3 bedrooms, 1 bath, King in the master bedroom, Queen in 2nd and 2 twins in 3rd. in addition there are 2 Futons and a cot. Mr. Ed's is centrally located in Westport Washington close to the beach and the docks. There is a large yard including a fenced in front yard to keep your canine companions safe. Ed's has plenty of parking including space for your boat. Ed's is the perfect place for families as well with lots of toys, books and games for the kids.

Fun location and amenities!

We had a great time at Ed’s! It was super comfortable, the fire pit was awesome, we used the bikes to ride into town on the path along the dunes and the host was awesome about communicating. Can’t wait to go back! The beds were comfortable too!

Good place for us to stay. Close to what we are doing. Some of the dishes in the cupboards were not clean, so I gave it a little elbow grease and cleaned them.

Great place to stay

This home is a very comfortable place to stay with family especially when your family includes dogs! Both very kid friendly and dog friendly. Everything is provided for an easy stay. Great communication with the host. Reminds me of my grandparents cottage. Really enjoyed reading about Ed's story. How wonderful his legacy lives on!

Great little house

The house was great the bedrooms were quite large and had all types of room,the kitchen was well stocked with all of the things you could need, the outside fire pit was very nice to able to sit outside and enjoy a fire after a day of fishing would stay here again in a heart beat house is old but nice

Home Away From Home

This older home has plenty of space for a reasonable price. It’s very private and cozy, with lots of outdoor space also. Understand that it is an old building, with old wood. All my guests enjoyed the charm of the creaky wooden stairs. We absolutely loved it! Short walking distance to the grocery store, coffee shop, several restaurants, and a bar. And yet, it has so much privacy that you don’t realize it until you wander out of the yard. I felt very much at home there in my big, comfortable king size bed.

It's like staying at your grandparents house

The house had so much character and room. The granddaughters loved the upstairs room. I was really happy that there was a small bathroom upstairs - so nice that we didn't have to share a single bathroom. The fenced yard was great for our dog too.

Felt like a weekend at Grandpas

Location of house was excellent, quite and at the end of a dead end road, close to town. Not fancy but simplistic and had almost everything you needed. Only thing missing is a table out side for cleaning crab and clams, so bring a folding one if you plan on doing those activities.

Mr Ed's was exactly what we expected.

We really felt Loved, like we were part of the family. Arrival was easy and convenient, which we needed because we arrived after 10pm. This is a great home to stay a couple nights or a whole week if you wanted. There is only one bathroom, which could be a challenge if you were to actually fill the house with a large group. We only had 3 people so it was no problem at all.

Shabby but functional

Pros: Beautiful beach! Paved bike trail through the dunes. There were bikes at the house that you could use. The house is at the end of a quiet street. Comfy beds. Cons: The house is old and shabby, which we expected from the pictures. What we didn't expect was that it hadn't been aired out for us before arrival. It had been closed for several days and smelled awful. Once we aired it out for a few hours, it was fine.

Would not recommend.

I don't like giving terrible reviews, but I am glad that we came out to Westport to go fishing so we weren't in the house too much. House has a very strong cat urine smell . We ended up going to Walmart to buy a TV to use because the large TV makes a terrible humming sound. I probably should give it a 1 star but the roof worked and it was close to town, which was nice.

Don't set your expectations too high it's very dog centric

I will agree with most other reviews the home is catered to families with kids and dogs. Pros: the small front yard by the hot tub is fully fenced, the house had ample room for everyone, comfy futons and chair, plenty of parking. Cons: the beds are horrific in all rooms especially upstairs in the queen bed, (half of our party ended up down on the futons instead) upon arrival there were less than 1/2 rolls of toilet papers in both bathrooms for 5 people and 2 nights, the master bedroom downstairs had a massive ant problem my parents woke up to ants all over their night stand and clothes/shoes! The area where the fireplace is and picnic tables is right in view of the neighbors sliding glass door which has a dog barking inside so we felt very uncomfortable hanging out in that area (would highly suggest putting up some privacy covering on that part of the fence so guests can enjoy that area better) Overall it's a cool older house and a place to be after hanging at the beaches I would stay here again though for the convenience of the fenced in yard as traveling with my dogs is not easy in smaller places or motel rooms. Thanks again for sharing for home with us

We love this place

This is our second stay. The first time it was just me and the husband. This time I brought my sister, brother, child and the dogs. Everyone for without being on top of each other. The kitchen has everything you need. We struck out crabbing but still had a great time. As always, the hot tub was the star of the show. We will be back again

Hosted by Rene Tobin

Edwin Brown bought the home with his wife Della and raised their girls Pam and Edwina there in Westport. Ed was a commercial fisherman, a golfer and a fixture of the community. He was even Mayor for a time. Ed passed away in his 90's in 2012, His daughters wanted the house to stay in the family so gifted it to Ed's Great Nephew Shawn Tobin and family. The Tobin's are a busy family who sympathize with how hard it is to find a great place with space and amenities for the kids and pets.

Why they chose this property

Shawn grew up in Westport and Ed was Westport. Ed's is close to the docks and the beach.

1500 square feet fully stocked home with a large yard. Ed's is very pet friendly with a fenced dog yard, pet beds and dishes. Ed's is perfect for a family get together with comfy beds and the basics covered, full kitchen, bath, washer dryer, and also lots of extras to make your vacation simple, toys, sand toys, books, smart TVs with Roku and lots of games too. Last but not least, a private 2-3 person hot tub just outside the door.
