Welcome to Hale Honu (House of the Sea Turtle)! Panoramic ocean views and beautiful sunsets await you from this spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom ocean front home at the Sands of Kahana. This upgraded beachfront condo is literally steps away from the ocean on the 3rd floor. Enjoy incredible views of Lanai and Molokai islands by day, spectacular sunsets and star-filled skies by night.

The Sands of Kahana combines the services of a hotel lobby with the convenience and spaciousness of a deluxe condominium resort. We are located on beautiful Kahana Beach, midway between world famous Kaanapali and Kapalua. It is just a short drive from historic Lahaina town and conveniently located near world-class golf courses, Whaler’s Village and a wide variety of unique shops and fabulous dining opportunities. We are walking distance to Kahana Gateway Center with shops and restaurants including Maui Brewing Company.

The property has several amenities including a main pool & hot tub, kids pool, tennis, pickleball and basketball courts, 2 gyms, a restaurant & bar and gas BBQ areas that are cleaned daily. The Sands of Kahana is an ocean lover's tropical paradise where you can whale watch (in season), paddle board, kayak, snorkel, body surf, swim, boogie boarding, etc.

With approximately 1,850 square feet, our condo is larger than most rentals and has a fully equipped, updated kitchen (including a reverse osmosis water system), bar area with wood countertop and second refrigerator for drinks, Wi-Fi, TVs and DVD players in the front and all bedrooms, 2 lanais', central A/C, large capacity washer & dryer and a safe for your valuables. We also provide an iron, ironing board, hairdryers, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas. For the little ones, we have a highchair, Pack-N-Play, toys, DVD's, games, sand buckets, shovels and beach toys and floating carrier for pool.

As a corner unit, all 3 bedrooms have views, and none share a common bedroom wall for privacy. The second bedroom is large enough to add the queen size, bed height inflatable to sleep 4 comfortably. It also has a separate lanai. Note: These are real bedrooms – no open lofts. The twin beds in the 3rd bedroom can be converted into a king bed if you prefer. In addition, our place is quieter than most as the open slat windows were replaced with glass blocks to keep out hallway noise.

Cost transparency is very important to us. Please note that the VRBO quote plus the resort required On-Site Check-In Fee (currently $75.00 paid to the front desk on arrival) is the total cost. here are no hidden internet, daily resort, pool, towel or parking fees.

Parking: No charge for additional vehicles. Covered parking is available in each building.

Grocery Service: Want the refrigerator and cabinets stocked when you arrive? No problem! Just ask how.

Early Check-in's and Late Check-Out's: We have options available!

We had an amazing stay. It started from the day we booked this. The owner reached out immediately to give us some inside scoop on the area, restaurants, what to get and not get at Costco, you name it. They are totally engaged with their guests. The condo is even nicer than the pictures. We had 7 adults and we were never on top of each other. The beach was right there, you’d hear the ocean and best of all, see the turtles swimming by! We cooked a lot, they have anything you’d need. The complex was clean, very well maintained and parking is covered and close to the elevator. It was easy to get a beach lounger or pool, but if you go to another beach there were backpack chairs to use. I’d stay here over a resort any day! We hope to go back!!

We have stayed at the Sands Of Kahana several times as it is our favorite location in Maui. The unit has all the accommodations of home and has a beautiful view ocean front location. The owner was great with communication with several emails and even a phone call during our stay. I would highly recommend staying here!

Great place to stay for families with kids

We stayed at Lisa's condo with our kids and family friends, in total there were four adults and four kids under ten. The condo was perfect for us. There was plenty of room for everyone and the condo was stocked with everything that we could need. The beach was great for the kids and we saw turtles every day! We would definitely stay here again when coming back to Maui!

Million dollar view. Condo is spacious for our party of six. We really enjoyed having the pool and beach just a few feet apart. Lisa was quick to respond to any questions we had. The condo was so beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice. Our family stayed for several nights and it was difficult to leave. The condo was well equipped from sunscreen to snorkel gear. I would definitely stay there again.

Our 50th Anniversary Trip

It was our dream to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our children in Hawaii. It was so important to find the perfect place to stay…and we did it! This VRBO has everything. It’s beautifully maintained, very roomy, and right on the beach. The view of the sunset from the balconies is magnificent! Lisa, the owner, has thought of everything from beach toys to toothpaste to make for a comfortable, carefree stay. We definitely want to return to Hawaii and THIS is the place we want to stay!

This property was more than we ever could have imagined! It was fully stocked with everything we needed..and more. Lisa was the best hostess we have ever dealt with through VRBO. Beautiful location

The host made this one of the best rental properties we've stayed in. She is so kind and it truly feels like you are visiting a friend. The condo comes already stocked the condo with everything you could possibly need. Im talking paper products, personal hygiene items, snorkeling equipment, beach towels and activities, board games, books, and more. Trust me, they've got it all. Plus, the host is always available to give you suggestions on things to do while on the island. On top of all that, the location is stunning. You wake up every morning and go to sleep every night with the best view. I would highly recommend this property.

Great location

This was an amazing condo. We had a great time. While Lahaina Town & Kaanapali Beach were packed, our area & beach were crowd free. I can't say much for the restaurant on site but the actual unit was amazing with a view to die for. We would watch the sunsets from the lanai as well as seeing the whales playing in the water. Such a great experience. Unit had everything we needed & made our stay all the better. Lisa, the owner, was helpful & readily available to help when needed. Only criticism would be that the bed wasn't that comforttable & new pillows on the bed in the master bedroom would be helpful but we would most definitely stay here again.

Best Condo at the Sands

We stayed for 7 days at this Condo. My Family of 3 and my cousin and her family of 4 (3 children under the age of 8). The Condo was so roomy, we never felt like we were on top of each other. They have thought of everything, this condo is so well equipped, all you have to do is purchase food and beverages. We rented snorkel gear for all 7 of us and snorkeled every day off the beach. There were beach chairs and tons of beach towels, beach toys for the kids and boogie boards. Amazing views from the balcony, we would sit in the morning and have our coffee and in the evening watch the sunset with a cocktail. The pool was great, with 3 kids, we spent most of our pool time at the kids pool, parents in the spa. This was my cousins first trip to Hawaii and we are already planning to be back in 2016. I would not stay anywhere else on the island. Thank you to Lisa!

Sands of Kahana condominiums are known for being some of the largest condos on Maui. This unit, in particular, stands out by offering 2 separate lanais for guests to enjoy. Located right on the beach, its sunset views are unbeatable. This is one of the few privately owned units (many are timeshare) with upgraded furniture and central A/C. Being a corner unit, it is much quieter than middle units.
