Contemporary Casita

Unique, guest casita with an "ocean window view" located on a private 4.2 acre estate. Situated at the end of a private road. Once on the property you are immersed in the sights and sounds of nature. This modern, guest house along with the Main House just above, was designed by Los Angeles architect, James Meraz. The structure is light and airy, offering breathtaking views of the jungle covered mountains to the north as well as an ocean window that looks to the Pacific. The outdoor covered balcony serves as the perfect place for morning yoga, alfresco dining, or just an all around 'chill' space. The only sounds being that of birds and insects. The casita is made up of an open concept living space that includes a brand new , fully equipped kitchen, a separate bedroom, and a bathroom that features a super cool, outdoor rainshower area. There is even a new Infinity edge Plunge Pool that guests can enjoy! What are you waiting for?

We purchased the property in 2010 with the intention of building a vacation home for our family. Today, we welcome guests at Malachite Retreat, a private getaway that offers a peaceful respite from the daily grind. If you are a larger group, we also offer Morpho Eco Retreat, a 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom main house located within the same 4.2 acre estate.

Peace and tranquility while only being a 5 minute drive from the laid back town of Uvita. Conveniently located to many amenities.

What makes this property unique

We love the town and people of Uvita. The gorgeous, jungle covered mountains that flow down to the sea reminded us of the Ligurian Riviera in Italy as well as a lusher version of Malibu, California. World class surfing, tons of activities, restaurants, etc.... Pura Vida
