This house is in a wonderful location. It's very central to many fun sites nearby. We had several issues. Some were resolved in a timely manner, and some were not. Wifi password was wrong, no trash bags, no soap in the master bathroom, no laundry or dishwasher soap, not enough towels, paper towels, or toilet paper, AC was in the master bedroom only, and the house got up to 80 degrees every afternoon despite only 60s outside. AC didn't work either. Opening windows helped, but cross-ventilation was poor. Lots of spices in the kitchen- no garlic, though, so bring your own. The BIGGEST issue we had was that we were locked out twice, both in the evenings after 8:45 pm. It appears that whoever set the lock codes for the door did not understand that if they set an evening time, we got locked out if we tried to come back after that time. I was able to get the local team to help by giving me the code to the lock box and a real key, but if they hadn't responded, we would have been locked out for the night. NOT COOL! We found an obviously dirty towel in the cupboard with clean towels, and a dirty towel under the bed with a bunch of dust bunnies. Surface cleaning was good, though.The local team was helpful and tried to resolve issues. The non-local team basically tried to make us feel like the Wi-Fi and door issue was something we were doing wrong, instead of a wrong code and being timed out of the lock.

Beautiful place in the heart of Oak Harbor

This property is within walking distance to downtown Oak Harbor and has convenient access to tourist attractions and day trips! The property only has AC in the master bedroom and can get uncomfortably hot. We enjoyed our visit and can't wait to come back

Needs work

This home looked like it was recently remodeled, and had new appliances in the kitchen and new fixtures in the bathrooms. However, the trash receptacles had not been placed out for pickup and both the black, trash receptacle, and the blue, recycle receptacle, were overflowing. We used the oven in the new stove and believe we were the first to do so, as there was strong, acrid oder from the oven when it heated, as though not all of the packing material had been removed when it was installed. Also, use of the oven set off the CO monitor (glad there was one) and we had to open all of the windows and doors to refresh the air in the house. Operating the TV was arcane at best and required that one pair a mobile device to the TV in order to watch a program. Also, when they remodeled, they either forgot to put in closets or the closets were eliminated, but there was no where to hang a shirt, skirt or pair of pants. We have rented Vacasa properties in the past and have always had a good experience. This property needs a lot of work to come up to the standards of properties we have previously rented.
