<br>Welcome to our comfortable holiday home in a unique, secluded location right on the southern shore of Lake Hjorten—one of Småland’s largest inland lakes. Situated between Vimmerby and Västervik, the house offers everything you could wish for in a relaxing holiday in the heart of Småland.<br><br>Despite its quiet, nature-filled setting, the nearest supermarket is just a 15-minute drive away. For a refreshing dip, just take a short walk to the lakeshore—the perfect spot for a swim or a boat ride.<br><br>Wellness enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy: an outdoor sauna and a hot tub—both with a stunning view of the lake—ensure unforgettable moments of relaxation. Those who prefer to enjoy the peace and quiet outdoors can choose between the spacious west-facing terrace with panoramic views and the sunny south-facing balcony. And if the weather isn’t cooperating, the on-site orangery invites you to let your gaze wander over the natural surroundings in a sheltered and cosy setting.<br><br>The house itself is spacious and tastefully furnished. It features four bedrooms, two fully equipped bathrooms, a cosy living room with a wood-burning stove, and a dining room—both with magnificent lake views. The modern kitchen leaves nothing to be desired: a stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer combo with an ice maker, and microwave are all available. A washing machine with a built-in dryer is also available.<br><br>A rowing boat is available at the private dock and can be used free of charge. Anglers can easily purchase fishing licences at affordable prices at the local flower shop in Hjorted.<br><br>For vehicles, there is a garage with one parking space, as well as additional parking available on the driveway. The garage also features an electric car charging station available to our guests (electricity usage is billed separately).<br><br>We are happy to provide bed linens and towels upon request. The flat fee for this is 20 € per person per booking.<br><br>Suggested excursions in the area:<br><br>Vimmerby, the hometown of Astrid Lindgren, is just a 35-minute drive away. A visit to “Astrid Lindgren’s World” is a real highlight for fans of all ages of Pippi Longstocking, Emil from Lönneberga, and Ronia the Robber’s Daughter.<br><br>Just 10 minutes away is “Virum Älgpark,” where you can experience the king of the Nordic forests up close on a moose safari.<br><br>In the idyllic archipelago landscape surrounding the port city of Västervik (also just over half an hour away), you can enjoy wonderful boat trips. Västervik itself invites you to stroll through its numerous cafés, restaurants, and shops.<br><br>Other worthwhile destinations include the historic village of “Stensjö By” with its authentic charm, the abandoned “Kleva Gruva” mine, Hjorted’s Moped Museum, and much more.<br><br>We’re very much looking forward to welcoming you to our home and ensuring you have an unforgettable holiday in Småland!
