Ahoy and welcome to our “Kiek op de Toorns” holiday rental in “Haus Mövennest” on Borkum—an ideal retreat for your holiday by the sea. With room for up to six people, this accommodation offers the perfect atmosphere for families, couples, or friends looking to spend some relaxing days together. Just a short walk or bike ride, and you’re right at the North Sea!

You’ll find an optimal floor plan spread over two levels (2nd floor + attic) with three separate bedrooms, a bright living room, an open kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower. Charming nautical accents create that authentic North Sea vibe for your holiday by the sea. As the name “Kiek op de Toorns” suggests, the location above the rooftops offers a wonderful view towards the Old Lighthouse. The apartment is situated in a quiet spot facing the adjacent courtyard.

On the first level, a cosy living area with a corner sofa, a swivel TV, and a CD player invites you to relax. In the open kitchen, equipped with a 4-burner stove, oven, and refrigerator with freezer compartment, you can quickly and easily prepare delicious meals. Afterwards, you can sit together at the large dining table with four chairs and a bench to enjoy your meal and chat. One of the separate bedrooms, featuring a double bed (180 cm x 200 cm) and a wardrobe, is also located on this level.

A spiral staircase leads to the upper floor, where you’ll find two additional bedrooms—one with a double bed (160 cm x 200 cm) and the other with two single beds (each 80 cm x 200 cm). This floor also features a bright hallway with a closet, as well as a bathroom with a shower and toilet.

A high chair is provided as standard for our younger guests. You’re welcome to request a cot.

Pets are welcome (up to two dogs upon request).

General Information: Free Wi-Fi is available. Fans are available for particularly hot days. You have shared access to a washing machine and dryer (coin-operated). The apartment includes a private parking space in the courtyard at house number 5 (City Centre).

With us, you’ll enjoy a holiday where everything is within easy reach! “Haus Mövennest” is located in a very central yet quiet spot right in the heart of town. The island train station, shops for daily necessities, and the shopping streets Bismarckstraße and Franz-Habich-Straße are all conveniently within a two- to three-minute walk. The Nordbad, which invites you to relax with its wide sandy beach and sports facilities, as well as the beautiful promenade with bars, cafés, and a bandstand, are just a short 11-minute walk or a 4-minute bike ride away. Recreational facilities such as the “Gezeitenland” wellness and water park, the “Kulturinsel,” and the “Nordseekletterpark” are also within easy reach.

Over 120 km of paved bike and hiking trails through largely unspoiled nature, as well as the seemingly endless white sandy beach, invite you to take long excursions on Borkum. You can easily rent bicycles from nearby bike rental shops and then explore the island while enjoying the refreshing North Sea air.
