This charming home is ONLY 500 feet from the beach access and offers so much! Horizon Ocean Views! Nicely decorated and very close to the beach…you will enjoy your "interlude"! 42-inch LCD Cable Color TV and four other TVs, one in each bedroom. 3 DVDs, 1 VCR, stereo surround sound with an iPod docking station, and ample deck furniture. Located directly across the road from the Currituck Club's 18-hole golf course! Other amenities include wireless high-speed internet, screened porch, covered and uncovered decks, and more! This home is kid-friendly! Experience what the Northern Outer Banks has to offer!

Top level: Living area with a large flat-screen TV, DVD player, sitting area, kitchen with a table for 4, dining area for 10, and a half bath. Half wrap-around deck with amazing views. It's a perfect area to watch the sunset or the sunrise every day!

Middle level: Master bedroom (queen) with TV; bedroom (full) with TV; master bedroom (2 twins) with TV; Bedroom (2 bunks) with TV and access to screened porch with a dining area.

Bottom level: There is an outdoor shower with a wrap-around covered deck area. Located on the deck is a gas grill. On this level, you will also find a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, as well as a washer and dryer.

Great location

We thoroughly enjoyed this property. I stayed with my husband and four young children, and it was perfect for our needs, with lots of space to spread out. The outside areas and screened in porch were a huge plus. And the sorry walk to the beach couldn't be beat. We especially appreciated the voucher towards beach gear rental, as it meant we could pack less. The check in and check it process was a breeze.

Wonderful property

The house was everything as advertised. Clean, spacious and a short walk to the beach. Very short drive to the town which had plenty of shopping, eating, and activities. Overall wonderful stay and we will be back

Great Family Vacation

We had our family of 7 here. 5 kids 17 to 7. We had a blast even though the weather didn’t cooperate. Very close to beach, great bedrooms, and space to hang. Close to places to eat and grocery stores. Plenty of places to have fun too.

Just Right

We had a great trip and enjoyed the house and the beach. Beach access is convenient with no hwy crossings and we had a really nice sand bar at low tide that was great for enjoying the water as it kept the waves at bay. Layout of house is good and the bathrooms and kitchen have nice stone and ceramic surfaces. Will definitely consider again for future stays.

The inside of the house is much better than the curb appeal observed from the outside. The A/C blew cold, and everything else worked well as expected. We were surprised to find some items that were not on the list of included such as hand soap in the bathrooms, dishwasher soap and dish soap. While we were prepared and had brought our own, it was nice to have extra if needed. There are some chairs on the upper deck to use, but not much else. The 2nd floor enclosed deck has plenty of furniture, but we didn't hang out there at all. The beds are firm - which was fine for us. There are plenty of blankets and pillows if needed. Otherwise, we enjoyed our visit and would stay here again.

Great property

This was our third time in Corolla, NC and we found this home to be really close to beach access and close to shopping, and things to do. The house was very nice and appeared to be updated recently. The bedrooms were all comfortable and the view from the deck allowed us to watch the sunrise with our morning coffee over the ocean. This was a very comfortable home to be in for the week.

Our experience with the property management was great. They were very responsive and check in/out was seemless. The house over met our expectations, if there was anything I could recommend would be upgraded tvs, cable, and improved beds...but we know we are at the beach and it was an amazing trip. Ty

Great location but the house leaves something to be desired

The house is in a great location with tons of beach space. However, the house layout is difficult for multi-family stays. The beds are rocks and the gigantic porch has no significant furniture.

Beautiful home, very disappointed I didn't get to see the beach, fell on step second day there, spent 3 hours at urgent care, was on crutches and boot, couldn't find a wheelchair chair to use anywhere. My family had a wonderful time and that's all that matters to me, fracturing my foot put a damper on my vacation but seeing my family together and smiling was enough for me.

Amazing Property

The house was beautiful and the walk to the beach was easy. The rooms were set up well. One Queen room did not have a bathroom and the beds were not super comfortable but we made do. The area was fantastic and close to groceries and shopping. We easily traveled to the 4x4 Carolla beach and found the wild horses. The beach for the property was very secluded and only our area used it which was nice because it was not overly crowded and we were able to spread out and relax. We loved our stay! The only thing that we wished for was to be right on the beach and be able to see the ocean but we knew that coming into it and for the price it was great.

