About this property

Serene Cabin 2/1- 2 creeks, redwoods, theatre screen, and more in Redway Ca

Your Redway adventure begins at this unique, private redwood retreat tucked away among the trees and surrounded by the peaceful sounds of two year-round creeks. This cozy 2-bedroom cabin offers a blend of rustic Northern California beauty and unexpected comforts, making it a wonderful place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the surrounding redwoods.

The cabin comfortably accommodates guests with two California king beds featuring Purple mattresses, plus an additional queen bed. The primary bedroom is designed for serious relaxation, featuring a California king adjustable bed that fully reclines and includes massage settings, under-bed lighting, and convenient USB charging ports.

When it’s time to settle in for the evening, turn the living room into your own private movie theater. A large, fully reclining sectional provides plenty of room to stretch out for movie night in front of the 100-inch theater screen and projector. A lighted surround sound bar completes the experience—perfect for movies, streaming your favorite shows, or simply relaxing together after a day exploring Humboldt County.

The cabin is supplied by a precious natural spring-water system, one of the special features of rural mountain living. We ask guests to be mindful and respectful of water use during their stay. The home stays comfortable throughout the seasons with electric fireplaces for chilly redwood evenings and individual air-conditioning units for warmer days.

Outside is where this property truly becomes special. The cabin sits on approximately 20 private acres in the beautiful Redway area, with two creeks running through the property and redwoods surrounding you. Follow the lighted trail toward the creek, spend time listening to the water, explore the property, or simply sit outside and enjoy the quiet.

This is not a suburban vacation rental—it is a genuine rural Northern California retreat. The property is private and tucked away, and reaching the cabin is part of the adventure. The driveway is steep, and AWD or 4WD is recommended, particularly during wet weather. Guests will enter through a green cattle gate, continue along the private drive, cross a small bridge, and follow the road to the cabin. Detailed arrival directions are provided before check-in.

The cabin has one bathroom and a practical kitchen setup, including an on-demand hot-water system and portable dishwasher. Because we are surrounded by nature and operate on a spring-water system, the experience here is a little different from staying in a hotel—and that is exactly what many of our guests love about it.

The location makes a wonderful home base for exploring the redwoods and the natural beauty of Southern Humboldt while still giving you a private place to retreat at the end of the day. Spend your days exploring, hiking, visiting nearby communities, or simply staying right here and enjoying the creeks and forest.

Pets are welcome, so your four-legged family members can join the adventure too.

A few things to know before booking: this is a rural property surrounded by forest, wildlife, water, and the normal sights and sounds of nature. Guests should be comfortable with a more secluded setting. Water conservation is important, and we ask that any unexpected water issue or leak be reported immediately.

We also work hard to protect the peaceful environment of the property and surrounding valley. No smoking or fires are permitted anywhere on the property. Please do not bring glass, chemicals, or alcohol into the creek areas, and loud music or yelling outdoors is not permitted because sound carries easily through the creek and valley.

Guests are responsible for taking their trash to the local Redway transfer station before departure. The transfer station is closed Wednesdays and Thursdays, and our booking calendar is arranged accordingly. Full instructions are included in the house guide.

If you’re looking for polished city luxury, this probably isn’t your place. But if you’re looking for California king beds, a private movie-theater experience, towering redwoods, two creeks, quiet nights, fresh mountain surroundings, and a secluded property that feels distinctly Northern California, you’ve found it.

Come unplug, get comfortable, watch a movie on the big screen, fall asleep in a Purple mattress California king, wake up surrounded by redwoods, and spend a little time living at the pace of the creek.

We’re happy to assist with questions before or during your stay and want you to arrive knowing exactly what to expect so you can settle in and enjoy your Redwood retreat.

My family and I built this home before I knew I was going to buy it!

Why they chose this property

My family and I worked in Humboldt County for many years and half of my family still lives there. It is a beautiful place. I love the community as my family..

What makes this property unique

Aside from the two year-round rural creeks being in the middle of the Redwood national Forest and only 20 minutes from the beach. This house also has a relaxing theater screen and very comfortable purple beds.!
