Enjoy nature and tranquility in our lovingly furnished and renovated barn apartment in the Rhön Biosphere Reserve. You’ll have the barn all to yourselves, just like a detached house. There’s also a storage room for bicycles and a meadow garden with beehives where you can sit outside. To get there, you’ll need to walk around the barn once. Great hikes and mountain bike tours are available right from the barn.
The accommodation
The barn is about 110 years old and has been lovingly renovated. In total, the apartment offers 50 square metres of living space with two rooms and an additional bedroom in the attic (i.e., there are two bedrooms, each with a double bed measuring 180×200 and 160×200): on the lower level, there is a kitchen-living room with a large kitchenette, a dining table, and a sofa area, as well as a bedroom and a bathroom with natural light. In the attic is another bedroom, accessible via a library ladder. Please note the low ceiling height here. The apartment features Rhöner oak flooring, while the attic has cork flooring. Additionally, some of the barn’s beams have been incorporated into the apartment’s design as exposed wood. The furnishings are a beautiful blend of traditional Rhöner farmhouse furniture and modern elements. The kitchenette was built from reclaimed barn wood.
Guest access:
The barn apartment has its own separate entrance; it’s like a detached house. The property includes a small outdoor seating area and a storage room for bicycles, etc. Barbecuing is also possible.
