Beautiful Lake Lure Re-Opens for Summer - Enjoy from our Waterfront Home!

Back and better than ever! After a long recovery from Hurricane Helene, Lake Lure is going to be completely restored by May 2026. From our waterfront home, enjoy stunning views of the mountains as well as quiet cove swimming.

Fabulous vacation home, recently remodeled, and wonderfully livable! Stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains await you from the spacious deck that sits atop our boathouse! Plenty of room for sunning, lounging, and diving from the top into the cool mountain lake water. We are located in the best cove on Lake Lure for swimming and accessing the lake is easy. A paddle board, kayaks, paddles, and floats are provided for your use.
Our house has been completely remodeled and expanded! Central heat and air make it comfortable year round. The kitchen includes granite counter tops, a large island, and all new appliances. The kitchen is open to the living room, which includes a wet bar with beverage refrigerator, a large stone fireplace, and a 43 inch TV with Direct TV access. Both the living area and dining area are surrounded by windows, allowing enjoyment of the view even from the inside!
The dining area provides a table for 10, and opens onto an upstairs deck that provides space to chat, play cards, or enjoy the view. The entire upstairs (main level) offers antique heart pine floors. Easy-to-navigate interior staircase takes you downstairs. Both levels are centrally heated and cooled.
Sleeping accommodations are as follows, with each bedroom having its own private, spacious bathroom.

Upstairs (main level) - 1 bedroom with queen bed and full bath and second bedroom with two twin beds and full bath.

Downstairs -
Two very spacious bedrooms, each one of which contains a queen bed and a twin bed. Each bedroom has its own very spacious bathroom. There is additional sleeping space suitable for children provided by the use of two "floor mattresses" suitable for a sleeping bag.
There is a clothes washer and dryer in the downstairs, and linens and towels are provided.
A deposit of half is required to guarantee rental. There is a cleaning charge of $275 and a 6% tax is required. There is also a $300.00 refundable damage deposit required, and we do not allow pets. We are sorry that we cannot make any exceptions to the NO PETS rule.

Relaxing stay at lake lure

The property was perfect for our family vacation of 8 people. The views from the home of the lake are so serene. The kitchen was well equipped for doing large meals. Overall, this is a fantastic home to rent. Looking to come back!

Great family vacation!!

All ages of our family enjoyed the peaceful and quiet location. Kids loved the kayaks, canoe and paddle boarding. Not even cold temperatures could stop them. We loved the wood burning fireplace and the boat house deck. We had great contact with the host and they responded immediately to all our requests. We definitely will visit again!!

Once you rent this property, you will rent it again

Let me make a prophecy- if you rent this property once, you will rent it again...the property, location, views of the mountain across the lake from the indoor and outdoor decks are splendid. We were six adults, one teen and three kids....enough space for everyone to sleep, four full bathrooms, adequately furnished living room with beautiful fireplace.

Best view on the lake

This is our second time renting this house. We love the location and the view. The cove is fairly quiet with Mountain View’s everywhere you look. The home has ample space, a wonderful porch, great kitchen and ample bathrooms. The deck and dock offer everything from a variety of seating options to floats, kayaks, etc. We will be returning for more lake time soon!

Family Vacation

We had a great time. The house was well stocked, quiet and large enough for all nine of us. The owner had plenty of amenities to enjoy the lake. I would recommend water shoes to prevent splinters from the wooden deck. We rented a pontoon from Lake Lure Boat Rentals which was a highlight of the trip. Overall, the location was beautiful and we would recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful

The house has everything we needed for an enjoyable week. It is very clean and enough furniture for everyone. The boathouse and deck are the highlight. We spent lots of time there. We also spent a lot of time on the back porch overlooking the lake. The owner is very responsive. I would highly recommend this place. 😀

Thanksgiving stay

My family and another family recently stayed here over Thanksgiving. It is a beautiful house (very clean) in a beautiful location on the the lake. We were a group of 10 and the house met our needs perfectly. The house is outfitted with everything we needed (games, dishes, laundry detergent etc.). The drive to Asheville is an hour simply due to the winding mountain roads but it is a beautiful drive. Chimney Rock is close and we spent a day there hiking and shopping in town. I would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful house.

Fantastic Family Vacation

Beautiful, clean home with numerous decks and fantastic views! Well-stocked kitchen with huge island for meal prep. Hot water in showers, 2-zone central a/c. Easy access to all decks and lake with no steep climb. Cell service is not great, but that's the area, not the home. Plenty of room for 6 adults to gather in the common areas and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms so each couple had private space. We have been vacationing at different lakes every summer, and this property was our best yet. We enjoyed every minute we spent there!

