This private mountain lodge is situated in a completely secluded location in Val di Rabbi, nestled within the protected natural surroundings of the Stelvio National Park. Surrounded by forests, alpine meadows, and the valley’s impressive mountain slopes, it offers a place that has become rare today: true silence, unspoiled scenery, and a sense of space that extends far beyond the house itself.
The building itself has a unique history. Originally built as a traditional “maso”—an alpine mountain barn—it was carefully converted into a private holiday home with the utmost respect for the existing structure and in accordance with the national park’s strict regulations. The original building fabric has been fully preserved. The result is not a staged retreat, but an authentic home with substance, character, and atmosphere.
On the ground floor is the kitchen-dining area with a fireplace, a dining area, and a built-in sofa bed. This space is intentionally kept simple and serves as the heart of the home—a place for shared meals, long conversations, or quiet evenings by the fire. The combination of the original construction and functional furnishings creates a special, almost timeless atmosphere.
The bedrooms on the upper floors offer privacy and tranquility. Thanks to the house’s location and the complete absence of through traffic, a silence prevails that is rarely found in the Alps these days. In the morning, light streams into the house across the surrounding slopes; in the evening, it grows quiet—without artificial background noise, without distractions.
A key element of this place is its immediate proximity to nature. About 250 metres below the house, the Torrente Rabbi flows through the valley. Its steady, gently muffled murmur can be heard from the house and subtly accompanies your stay. The river is within walking distance and offers a special place to linger, cool off, and unwind in the summer.
Trails begin right at the house, leading through forests and along streams into the surrounding mountains. Hikes literally start right at your doorstep. The region also offers a wide range of opportunities for mountain biking, nature observation, and—within easy reach—guided horseback rides. The entire Val di Sole is known for its scenic diversity and authentic Alpine culture.
The nearest village, Malé, is about 5 km away and offers shopping, restaurants, and access to other attractions in the region. Despite this proximity, the house remains a deliberately secluded retreat that offers privacy and independence.
This place is specifically designed for guests who appreciate peace and unspoiled nature and are seeking a mindful break. It is not a traditional holiday home in the sense of modern, fully equipped accommodation, but rather a special place with a clear philosophy.
Important to know: The house does not have a stable Wi-Fi connection, and cellular coverage is also limited. This is part of the concept—an invitation to refocus on what truly matters: nature, time, and the immediate experience of the surroundings.
The mountain house is particularly well-suited for people who consciously choose simplicity, who appreciate the unpretentious, and who seek quality not in amenities but in atmosphere and location. Those who define exclusivity not by comfort but by tranquility, space, and authenticity will find an extraordinary place here.
A place for people who are no longer searching but want to settle in.
