We rented this place specifically for the pier and it did not disappoint! The view was amazing and there was plenty of room for our crew! Would stay again in a heartbeat.
SUPER NICE! Less of a camp and more of a nice home. Two of the bedrooms have "on suite bathrooms" which our group really loved! Some in our group spent the entire time on the pier fishing and enjoying the dolphins. We also rented a side by side which made the beach trips super easy. This Host was very responsive. You will not go wrong renting this place. I have been coming to GI for 40 years and this was one of the best camps and experiences!
Beach within walking distance. Fishing and crabbing pier right off the house. We also saw dolphins right there at the house! We caught at least 9 catfish the first night. Beautiful views of the sunset. We rode out boat in the pier area and around the marina. The Marina was very close to the house. Grocery stores were within 5 minutes. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. We stayed for 3 nights. We ended up buying clothes detergent, trash bags, hand soap, and body soap. The house had everything else including plenty of seasonings and spices, pots and pans, blenders, etc. Definitely a fisherman's paradise! My husband, his brother and his wife, my 3 sons, and myself had a blast! Fishing from the Marina pier in our boat yielded catfish, Sheepheads, and a stingray!
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Grand Smile on the Grand Isle. The views from the large porch were fantastic and the beach was just a quick walk away.
Property was great. All amenities needed were there. It could use a little exterior TLC as far as hand railings on stairs and railing around porch. It seemed a little unstable but all in all, I would definitely recommend.
Overall I was pleased with the property. The house was very clean. I wish the steps to the pier had rails. It would be nice if debris was removed from property around the house.
This is the third time we stay at Grand Smile and had at a wonderful time . The new pier with lights was a great bonus to our stay.

The property was beautiful. We loved everything about the place the pier was nice. The house was beautiful had everything we needed for the week. It was a piece of heaven. Thanks
this was our 8th year of fishing in the gulf and the 2nd time we stayed at Don's. we will stay here from now on as long as it's available for our dates.
Wonderful experience for kids and adults. Dolphins swam by every day and had close encounters woth them in the ocean. Jelly fish, hermit crab hunting, fresh sea food near by. Only down side was the mosquitoes were pretty bad
We had a great trip and enjoyed our stay at the camp, fishing wasn't great due to weather conditions but we made the best of it. Caught about six dozen crabs off the 400' fishing pier with out crab traps, caught a few fish at night with the lights. Overall it was a great trip and look forward to doing it again...
The cabin had a long pier with lights, great location, and all the needs to cater for some fishing. Crabbing was also great on the pier. We knew some spots in Grand Isle for big fish, but this location could have sufficed on its own for younger kids looking to crab and fish.
My husband grew up in Grand Isle, La. We visit as often as we can and we absolutely love it.
Why they chose this property
Our camp/home has all new amenities and is newly built. The 400' fishing pier is an awesome addition, as one can visit without having to have a boat. Fishing and crabbing off the pier is a bonus.
What makes this property unique
RV hookup, 400' pier for crabbing or fishing, etc.