Fantastic Family Week at Lake Lure

This home is simply wonderful. Location is ideal in a quiet wide cove with stunning views of the mountains. Private home surrounded by trees and beautiful landscaping. Home is updated with tons of windows and natural light. Comfortable beds and fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed almost every meal out on the dock deck. Kids had hours of fun jumping off dock into lake. Bill, the owner, was accessible and super helpful/friendly. Loved this week at his lake house!!! Will be back again.

Beautiful home, beautiful spot on the lake

This is a terrific find for many reasons. Each bedroom has its own bathroom (shower or bathtub), and the living room/ kitchen/dining area has a great view of the lake and a mountain. The kitchen is well-stocked and there is even an extra half-size fridge in the wet bar. My family members- adults and teens- had fun jumping off the boathouse deck into the water, and we enjoyed the floats too. We saw a turtle, a big lizard, deer, and a great blue heron during our stay. We hiked at Chimney Rock State Park, about a 30 min. drive and expensive but a great view on top of Chimney Rock and a pretty waterfall you can hike to. The owner is friendly and got back to us quickly when we had questions.

Great Lake House

The home was perfect for us. We had seven in our party, 5 adults and 2 children. Our son and daughter-in-law, our two grandchildren, our adult daughter and my husband and I each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The en suite bathrooms were a big plus. The kitchen was well equipped and the home was lovely. The boathouse with all of the floats, kayaks and paddle boards were a great bonus, everyone enjoyed the toys. The guys got a game of golf in one day while the rest of us drove to Ashville for the day. We also rented a boat one afternoon from a nearby marina and had a wonderful time on the lake. I would recommend this home to anyone wanting a vacation home on the lake with mountain views.

Wonderful fall weekend with family

The house and setting were just as described. Our family of 8 adults and one 18-month-old enjoyed gathering in the living room, on the boathouse deck for sunset, and at the diningroom table for meals and games. We rented a pontoon boat for a Saturday ride and picnic on the water, as the Brumbachs had left the telephone number for the companies that rent boats. We cooked all our meals and found all the equipment we needed, as if it were our own house. One couple used the canoe. Several of us jumped off the deck into the cold moutain lake. We even managed to play Pickleball on an abbreviated court on the road in front of the house. I can imagine how much fun it would be to rent the house in the summer and be on the water more. Thank you to the Brumbachs for such a great getaway house.

Perfect Lake Cove Home

We rented the last week of June and it was perfect for four families ... 4 bedrooms and 4 baths (two have bathtubs). The kitchen was very well stocked. Drip coffee maker had about 1,000 filters. :-) There were sooo many lake toys supplied ... kayaks, canoe, floats, vests, baby raft, and baby wading pool. Something for everyone. The views were amazing and there were some lovely sunsets. The boathouse was great for sunbathing, eating, and safe for a two-year old to play in their wading pool with solid fencing around. Of course the adults loved jumping into the lake from the roof. The water temp was perfect this time of year, too. The Lake Lure Adventure Co. will come right to your dock to take you out skiing, tubing or wakeboarding. I got so many compliments from our group for finding the perfect house. The hosts were easy to communicate with, too. Highly recommend this beautiful, clean lakefront house.

What a great home and view

I signed up a small group of guys with ages ranging from 37 to 72 for a long weekend. The home was immaculate and recently renovated with 3 large bedrooms and a smaller bedroom with twin beds and 4 bathrooms. The living area was large and furnished for comfort so there was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The main views from the living area, the dining room and the deck overlooking the lake and mountains were incredible. The views are enhanced since the main floor is actually a second floor level, high above the lake. Still there's easy access to the lake and the boathouse which has a top deck with a fabulous view. Several guys swam in the lake and we also boated to 3 restaurants. We golfed at 3 different courses all within a short driving distance. Although the weather was nice, we also had a fire in the living room since this was in late March. All in all, we had a great time and we plan to come back again and I would recommend this home in almost any season.

What makes this property unique

Our cove is quiet and spacious, without the crowding issues that some coves at Lake Lure have. This makes it ideal for swimming. We have a magnificent view of Bald Mountain and the lake. Our location is 3 miles from a very fine Ingles grocery store and 8 miles from the town of Chimney Rock.
