Alex was an amazing host- the house has everything you need for a memorable vacation. Great dining space, plenty of outside space and great proximity to the small beach to launch kayaks from!
This is a really spacious home in a beautiful area of Chatham. The private beach, kayaks, and bicycles were an added bonus. Lots to do in this house and we enjoyed our stay.
The house layout was perfect for our large family and it was in an amazing location. The short walk to the water was ideal. The host was very responsive. Overall, was a great trip and we can’t wait to return.
The home was large and inviting for our Family of 9. It had all the necessities of home and the owner provided a very handy manual to answer and questions we may have. It was spacious and comfortable. The location was great and the private beach access was a bonus! Loved our stay and hope to come back!
We had a nice family reunion with small children and grandparents. The house has a lot of space, upstairs is nice and open. Perfect for dogs. Lovely screened in porch for night reading. Private, neighborhood beach is perfect for little ones and exploring sea creatures. Short trip to town by car or bike.
Great communications with the host. Wonderful property that is well provided with kitchen equipment, toys, games, bikes and kayaks. Lots of space, and everything works well for a group of 10. How wonderful just to stroll to the beach from the house. Plenty of space for three families to come together - a perfect holiday. Heads up about linen hire in advance of getting the house handbook would be welcome for international travellers who have to hire. Would love to return soon

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
The location is perfect. The local beach is perfect, too. The house itself is very spacious but in need of maintenance. Families looking to book this property need to know that they will have to empty dehumidifiers everyday in order to help control camel crickets that live downstairs in kids room and bathrooms. Living areas are large and kitchen is well stocked. The provided bikes are great, but some haveflat tires, rusted chains, non functional brakes. We had issues with plumbing, cleaning, and insects. The host was very responsive about all of these. The downside was that we needed to be the local point of contact and schedule all of these services, as well as ensure our schedules aligned with the different workers.
My family has been going to the Cape for decades, and Alex’s property provided us with one of the nicest experiences. Six adults and four children 3 and under loved the short ride to Oyster Pond in the morning followed by a five minute walk to an idyllic association beach in the afternoon. It’s a lovely, upscale neighborhood and Alex, who was quite easy to work with, accurately describes the property in the listing. Not more than a few minute ride to nice restaurants and the sites for the little ones. Thank you Alex for a most memorable week.
Our extended family had a wonderful vacation at this home, which was spacious, comfortable and lovely overall! We enjoyed exploring Chatham, but the home was also centrally located to several other Cape Cod towns so we had a wonderful time visiting beaches and other activities in Dennis, Orleans, Brewster & Harwichport. We accommodated 6 adults, a teenager and children aged 3, 4, 5 & 6 and everyone had a blast!! What a special trip, memories for a lifetime were made here!
We had the most wonderful week at Alex's home in Chatham. The neighborhood is wonderful - roads are very quiet and drivers were considerate when we had a mixed age (and ability) crew out on bikes, walking, or scooter-ing on the roads. The private beach was extremely convenient, and we utilized the house's kayaks and bikes a bunch! The kitchen was small compared to the enormous amount of living and sleeping spaces, but we had no problem preparing meals for our extended family - and eating at a kitchen table that seats 12 (!) easily was so fun. Alex is extremely communicative and a wonderful host. I recommend most strongly!
This property is located in a beautiful community with access to a private beach. The home has enough bicycles and kayaks to accommodate many family members. The owner responds quickly to questions and needs. We especially enjoyed the large dining table and the screened porch where all 10 of us could sit and enjoy cocktails, meals and games. We visited several beautiful beaches, went sailing and dined in excellent restaurants. We recommend: The Mad Minnow in Harwich Port, Viera on Main in Chatham and Twenty Eight Atlantic at Wequassett Resort for a special dinner. Visit the Shark Center close by. We had a wonderful two week holiday.
Large, beautiful house with lots of living space and privacy for multigenerational holiday. The home is well maintained, and is equipped with bikes, kayaks, cornhole and lovely indoor amenities. I recommend it without reservation, helpful host too.