Lovely house, great location, great time!

This house was recommended to us by relatives and it was everything they said it was. It was clean, comfy, and the kitchen was better stocked with cooking gear than we thought. The location was perfect for hitting the beach, biking to Duck Donuts, shopping or food. The historic village of Corolla was a nice bike ride and the museum was fascinating. We also loved biking up to the reserve for the horses. We didn't see any but it was fun to get to the sand dunes. We also took advantage of the kayaking, ax throwing, restaurants, and shopping in Corolla. Getting to the southern parts of OBX meant battling some traffic but there was enough to do in Corolla to keep us happy. Overall, it was a wonderful house in a great location and I would highly recommend it.

Shoreline is great - the house...not so much

First, let me say that I made this summer rental reservation through VRBO, which I will never do again. The house was completely run down (not like the pictures at all). Mold in the bathrooms, carpet filthy, beds lumpy, stove door was hanging off, the decking was coming up. It was a disaster. We called Shoreline and they responded immediately. They sent someone to clean the carpet, fix the stove, get rid of the mold in the bathrooms and fix the decking. The house, in the end, was still a dump, but Shoreline did a top notch job in responding quickly. I would go with them in the future.

Spur of the moment decision

Needs an overhaul. Deck furniture a must. No shade so how can you use it???? Furniture on the inside uncomfortable. Could not watch tv in most rooms because instructions were terrible. the living room had 7 remotes not labeled Access to the beach was DIFFICULT not just 500 feet to the ocean up steps and more steps then down steep steps...how do you do that with babies every day in 90 degree heat. We got a wagon but it couldn't go up steps and down steps

OSA-5 - Interlude

There are good features about this house, however, there were more problems than good features. First of all, the furniture was filthy dirty and broke down. There was no comfortable place to sit. Second, the air conditioning for the 2nd floor did not function. Third, the surfaces in the kitchen and tables were filthy dirty and the small table was about to collapse. Fourth, the master bedroom had a terrible smell that seemed to be coming from the tub. Fifth, all the showers and tubs looked to have black mold in the corners and crevices. Sixth, the bathroom downstairs which we never used, had black mold above the toilet. The weather was nice is the only good part of this vacation. I would hope the rental company would refund my rental money.

Great home-Poorly maintained

Home has great features and a well equipped kitchen. The carpets were soiled and not well vacuumed. Dirty and dusty between railings along stairs. Husband found prescription medicine on floor next to bed. If a child got that it could have been disastrous. All the dishes were greasy and had to be rewashed. The walls had dirt spots all the way to the ceiling in kitchen and dining area. Air conditioning in middle floor wasn’t cooling at all. Finally got it fixed on Tuesday, but wasn’t cooling again by Friday. When packing to check out by 9am a black SUV was scoping us out starting at 8:30, parked on a side street and as we were pulling out the vehicle pulled up to the end of the driveway and pulled in as soon as we pulled out of driveway. Talk about can’t waiting for you to leave!! Chances are we won’t stay there again.

Interlude review

Overall we really enjoy coming to the Interlude. We've now been twice. The house is spacious and well laid out. It suits our family very well, and the price is right compared to many other properties around. The downsides were mostly regarding upkeep and cleanliness of the property. At first when you drive up you can see a few of the wooden deck braces were hanging loose. The kitchen had 2 hanging light fixtures with missing globes so they were just the bulbs. About half of the window cranks were broken and could only be closed by going outside and pushing them closed from the deck. However, many of the windows are not accessible from the outside, so that meant we had the windows closed most of the time. The covered porch was covered in pollen and you could tell it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Additionally, some of the porch furniture was broken, and had been since our prior trip 2 years earlier. The deck furniture on the upper level was cheap plastic, which seemed out of place compared to other rentals which had much nicer furniture. The kitchen was missing a few important items like a full set of measuring spoons. Lastly, the floors did not seem to have been swept very well when we arrived. The TV died on us while we were watching a movie, but to their credit, they came and brought a new one within a day. The negatives I mentioned were not awesome, but in light of the price, still probably provided the right value for the price. We would likely go back again, maybe planning to invest a little time in mopping/cleaning the porch right away so we could enjoy that space better. Hopefully we wouldn't have to though.
