The somewhat bumpy journey over a gravel track is something you'll gladly put up with - after all, when such a jewel is waiting for you, aren't the most beautiful treasures sometimes guarded by a dragon? At Can Joaquin you'll feel like you've won the top prize in the Fincallorca lottery - a place on the sunny side of life is guaranteed here, whether in the opulent main house, the cosy guest retreat or in the garden! The spacious property in typical Mallorcan style with two windmills resembles a private leisure area with short walks, pool, badminton court (where you can even play volleyball), outdoor chess board, covered table tennis table and equipped trim trail and a round gazebo with hammock to keep you constantly active. We guarantee you won't have to spend a moment worrying about how you or your children will keep busy during your holiday; this villa provides a chill factor for young and old alike and with a lovingly designed playground with sand, play equipment and playhouse, children are guaranteed not to get bored. Add to this the luxurious outdoor kitchen in the huge courtyard and the large brick barbecue next to the pool terrace, and you have everything you need to celebrate outdoor living and extend your days naturally into the balmy summer nights. However, it would be more than a shame not to be able to enjoy the beauty and privacy of the property and its views in peace; there is an overwhelming choice of seating, loungers, benches, chairs, tables and terraces behind hemispherical hedges or under trees and bougainvilleas, either with a view or tucked away. First use the fitness trail, then become a master of the siesta... Plantations of oranges, lemons, kiwis, apples, vines, pomegranates, bananas, peaches and avocados, constantly added by the owners, complement the lush vegetation of old fig trees that bear the best fruit. Of course, you are also welcome to sample everything at the appropriate time of year.



But let's not forget the inside of the villa!

Napping indoors can be downright tempting when the bedrooms have air conditioning and access to a balcony terrace (the master bedroom has two balconies with stunning views!) and are so luxuriously furnished with TV and chill-out area that you'll be only too happy to retreat to your own space for a while. Metal bed, wooden bed, wicker bed - which do you prefer?

If you like cool interiors reminiscent of northern latitudes, you'll love the blue dormitorio with integrated bathroom and beach house-style locker. In other words: Mallorca meets Africa! Warm, bright colours, airy wickerwork, high-quality stone and tasteful accessories transform the cultures of two sun-kissed peoples into an interior design that still offers space for modern elements. The designer fireplace and flat-screen TV sit side by side in the lodge's luxurious living room, almost like twins, and in the semi-circular, fully equipped kitchen made of wood and stainless steel, preparing a fiery Tanzanian fish dish is just as easy as a Spanish paella. Cook a creative crossover dish and all your companions will flock to your table in a flash from all corners of the property. Even the kitchen at Canito Joaquin, which is decorated in the same style as the main house, stays cold. There's room for everyone on the sunny side of life!



The region around Cales de Mallorca is dotted with caves (Cova des Pirata, Cova des Pont or Coves dels Hams, to name but a few), and many of the rocky and sandy coves so praised in every travel guide are also guarded by dragons for those who want to prove their endurance to gain access, but are also richly rewarded by the gods of the sea. But if you prefer to stay in siesta mode, the tranquil harbour town of Portocolom with its narrow streets, cafés, fish restaurants and wide avenue of plane trees invites you to wander aimlessly while the view from the nearby monastery of San Salvador awaits The friendly town of Felanitx in the interior of the island will amaze you. At Vall DDor Golf Club you can not only swing a club; you can also visit a very good restaurant, take picturesque walks and play battle tennis.

The latter is also possible at Rafael Nadal's huge tennis academy, which is just a 12-minute drive away in Manacor. The south of Mallorca has so much in store for you ... In a rural location, between Porto Colom and Porto Cristo, with panoramic views of the sea and mountains, on a cultivated plot of almost two hectares, Can Joaquin stretches out in the sun, with views of the sea in the distance, adorned with a mountain range in the background. Portocolom, one of the most charming towns on the south-east coast, is only a few minutes away by car. The proximity to the water and the so-called coastal road, which leads all the way to SAlqueria Blanca, make it easy to discover new bays or promenades off the beaten track, such as in Cala dOr. Golf enthusiasts will also get their money's worth. The marvellous Vall D'Dor Golf Club, just a few minutes away, will exceed your expectations.
