Amazing Villa!!

My family stayed at the villa for March Break and it was amazing. Perfect place and amazing location. 5 minutes from town with lots of restaurants, shops, etc. The Villa had a fantastic view and was very clean! Will be back at some point!

This property was excellent! The design and layout are excellent for relaxing.

My family (partner and son) stayed for a few nights and it was excellent. So relaxing. There were so many different places around the property to sit and relax. The kitchen had everything you need and it’s a short easy drive into town if you need anything. Also, Samara beach is the best in the region (in our opinion of course). Really we would 100% book this property again.

Spectacular View

Our stay at House of G was nothing short of magical. The most amazing views of Sámara Beach from anywhere in the home including pool. The house is perfect and had all the amenities we required, including a private secluded pool! From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. Absolutely everything we needed was at the house, and only minutes to the beach/town by car. We will return!

Fantastic views from this property and ability to have shade when needed. Lovely property with a plunge/splash pool. Beds were great and AC worked. Would love a propane BBQ to complete the kitchen as the charcoal was a bit finicky to use. Luis was prompt in replying to questions and concerns and did his best to ameliorate a water issue during the end of our stay. Thanks Shannon and Luis for a lovely week!

Great view

The4 home is beautiful but you need a car to access the property and to get back and forth from the beach and town. The one issue was that there is no dryer. It was difficult to wash towels and we needed to request clean towels. We also did not have enough comforters for the beds.

Great view but disappointing pool

The view from this place is amazing, and the daily sound of the howler monkeys is so fun. The interior of the house was very clean on arrival and the kitchen was nicely stocked, though a microwave and a working toaster would have been appreciated. Only the two bedrooms, which are upstairs have A/C and the units were very noisy. For me the downside was the swimming pool, which i had been looking forward to spending a lot of time in due to the climate being so hot and humid. It was lined with very rough stucco (as opposed to smooth tile or paint) that created lots of dirt and grit on the bottom and it was a surface you wouldn't want to scrape your body or toes against. I was grateful that other family members renting nearby had a nicer and cleaner pool for us to hang out in. Otherwise it was a very relaxing place to be with an enchanting view and excellent internet service which we needed.

Beautiful View

We stayed a week in Samara and it was our first visit to Costa Rica. The view is really what makes this place stand out. The whole place is lovely, but be aware that it is very hot and humid. The pool was a perfect cool-down spot although we did not like that the outdoor security camera spotlighted the pool - it felt quite intrusive for family time. I understand the need for them but maybe find a better location. The road from town/beach to the property is rough (but short), and manageable without 4WD. We wished we had booked a shorter stay in Samara and more time in other areas, for variety. But the town grew on us, and the people of Samara are so kind and welcoming, even with all the tourists arriving. The food/restaurants are amazing - tons of choices. Loved El Cobrillo which was a little way out of town, and Sheriff on the beach. Gusto has great pizza and you can sit in their beach chairs when you order at lunchtime. The best local tour was the 4x4 quad bike (Outback) tour and the El Churo snorkeling/kayaking. We only saw a couple of howler monkeys (heard many), iguanas, and a couple of macaws. No other wildlife really. Groceries/restaurants are similarly priced to the US - nothing cheap here! Go early (7am) for amazing croissants at the local Boulangerie. Roots Bakery has fab coffee and baked goods to go. We enjoyed our stay overall. Stunning property. Easy to park in town (free) for beach/shopping.

The perfect Sámara home!

This was our first time visiting Costa Rica. We had no idea where to stay and chose this property based on the home & private pool. We stayed 2 weeks which was too long since Sámara didn’t have much to offer however if you are ok with driving to other destinations it’s a great home base. There were 3 of us & the hardest thing we faced was functional indoor seating. Only 2 barstools so 1 was standing to eat since the mosquitos bothered us too much to always eat outside. 2 more stools would make a big difference! We had a few maintenance issues but Luis helped us out immediately & we couldn’t have been happier with his assistance and advice. We travelled with our 3 year old and spent every day in our pool. Perfect size, in shade most of the day which trust me, you will appreciate! We stayed on the side with the smaller pool. 👌 We loved the authentic vibe of Sámara however it was lacking in good shopping and restaurants & we were shocked at the price of groceries. We didn’t like the beach however you can travel 5 minutes down the road to Playa Corillo for nice sand and miles of surf. If we travelled again we would split our time with nearby Playa Guiones (the best beach) & tons of shopping & food but much more commercialized. From our deck we saw macaws, white-nosed coati, howler monkeys, a scorpion, geckos, birds & an ocean view to die for! Book some time at this house, you won’t regret it! ✨

Our stay at this property was amazing. We surfed daily, zip lined, and enjoyed to Tican culture. Luis was amazing and helpful. He has coconuts waiting for us and we ate mangos from the mango tree all week long. Pura Vida!

Loved this house!

The house was all we’d hope it would be. Great location, amazing views. Super comfortable. Loved walking down to and along the beach most mornings. Monkeys in the trees almost every day on the way. The walk back up the hill was challenging but just meant guilt free dining for the duration. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful place!

Too Bad the description of The house was not the reality: the house is actually Twin with another, which is never said. There are not 2 bathrooms plus à separate toilet but only one bathroom including shower and toilet And one separate toilet. No microwave, no dishwasher, no laundry dryer And a shared washing machine. If you are lucky with quiet neighbors as we were, it is ok. View is amazing.

Very comfortable house with amazing views!

We went to Samara over Spring Break and had a very memorable time. Samara, Costa Rica is a great place to be with a ton of things to do for adults and kids. The house itself is very nice and the pictures are quite accurate. The beds are very comfortable and there is a useful kitchen area with all of the utensils and plates that you need. We cooked there quite a bit and there are several small to medium sized markets and grocery stores with plenty of reasonably priced products. As far as arranging excursions, Luis helped us every step of the way -- this guy is a rockstar. Extremely personable, he is what really made our trip one to remember. Finally, the owners, Shannon and Axel, were terrific. Shannon was very responsive to questions that we had - they were committed to ensuring our satisfaction and it really showed. Bottom line is that you cannot go wrong if you stay in this house. You will not be disappointed! Pura Vida!

Amazing views, lovely property!

We had a wonderful time at this rental property in Samara! My husband and I and our four girls (ages 6-21) all stayed in the home. The view was more than I ever expected, so much more amazing in person than in the pictures. The house was well equipped with everything that we needed and it was great to have a private pool right outside the door! Shannon was great about responding and getting back to me quickly. The property manager Luis was helpful and even cut down some fresh coconuts for us to enjoy the water from. The town was laid back and relaxed, just how a beach town should be. All of the locals were very friendly and helpful. The beach was so beautiful and despite the town being quite busy, it was not crowded at all and felt very private. The only thing for us with having younger kids, although it's not too far to the beach (took us about 15 mins), it was very steep and pretty difficult for our 6 year old. No problem though, we were able to just park right by the beach as we had a rental car. Thank you Shannon for allowing us to stay in your home and make memories that will last us a lifetime!
