My husband and i stayed here while we got married in Salem Mass with his parents and siblings and my sister and it was all we could imagine and more. Waking up every morning to that view was like a movie and i never wanted to leave. It was more than we could ask for!
From the outside this home is amazing. The property was gorgeous. However, I would NOT stay here again. There are several reasons but 3 main ones. 1. This home has no air conditioner. We were there in September and the third story was well above 80 degrees at all times, even at night. Those of us sleeping on the third floor were miserable. Open the windows you say? Thought about that. Most of them had holes or were broken and let bugs in. 2. There's a huge water issue here. There are signs all over the house telling you to be careful of your water usage and a sign on the refrigerator begging you to not use much water or run the well dry as you will be out of water the rest of your trip. We had to go to Walmart to purchase water to drink and cook with because the water there is so metallic tasting and salty. You can forget feeling clean when you come out of a shower. 3. The house is so loud. If someone opens the door on the third story those in the basement can hear it. If you're Whispering on any floor you can hear it on every other floor. If one person woke up early in the morning the entire house was up no matter which floor or room you were staying in. The floors and stairs creak terribly. They also have an alarm system that alerts you anytime a door is open. So if someone woke up early and wanted to go watch the sunrise it would wake everyone else in the house up with the alarm beeping. If you're okay with all of that, go ahead and book this house and enjoy the views!

Good Morning - if there were issues with screens we would have happily repaired them. Screens are looked at each time so I'm surprised to hear there were issues.
In addition, if the filter system wasn't working we would have had the plumber come out immediately. I will have that tended to today. The alarm doesn't need to chime every time. If there is a power outage we would have reset it if you had let us know. We are not always aware when there is a power outage. It is a simple fix to do over the phone with you. Lastly, there is bottled water supplied. There is a water cooler there with several full water bottles so you did not need to buy your own bottled water.
This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed in my life. I kept pinching myself to make sure it was real. The location feels remote and isolated, even though it is only 8 miles from town. The last stretch of dirt road is quite adventurous ( We broke out in the Indiana Jones theme song every time we had to drive over the bumps) - but don't worry, the road is totally worth it! The house is amazing. Lots of levels, plenty of room, good sized bedrooms, great views. The well appointed kitchen had everything we needed. The one odd thing was the tap water. It was very salty, so if you are stopping in town for groceries, pick up one of the 5 gallon jugs for the water dispenser. This is the kind of place that once you get to, you don't want to leave. So my advice would be to buy groceries for a week and then just hunker down and enjoy the absolute soul-healing beauty of this place.
Beautiful house and location! Everything our group hoped for, easy access for great kayaking/canoeing and very comfortable. nearby Brunswick had everything we needed when we left the house, which was wasn't often. And Your Island Connection (property manager) was great - when the coffee maker malfunctioned, they dropped off a new one the next morning. Great spot!
Lovely house & property...Everything was so clean , cabinets were stocked for anything you would need. Comfortable beds. So much room for everyone & love the area around the property to walk around..I would give it 5 Stars & would recommend...Thank You..Peggy
Well appointed and well maintained house with all the creature comforts of home. House tucked away in idyllic cove with beautiful views of the water. Harpswell is a quiet lobster fishing community but close enough to town of Brunswick for shopping and restaurants. House does not have AC but we didn't need it in September and there were several fans throughout the home. Home was comfortable and roomy enough for the 9 of us but can easily accommodate more. Wifi worked great so you can stay in touch. Need to mention that house supplied with well water so its salty. However, there is a water cooler in the laundry room for cooking and drinking. Really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing place to chill.
Complicated by Covid...but an awesome week of weather...very well appointed... spacious, wonderful little trails and dock.. quiet with wonderful decks all around and gorgeous water views.
