooms.

Property Layout
The Guest House is located on the same property as the Host cottage. And may be staying in the main house during your visit. The guest house sits on one side of a quiet gravel road, while the lake and dock are directly across the road—80 steps door to dock. Parking of (2) cars maximum is allowed.
Wi-Fi
High-speed internet is available for streaming, browsing, and most remote work. Because of the rural location, brief interruptions can occasionally occur during severe weather. Guests with critical video meetings may wish to bring a mobile hotspot as a backup.
A Quiet Rural Escape
One of the best parts of staying here is the peaceful setting. While you may occasionally hear distant sounds from neighboring properties, the area is typically quiet, making it an ideal place to relax, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the sounds of the lake.

Feel free to join the Host at the fire pit. Small fires are allowed in the fire pit but wood is not supplied!
-Please remember that you are in the woods of Maine and the possibility of encountering mosquitos and other crawling insects exist. Bringing insect repellant is recommended for those times when they are active.

This property is on a fire road and is very private & somewhat secluded. The lake does not have a public boat launch. Only carry in are allowed, unless you own property. This helps to keep it Serene!
