About this property

Peaceful Island Bliss Will Be Yours

We invite you to be our guests in our remodeled and upgraded condo studio. ** Hawaii Tax I.D. TA 146881126401 & GE 146881126401**.
We are located on the western shores of Maui in the beautiful laid back city of Kihei where you can enjoy the beautiful sea breezes flowing through the unit. It is available for one, two or three people. This quiet location is across the street from Kalepolepo Beach which is perfect for catching our beautiful island sunsets or reading a good book.
Our condo is enhanced by a private lanai overlooking a beautiful garden & tennis court at the Kihei Bay Surf condos in a very quiet area away from the street noise. Perfect for morning coffee or an evening toast.

Our unit features a very comfortable queen size bed and a sleeper sofa that opens to a queen memory foam platform bed. Our bathroom has a tiled walk-in shower and our kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, stove & oven, a dishwasher and a microwave as well as toaster, coffee machine, pots/pans, dishes, and serving ware. This charming studio has a ceiling fan, A/C, cable television, FREE high speed wifi internet connection, and a Blue Ray DVD player for your convenience.

The complex is built around a central courtyard with most units facing into the landscaped area. The buildings are low rise (only two stories). In addition to a swimming pool, the grounds feature a hot-tub, tennis court, and a BBQ area with gas grills. There is a community laundry facility in the back of the complex (pay with phone app). There is one free parking space provided for all our guests.

Across the street is a small whale sanctuary park with viewing telescopes and educational displays. The park has shade trees, picnic tables, and a shallow lagoon for swimming. There are also archaeological displays of the ancient Hawaiian fish ponds and a village site.

Sugar Beach is located just a couple of minutes by foot down Kihei Road, from where you can walk or run 3.5 miles along a sandy beach, passing only a few buildings. The swimming beaches of Charley Young, Kamaole I, II and III, and Keavakapu are a very short drive by car or scooter into Kihei. A short drive further south are more secluded beaches as well as the famous, and our favorite, Makena Beach.

If you are coming to Maui, we can provide the perfect base for a relaxing vacation, or a more adventurous exploration of the island's natural beauty. We provide full beach gear for your convenience; large towels, snorkel equipment, Tommy Bahama Beach Chairs, Tommy Bahama Beach Umbrella, and a cooler for snacks, lite lunch or evening sunset picnic on the beach.

Sweet place with everything we needed -and then some-! The owners were quick to respond to any questions; they were very accommodating. It was a quick walk to the beach and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

Fabulous Place to Stay!

Nice place to hang out for 3 weeks - very spacious studio, very clean, nicely decorated, had dresser for storing clothes and had everything that we needed (kitchen stuff and beach chairs). Communication with the owner was fabulous. Before and during the trip, if I had a question, I quickly got a response and answer. Nice complex with beautiful pool/hot tub area right across the street from a great beach - perfect for viewing sunsets. We definitely hope to return and stay here again. It was a great experience that made our Maui trip perfect.

We enjoyed our stay, the unit was clean and had everything we needed. The location was great and neighborhood was safe and quiet. We did not use the pool however it looked clean and well kept. The a/c was a godsend and they had guide books to help plan out your activities for the day. Thanks for everything! We can’t wait for next time.

Our housekeeper does a wonderful job cleaning and provides a “starter” set of essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, etc., as this is a vacation rental, not a hotel room. Affordable Condo in Maui

Don was very good with corresponding and replied very quickly. The place is well supplied with everything you will need for the beach - boogie board, snorkel equipment, towels, cooler, umbrella, beach chairs, etc. The kitchen was also well supplied - we cooked several meals during our week long stay (April 11 to 18, 2018) - appreciated having the full size fridge. It is close to Kalepolepo Beach which is just across the road. Our two complaints would be the poor lighting (low energy compact fluorescent lightbulbs?) & a very noisy A/C. On a few hot nights the A/C did not seem to work efficiently enough to keep the temp at a comfortable level even after trying several settings. Overall our stay was enjoyable with the exception of the A/C.

Mahalo Vaughn for the nice review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Our air conditioning unit is a window type. It is only about two months old and operates fine (we have stayed there overnight ourselves). This type of unit does create some white noise which is normal. Our complex is older so the units all have this type of cooling. As for the lighting, I just installed a new lamp under the ceiling fan. It amply lights the room beneath it. I will go to the unit this evening to see if greater wattage bulbs are necessary. Mahalo again for staying with us and also for bringing your concerns to our attention. Ted

Ted and Dom's condo is in a great spot, with the beach right across the street and great restaurants nearby. We found it to be central to everything, making drives around the island a bit easier. The place is comfortable and has every amenity you need.

Ted and Dom's place worked out perfect for what we needed. A place close by to the airport as my family was only here for one night. Some of the most important things or me are cleanliness- and this was great. Bed was ok. Everything needed was provided including linens and a starter supply of toilet paper sand paper towels. We stayed here for a week. I wasnt sure on what to bring from home and after getting here I needed nothing really. They supplied everything in the kitchen you could need except maybe a sharp cutting knife. Which we did bring. No need to pack extra tp. Paper towels. The unit is perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. I would bring from home a sharp knife, coffee for the first morning (there are filters already here) may 3 clothes pins,ziplock bags and foil. Would recommend staying here .

Aloha and thank you for taking time to look at our listing. We fell in love with Hawaii many years ago and always hoped we could be fortunate enough to one day buy a property here. Well our dream came true!

Why they chose this property

We chose Kihei Bay Surf for many reasons. Its location is 'No Ka Oi' or the best. We are centrally located to Wailea, Lahaina and Kaanapali. Kahului International Airport is a short 11 miles away as is the start of the famed 'Road to Hana'. We also love that our condo is directly across a two-lane road to the beautiful West Maui shore. The pool/jacuzzi area is fantastic as well as the well-maintained tennis court and a community laundry facility. Two BBQs for use as well. Being that Kihei Bay Surf is so fully contained, it was an easy choice for us to purchase here.

What makes this property unique

Maui has always been our favorite island - don't tell the others. The experiences here are endless. From Haleakala Volcano to lush rain forests, from sun-filled pristine beaches to fine dining and shops, Maui has everything anyone could ask for.
