About this property
Riverfront. 5 Beds, 3 Baths
The River's Edge is a perfect mountain getaway with large family gathering areas both inside and out. Sit with clear views of the river while listening only to its sound as it gently rolls by the back deck. Watch moose as they graze the willow thickets on the river's edge down the Colorado River Valley above Grand Lake. Walk a few steps from the cabin and try your fishing skills on a ½ mile stretch of semi-private water. Our cabin has all the modern conveniences, new furniture and appliances. River's Edge is nestled on over an acre of land to ensure private quiet enjoyment of the majestic mountain and river views where all that can be heard is the rumbling of the river. Located in a private community with semi-private fishing access out the back door and fishing and fishing/boating access to Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake, and Lake Granby. Snowmobile access 1/2 mile away. Hike the private river access across from our 1.24 acre lot or sit and watch the moose and big game that follow the river or picnic on the shore of one of the lakes. We are located only five minutes to the town of Grand Lake or Rocky Mountain National Park. Elk, Moose, Deer, and Fox frequent our lush property. This is a beautiful cabin in the tall pines.

About the host
Hosted by Kathy Pehanich
My husband and I purchased this property as a vacation home for our family of 3 grown children, and 9 grandchildren.
Like most folks, we just wanted peace and happiness for our family and friends. We were fortunate enough to be able to purchase this home where we have made many memories when family gathers for holidays, or just to unwind for a few days. I am now widowed but still love to share our special place with guests.

Why they chose this property
We chose Grand Lake for several reasons. If you go into the village, you won't see fast food chain restaurants or neon lights. That said, you can get a gourmet meal if you choose to do so.
We enjoy boating and fishing on the 3 nearby lakes, reservoir and several rivers.
On the flip side, there are countless outdoor activities year around. Also, within an easy 30 minute drive is the world renounced ski resort of Winter Park. Within 20 minutes is the smaller more intimate resort of Sol Vista.
To sum it up, Grand Lake has it all without the hustle and bustle of most resort areas.

What makes this property unique
When we pulled up to view this home, the first thing we noticed was the sound of gently flowing water. The house itself was immaculate to the point that we thought it was new construction. For us, it was a no brainier. In the Summer, we open the windows and go to sleep to the sounds of the river. It also doesn't hurt to go out the back door and go fishing.
