Light, Airy And Fabulous

This is a special place and it’s 3 minutes to Lake Garfield and 12 minutes to Butternut Ski Area! It's a very pretty and comfortable home. High vaulted ceilings with 3 Bedrooms and lots of windows so trees and green are seen from every angle. Peaceful and serene, it will make you happy.

Large master bedroom on main floor with large 2-part private bath with stand-up shower and Jacuzzi tub. 2 upstairs bedrooms (one with queen bed other with daybed - 2 twins). All rooms are nice size with space to move around. Two full baths and an extra half-bathroom - right off the kitchen. Great room with a working cast iron stove and Mitchell gold sectional sofa that looks out on the meadow. The kitchen is well stocked with fiesta ware and large pots and serving dishes. Located on a quiet country road with two porches overlooking garden and meadow. The house has deeded rights to the lakefront including a private dock, swimming dock and kayaks. The popular Monterey Beach is 1 mile down the road. 10 minutes to the Lee outlets, 12 minutes into Great Barrington and 25 minutes to Tanglewood and Lenox and Jacobs Pillow. Very clean, neat and organized. Every thing is easy at Hopping Hupi.

Great escape to the Berkshires

Very nice stay house has wonderful quirky spaces and was perfect for two couples. We had crazy weather from cold to hot and dry and wet and the house was super through it all

Rustic Retreat

Ilene’s place was very cozy, and set in beautiful surroundings. Her style and touches were cool and unique, which weren’t as visible in the property photos. Her home manual was very helpful, and she communicated with us to help resolve some issues regarding the water temperature, and answered all our questions about how to store and launch our kayaks (which is a walk down a path or a short drive to the beach). A nice remote retreat in the Berkshires!

Cozy Family Cabin

We came to ski at skibutternut and stayed here. It was a wonderful place to unwind and super cozy with lots of blankets and places to curl up and read a book. My kids were in heaven because there was space to play, watch TV and play hide and seek. Its pretty spacious and really just lovely. We’re hoping to return in the summer to check out the lake nearby

House in the forest

House located in the mountains/forest near a lake. Really quiet and rustic setting. House was well-stocked with dish ware, utensils, and all kinds of cooking spices, pots and pans. ,

We love this house

This is the second summer we've stayed in Ilene's wonderful home, and we're hoping to return for more. The house is light, attractive, sparkling clean and very comfortable. Loads of stuff for our use in the kitchen and for the outdoors. Very quiet, secluded spot with big open deck and screened-in porch. We love swimming and kayaking in beautiful Lake Garfield, playing tennis, and taking long walks in surrounding wooded area. In the evenings, there's music, theater and great restaurants in neighboring towns. Thanks, Ilene, for sharing your beautiful house with us!!

Cozy and Warm Home

We enjoyed staying here. It has a very open feel. Pictures are a good representation. It was well stocked with everything we needed. The electric stove created a nice cozy ambience and was a good place to dry gloves. We enjoyed playing games around the coffee table and watching TV in the evening after a long day of skiing. We were too tired to try out the jacuzzi tub but it was large and could definitely fit two people. It was about 10-15 min from restaurants but a cute general store was only a few minutes away. The only negative is that the washer/dryer is in an unheated basement. We would definitely stay here again.
