The Saletalm holiday rental, renovated in 2024 and featuring no steps, welcomes you with Bavarian charm and serves as a cosy holiday home for solo travellers or couples.
Special care was taken when furnishing this holiday rental to ensure comfort for people with limited mobility.
It is possible to move throughout the apartment using a manual wheelchair or walker. A flat ramp leads you into the ground-floor holiday apartment.
The cosy living area with a fireplace and lounge chair invites you to relax. The small, functional kitchen with a dining area is equipped with all necessary utensils, a 2-burner stove, a coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster, and even a mini-dishwasher. A refrigerator (without a freezer compartment) is also available. You’re welcome to use the oven in the shared kitchen. The kitchen work area is wheelchair-accessible.
In the summer, enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening on your sunny terrace overlooking the countryside and the beautiful garden with a pond that belongs to the house.
The cosy bed (160 cm x 200 cm) is located in an alcove and is accessible only from one long side. Next to the cosy bedroom with a flat-screen TV is the modern bathroom with a floor-level shower, which is equipped with a shower stool with armrests and a shower mat. A shower wheelchair is available in the house and is welcome to be used. On both sides of the toilet are fold-down grab bars (grab bar dimensions: height 80 cm, width 70 cm, distance from the toilet 16 cm on each side).

Additional rooms or holiday apartments in the building (on the 1st floor) can be booked upon request for an additional fee.

A washing machine and dryer are available in the basement for all guests for a fee. The basement features a cosy lounge with seating for breakfast or for relaxing game nights. Free for you in our garden: You’ll find a Kneipp pool and plunge pool, a barefoot path, and a clothed sauna for four people with an outdoor shower (sauna open year-round, outdoor shower only in summer). Free parking is available right next to the house. Bicycles can be parked behind the house. Wi-Fi is available free of charge.

The holiday rental’s location is ideal for nature lovers and active travellers. Surrounded by the impressive mountain landscape and numerous opportunities for sports and outdoor activities, both hikers and cyclists will find plenty to enjoy. Shopping and restaurants are also nearby, making your stay particularly hassle-free. For culinary experiences, the nearest restaurant is just 2 km away. The Haus BergGesundZeit, lovingly designed in an Alpine style, is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the Oberschönau district. Its location at the foot of the Watzmann is perfect for your active holiday in our beautiful region. Start your hikes or mountain bike tours right nearby. In winter, when snow conditions permit, several cross-country ski trails wind through the municipality of Schönau.

A washing machine and dryer are available to all guests in the basement for a fee. In the basement, there is a cosy lounge with seating for breakfast or for relaxing game nights. Feel free to help yourself to books from our bookshelf (available for loan).
Free of charge for you in our garden: You’ll find a Kneipp pool and plunge pool, a barefoot path, and a clothing-required sauna for four people with an outdoor shower (sauna open year-round, outdoor shower available only in summer).
Free parking is available right next to the house. You can park your bike safely and conveniently at the back of the house. Here you’ll find sturdy, securely anchored bike racks for e-bikes, mountain bikes, and more. You can charge your e-bike’s battery right at the bike parking area; there are six outlets available there.

It’s about a 10-minute walk to the bus stop. From the train station to Haus BergGesundZeit, it’s about 5 kilometres (just go straight and then 150 metres of relentless uphill). The nearest bakery is a 5-minute drive away (Oberschönauer Str. 14, Bäcker Brüder). You’ll find restaurants and shops either in the Schönau centre “Unterstein” or in the town of Berchtesgaden. The “Bodner” inn, which serves traditional Bavarian cuisine, is a 5-minute drive away.
