Villach: Seeblick & Seezugang zum Ossiacher See am Fuße der Gerlitzen Alpe

The apartment is located on Lake Ossiach with direct access to the lake. The 55-square-meter space features a bedroom, a living room with a sleeper sofa, a kitchen, a bathroom, a separate toilet, and a 20-square-meter terrace with a stunning view of Lake Ossiach and the Gerlitzen Alpe. The highlight is the private lake access with a sunbathing area, which is reserved exclusively for residents of the complex. The apartment accommodates up to 4 people and is perfect for a relaxing getaway or an active holiday.

The bedroom features a solid-wood double bed (180x200 cm) with organic mattresses. Blankets and two pillows in different firmness levels (80x80 and 80x60 cm) are provided for each guest. The bedding is made of 100% cotton. A chest of drawers with ample space is available for your clothes. This chest also contains extra blankets, should you need them. There is a bookshelf with books to inspire you, which you are welcome to borrow during your stay. A travel cot is also available upon request (please let us know in advance).

The living room features a large dining table with ample seating, a pull-out couch (sleeps 2 more), a smart TV, board games, and art supplies for the little ones.

In addition, there is a fully equipped kitchen where you can indulge your culinary cravings and whip up something delicious for yourself and your loved ones.

The new bathroom features a shower and plenty of space for your toiletries and cosmetics. We also provide shampoo, shower gel, and soap. The toilet is separate and not integrated into the bathroom.

You can enjoy the beautiful view of the lake or the Gerlitzen Alpe from the 20-square-meter terrace while having a delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Seating is provided on the terrace.

In winter, the apartment is, of course, heated and can be adjusted to your desired temperature.

A laundry room with several washing machines and dryers is available in the basement of the building (for a fee).

Additionally, during the summer months (starting in May), there is a kiosk on the ground floor where you can purchase fresh pastries daily for breakfast, for example.

The property includes a plot of land measuring approximately 30,000 m² with a large sunbathing area (sun loungers and umbrellas are provided at the accommodation), a playground for our youngest guests, tennis courts (for a fee), and much more. The highlight is direct access to the beautiful Ossiacher See. Bring your own stand-up paddleboard or rent a boat from providers around the lake to experience Lake Ossiach
and the beautiful (mountain) landscape from a different perspective.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the surrounding area. Whatever takes your fancy. If you’re looking to be active, you can explore the Gerlitzen Alpe in the immediate vicinity for excursions, hikes, or bike rides. For winter sports enthusiasts, there are 20 lifts, 52 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes, and 15 kilometres of natural ski trails available. You can visit Landskron Castle to see the Eagle Arena, where a highly recommended eagle show takes place on scheduled dates, or simply admire the ancient castle. Right next to Landskron Castle is the Landskron Monkey Mountain (same car park—head up to the castle on the right, and the Monkey Mountain is on the left). The Monkey Mountain is an open-air monkey enclosure home to around 160 Japanese macaques, which you can admire on a guided tour through their 40,000 m² habitat. You can also enjoy a bike ride around Lake Ossiach, which is about 28 km long—a great opportunity to explore the sights and recreational activities around the lake. For example, you can plan a boat tour that takes you from the historic Benedictine Abbey, along the Ossiacher Tauern mountains, to Gerlitzen and Landskron Castle, where you can experience the unique panorama of Lake Ossiach. During the cruise, the crew on board will pamper you with delicious ice cream creations, coffee, and more. You can board the boat right next to the complex where the apartment is located. The boats also take you to 14 destinations around the lake: everything from sports and culture to nature experiences is included.

Villach’s Old Town is about 8 km away (from the accommodation to the main square). Discover this nearby city and let yourself be enchanted by the events and attractions of this city of around 60,000 residents.
