Sonnenhaus Harz - Cozy half-timbered house in Bad Grund
Relax in our cosy half-timbered house in Bad Grund. The townhouse is located at an elevation of about 400 metres on the southern slope of the Iberg, in a historic, listed half-timbered area on a cul-de-sac. We can accommodate up to 6 guests. Nearby, you’ll find hiking trails, the Iberg Stalactite Cave, the Weltwald, the Hübichenstein, two cafés, museums, and much more. An ideal spot for a relaxing holiday right next to the forest. We look forward to welcoming you!
The Accommodation Our 100 m² cottage is lovingly furnished. It’s filled with natural light, and there are sunny spots in front of the house. The terrace at the edge of the forest offers a pleasant atmosphere. On cold days, you can enjoy the cosy warmth of the fireplace in the living room.
The house features three separate bedrooms and two bathrooms (including one with a shower). One of the bedrooms is a walk-through room. Another bedroom is located behind one of the bathrooms. This makes the house particularly suitable for families or for people who know each other well. A high-speed fiber-optic Wi-Fi connection is available to guests.
The living area features a wood-burning stove, a TV, a dining table that seats 6, and a sofa area. One of the bedrooms has a workspace if needed. The garden is equipped with a seating area and a grill. There are also toys for children, a high chair, books, and hiking maps. Hiking trails run directly behind the house. A supermarket, bakery, cafes, and restaurants are located about 800 metres away in the village.
Optional linens package: An optional linens package can be booked for each person: 15.00 euros per person, consisting of bed linens and 2 towels.
Note: Due to the stairs, our house is not suitable for people with limited mobility.
Additional important information: The spa town of Bad Grund charges a visitor’s tax. It amounts to €2.10 per person per night. For more information, please visit the Bad Grund municipal website.
Would you like to enjoy the Harz Mountains with another family? It is possible to book the neighbouring house across the street for the same period, provided it is available on your desired dates. The house can accommodate up to 5 people. We’re happy to help arrange this, but please note that it must be booked separately.
