A bit of Tuscany

The property is well located to discover many great Tuscan towns: San Gimignano, Volterra, Luca and Siena ; we went by train, only 10 euros return.

Beautiful stay in Tuscany!

Me and my girlfriend had a beautiful stay. The apartment was as descripted. It was very clean and sweet. Even if there is no air conditioning, the apartment had a good temperature the whole time. We had our own area outside and the garden and the pool were very nice as well. The family was very kind and lovely. They picked us up from the train station and brought us back. They even brought us to the bike rental and gave us recommendations. The landscape was really beautiful. We would definitely recommend the apartment! Thank you very much!

Idylic

The property is just outside the little town of Certaldo, in the heart of Tuscany, which has an ancient part called Certaldo Alto, reachable from the town square, via a funicular railway. The apartment was more than adequate for the two of us, not only to use as a base for touring the area, but also to just relax and refresh in. The facilities available outside and in the grounds were amazing. The heat took a bit of getting use to, for people from Scotland. Yet two fans kept us cool enough throughout the night. Only downside was the mosquitoes, by which, we were eaten alive, that caused sleepless nights and we ended up requiring medical attention. Any recommendations: maybe an upgrade of the tap fittings?. Otherwise, lovely flat, in a lovely location, hosted by lovely people. Would we return?. Out with mosquito season, without a doubt, no hesitation. Blessings, Robert & Helen

Maria and Josefa are very nice folks. The grounds are very beautiful and special. The pet tortoises are quite cute. The bed was very comfortable. The towels were abundant and luxurious. The apartment was essentially very clean except for the pans and dishes which were not. We like to cook no matter where we are. Needing to clean greasy kitchenware and glassware is unpleasant. The unit is a basement walkout and does not have a separate thermostat. It got damp and chilly until 6pm when the heat went on for a couple hours and then again in the early morning. The hot water pressure wasn't constant nor was the temp. The toaster didn't toast in 3 cycles. The listed and pictured microwave wasn't there. And not the host's fault but a vicious sounding dog barked nearby for hours daily. And the wifi was finicky, on, gone, on, gone. Was it a fine place to stay? Yes, but. I too am a VRBO host in the States and l strive to avoid these issues from occurring. I know that the host will take steps to correct these inconveniences for future guests.

Emplacement idéal pour visiter la Toscane, au calme dans un environnement verdoyant, mais proche d'une grande ville. Hôtes très sympathiques, vous pourrez bénéficier des bons conseils de Joseph qui parle impeccablement le français.Un plus : la piscine, réservée aux locataires, permet de se rafraîchir quand on le souhaite.Seul bémol, les moustiques qui empêchent de rester longtemps dehors.

Das Appartement war sehr schön und auch gut ausgestattet. Der Garten war gepflegt und der Pool war auch super schön. Ein Auto ist empfehlenswert, da der Bahnhof von Certaldo etwas weit weg ist, aber von dort kommt man dann gut nach Florenz oder Pisa. Sehr angenehme Gastgeber.

Gemütlich eingerichtetes Apartment

Wir waren 4 Nächte im Apartment und nutzen es als Basis zur Erkundung der näheren Umgebung. Die Gastgeber waren sehr liebenswert, wir konnten den hauseigenen Garten mit Pavillion und Außenpool nutzen. Der Parkplatz mit elektrischem Tor war sehr gut. Besonders gefallen hat uns das Ausklingen des Tages im Pavillion.

Excellent accueil,hôte parfait,disponible et parle français.

Le gîte est parfaitement situé pour découvrir la Toscane à 2 pas de la gare de Certaldo facilitant les déplacements à Sienne,Florence,Pise Lucas,… Joseph et Louisa sont des hôtes à la fois disponibles et discrets. Ce gîte a été pour nous un petit coin de paradis.

Toller erholsamer Urlaub

Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich, nett und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns sehr Wohlgefühlt. Das Appartement liegt im unterem Erdgeschoss mit schöner Terrasse die im Schatten liegt. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet und sauber. Das Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt und in einer ruhigen Lage. Am Pool ist eine große Terrasse die zum verweilen einlädt. Die Ferienwohnung hat eine gute Lage für die Erkundung der Toskana. Lucca, Siena, Volterra, Pisa, Florenz Der Bahnhof ist mit dem Auto nur wenige Minuten entfernt. Man kann mit dem Zug all diese Städte erreichen. Certaldo ist ein schönes kleines Städtchen mit einer Burg. Supermärkte sind ganz in der Nähe. Toller erholsamer Urlaub

Appartamento incantevole in mezzo alle colline toscane in una posizione geografica ottima per visitare in particolare Siena, San Gimignano e Volterra. Appena arrivati nel pomeriggio abbiamo visitato il borgo di Certaldo alta, una piccola perla con ottimi ristoranti. La proprietaria, Maria Luisa che abita nello stesso fabbricato, ci ha accolto con gentilezza, disponibilità e un sorriso che ci ha fatti sentire subito a casa. L'appartamento è composto da un corridoio d'ingresso, una camera con letto matrimoniale, un enorme bagno e una piccola cucina completa di tutto il necessario per prepararsi la colazione o cucinare un pasto se non si vuole andare al ristorante. L'appartamento è incantevole, molto pulito e curato nei dettagli con pizzi e merletti ovunque che assieme agli arredi d'epoca creano un atmosfera magica. All'esterno dell'appartamento c'è un tavolino per stare all'aperto il tutto nella più completa privacy e tranquillità. La proprietaria ci ha consegnato il telecomando del cancello d'ingresso e le chiavi dell'alloggio in modo che potessimo essere indipendenti e parcheggiare l'auto all'interno della proprietà in completa sicurezza. C'è anche una piccola piscina esterna che per non abbiamo utilizzato considerata la stagione autunnale. Consigliatissimo a tutti i viaggiatori che vogliono scoprire anche la Toscana dei piccoli borghi sia per la posizione geografica che per la bellezza del posto e la meravigliosa ospitalità della padrona di casa,