Great location and many amenities, including bikes and Kayaks. My family and I had a wonderful time and would absolutely return. One thing to note is that there is one bedroom on the main floor and the rest are downstairs, which is not a bid deal but they are further from the A/C and require negotiating stairs if you are thinking of bringing grandparents.
Great house needs a bit more pre guest cleaning but all the spare inside and out including kayaks and bikes and rooms are perfectionists needs AC in lower level bedroom
We had a wonderful time staying on this property on Widah Road in North Chatham. Alex the owner was very responsive to any and all questions we had about the property and items we were able to use bikes, kayaks, coolers, etc.., We all agreed we would stay again
Widyah Figawi was the perfect place for our group of 10. Expansive house with lots of places to sit and read o mr play games. Very close walk to a nice private beach where the kids can swim and the adults can have a cocktail and look for shells. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and overall a wonderful hike base to explore all that Chatham has to offer. And ALEX the owner is super responsive and friendly. We had a great time. Vielen Dank.
The house worked perfectly for our family and friends because it has the right balance of communal space and private space. It is also in a location that makes it easy to get to wherever we wanted to go.
Alex's house is located on a quiet street in North Chatham, just a few miles from town, with access to an amazing private beach. Alex is a phenomenal and responsive host--certainly the best host I've ever been in contact with and I've been renting houses on Cape Cod for a few years now. The best part about the property is that it is a few hundred yards from a private beach. Alex's house includes kayaks, chairs and all sorts of other beach equipment that you need to enjoy the beach so you don't have to bring any of it with you. The private beach was a wonderful place for the kids to play while we (unfortunately) worked. We cannot wait to return to Cape Cod!
If you’re looking for a Chatham home that is well supplied, well located, and well loved then Whidah Figawi is your place. Alex is a superstar host who anticipates your needs and is graciously responsive. The house comes with bikes, kayaks, beach chairs & games, and easy access to areas where you can use them. We loved big meals together at the long farm table, whether we grilled out on the Weber or enjoyed coffee and pancakes in the morning. An excellent family retreat! Thank you, Alex.

Charming, quaint and quiet home
My husband and I brought our 2 "children" who are in their mid twenties with their significant others on vacation with us. The house had such a nice set up and it was very spacious. The owner, Alex, had a notebook to explain the area, the history and gave some great ideas of what to do while staying in the area. My favorite part of the house was the screened-in porch. After a long day on the beach we would come inside and just sit on the porch. There are lights to plug in and it gave us the feel like we were in the middle of nowhere on an island.
We made use of the lovely dining room table and found ourselves just sitting there and talking. Something we don't get to do much as a family as we are always running in different directions.
I liked the layout of the house with a bedroom and full bath on the top floor and the other bedrooms on the bottom floor. My husband and I are very early risers so it was nice to have a floor to ourselves in the morning and not to disturb the others sleeping.
The home has a cute outdoor shower (no door, but it is quite secluded and walled off that my son had no qualms using it!).
The neighborhood was nice to walk our dogs and my son and I both enjoy running and we took advantage of the quiet/hilly surrounding neighborhoods to do that.
The private beach that we have access to wasn't a terrific swimming spot, but we enjoyed walking down there at the end of the day or early in the morning to put our feet and and let our dogs wade in the calm water. You could easily bring a book and a chair and sit there overlooking Strong Island and watch the boats go by.
We visited several beaches and there was even a shark at Nauset Beach while we were there. We also enjoyed Lighthouse beach and drove up to the Beachcomber to see the beautiful sand dunes and bask in the sun.
My son and husband went out several times for golf and had a great experience. One afternoon we went with friends to the Truro Vineyard. A truly fun experience and beautiful place. We went on Sunday and enjoyed a wine tasting and then sat at the picnic tables and listened to the music playing.
Our favorite vacation event was going on a private cruise on the Blue Claw tours. We were able to bring wine and a light meal and took a tour all the way down to the Chatham harbor and saw at least a hundred seals floating in the water. Just feet from our boat. Absolutely thrilling.
Looking forward to returning to Whydah Figawi.
