Eckhorst Farm, Landtraum

A warm welcome to Hof Eckhorst, to our comfortable holiday apartments in the countryside. Here, at the narrowest point between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, between Schleswig and Eckernförde, between the Schlei and the Hüttener Berge Nature Park. Country charm, country life, country delights, country children, country landmarks, and beloved countryside show just how beautiful life in the countryside can be. The apartments are individually decorated with themes such as the Baltic Sea, sunshine, and romantic Tuscany. Unwind in front of the wood-burning stove or while enjoying a soothing soak in the whirlpool tub beneath the starry sky in the spacious bathroom. A separate bathroom and a small storage room are also provided. Whether it’s breakfast or sunset, the magnificent view of our pastures will make you feel right at home. You’ll meet other guests in our barn hall or the fragrant wellness area with a sauna and a dream bath for two. Enjoy the summer by the lake or find peace and relaxation on the “Dreamer’s Bench” under the oak tree. You’ll hear the rustling of the leaves, smell the plants, and watch a contented herd of mares. “Landtraum” Apartment
You’ll step into the very elegant yet cosy two-level living area, decorated in shades of cream and red. Stylish, antique furniture is complemented by modern designer pieces. With the gentle crackling of the fireplace, you can relax and enjoy life.
The dining area adjoins the living room, and the separate, fully equipped kitchen invites you to feast. For special meals, we’d be happy to provide you with a fondue set, a raclette, or a wok.
A large, separate desk located in an alcove—complete with an internet connection and a large window—allows you to stay “online.”
The light-filled bathroom, with a view of the meadows from your own whirlpool tub and separate shower, leaves nothing to be desired.
The two bedrooms have light-colored laminate or carpeted floors and are each furnished with a double bed.

Holiday with your own horse, riding lessons: Would you like to bring your own horse, or ride one of ours? Whether it’s riding lessons or trail rides through the beautiful countryside, you’re very welcome here! Our riding facility offers: a 20 x 60-meter indoor arena, a 50 x 80-meter jumping arena, a 20 x 60-meter outdoor dressage arena, 2 lunging circles, a fenced-in gallop track, small cross-country jumps, and a water crossing. We organise training courses and regular events.

Our horse breeding programme: At Hof Eckhorst, we love Hanoverian horses. The horses shape our year. In the spring, the pregnant mares foal in the stables, while others are bred by the stallions through natural mating or artificial insemination. The grazing season begins in May, and both the foals and the broodmares spend day and night in their pastures. This is also when our competition season begins. The horses that have been broken in over the winter are presented for the first time at events and competitions. This continues through September. Then the horses return to the stables. You’re welcome to experience this with us. We look forward to seeing you!

Every Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the sauna area is free of charge. We offer massages, medical foot care, manicures, and osteopathic treatments provided by certified specialists right here at our facility.
