We loved our stay in Menton! The old town is so charming. The property is exactly as described. Key amenities for us were the washing machine & drying rack, beach umbrella and chairs and the beach/grocery cart. Communication with the owner and local host was excellent!!!Make plans to eat at both neighboring restaurants- delicious! We did a lot of walking/climbing stairs so be prepared. We also spent a lot of time enjoying the beach. Train station is a 20 minute walk to visit neighboring cities on the coast. It’s a great location to explore the coast and enjoy the sea.

Great stay

we had four lovely weeks and hope to return one day. The apartment was in great condition and the owner as well as manager were friendly and helpful , we couldn't have asked for more. We warmly recommend this place!

Nice appartment in the center of the old Menton. It is important to know that you need to be good in walking stairs!The only downside is the upper sleeping room does not have a door but only a curtain.We plan to come back at some point.

My wife and I spent 10 days in Menton. This was the perfect place. Blend of beach and town life.

We felt at home immediately. The apartment had everything we needed for our beach adventure. We did not bring checked bags and only brought clothes in our back packs. This apartment was equipped with everything anyone would need. It had a wheeled cart/bag for trips to the beach and the market/grocery store. It included beach chairs, mats and beach umbrellas. (perfect) It was walking distance from the market and grocery store and several dining options. We were able to prepare meals from the kitchen and saved money that way. The kitchen was well equipped for anything we wanted to prepare. (including coffee maker, tea pot and toaster) We even made ice (a luxury in France) with the several trays in the freezer. Pierre and Evette (two neighborhood doves) would come to the kitchen window to say hi. The sea breeze kept the place cool, even when France was gripped with a heat wave. We kept the windows open 100% of the time and not a single bug was seen. We did a load of laundry and were able to hang-dry our clothes over night. The apartment had a television and WiFi. (We needed the wifi to stay connected to our kids back home.) The wifi worked flawlessly. Trips to the train stations had to be planned out because it was a bit of a walk. The apartment is on the top floor so you must be prepared to take MANY stairs. (64 steps to the road and another 40 or so to the beach) Everywhere in Menton involved climbing hills and stairs. The city is a busy place so expect the energy and sounds of a city. You can hear an accordion from a café below on some evenings which creates the perfect French vibe. Menton always had things going on so we were never at a lack of things to do. (music festival and a horse show while we were there) I only had 2 questions for the ten days and the renter got back to me fairly quickly. We took short train rides to Italy and Monaco to see their sites. We visited gardens and Roman ruins and hiked mountainside trails. Every place had stunning vistas that were worth the sweat we put in. With walking and French food, we think we lost weight.

L'appartamento l'ho trovato pulito e ordinato con la presenza di parecchi elettrodomestici, peccato che mancava la televisione. Parcheggiare non è stato affatto facile e inoltre era a pagamento. Le scale erano impegnative.

Super Lage.Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, in der Küche ist alles nötige vorhanden. Im Kühlschrank stand sogar kaltes Wasser und über die Eiswürfel im Gefrierfach haben wir uns auch gefreut. Nach sovielen Treppen war es sehr erfrischend.Check- in und Check out verlief reibungslos. Beim Check in hat uns eine nette Dame bis in die Wohnung begleitet und uns über das Parksystem aufgeklärt. Bei Fragen kamen sofort Antworten Alles war sehr gut. Wir werden uns die Unterkunft vormerken und weiter empfehlen.

Menton centraal gelegen

In de beschrijving staan heel veel dingen die er gewoon niet zijn, huis is vies, en gedateerd. Bij aankomst zat er natte was in de wasmachine. Kom niet met je hond want die kan niet naar het strand, in de beschrijving staat hondenstrand, dat houd in: enorme rotsblokken, je kan daar niet heen met je hond, laat staan dat je samen met je hond kan gaan liggen op het strand.

Alles bestens!

-Lage direkt am schönen feinkörnigen Strand mit Duschen, Spielplatz und vielen Restaurants. -Durch die vielen kleinen Gassen bis zum Berg nach oben, ist es sehr interessant Menton zu entdecken. -Die Wohnung war modern eingerichtet und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Der Blick auf die Stadt und den Strand war einmalig. Man muss zwar bis ganz nach oben laufen, aber selbst den Kindern hat es nicht gestört. -Viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vor Ort sowie schöne Einkaufsmeile vorhanden. -Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt

Die Lage der Ferienwohnung in dem historischen Gebäude und er alten Gasse mit dem kurzen Weg zum Strand ist wunderbar. Für uns war alles da, was wir brauchten. Merci Delphine e Alain!

très jolie appartement

Très mignon appartement. Pas besoin de prendre sa voiture tout est sur place avec le charme de la vieille ville de menton. Accueil téléphonique par le propriétaire très agréable. Sur place Madame Amato qui s'occupe de l'appartement est elle aussi très accueillante et nous donne des bons conseils pour passer un bon séjour. Je recommande cet appartement pour les personnes qui aime visiter et faire de la marche.

Okay value, great location, needs a deep cleaning.

First off, the good - the location was fabulous. Indeed very close to a very nice public beach and in the old heart of Menton, steps away from Saint-Michel Basilica. Owner seems nice enough, and it was easy to get into the apartment. And, the apartment was larger than expected. And things generally worked. Lots of stairs, but that was accurately described and was not a problem for us. Having said that...this apartment is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. Walls, light switches, many corners of the apartment were dirty. Black tile grout, spots of possible mold on the ceiling of the downstairs bathroom. We felt compelled to buy come bleach cleaning wipes during our stay. Also, there is a smell coming out of the dishwasher that was extremely foul, and made my fiancee sick the first time we opened it. I'm sure it's some kind of plumbing issue. Shutters are in need of some repair also, only one set of shutters opened, closed, and locked properly. A deep cleaning, and maybe a fresh coat of paint would have improved my rating dramatically. Having said that, if you value location above all else, than this would be a good rental.

Appartamento in posizione strategica ma sporco

Abbiamo passato 3 notti in questo appartamento (2 coppie). L'unica nota positiva è stata la posizione, nella parte storica della città, centrale e vicina alla spiaggia. Peccato perchè sarebbe stato tutto perfetto se fosse stato pulito. Letti scomodissimi.
