We had a wonderful stay at this holiday home in Crouttes. The house was fantastic, with a great swimming pool and plenty of activities to enjoy, including a tennis court, table tennis, boule and darts.We especially loved the peaceful location, the beautiful views and the lovely garden, which made the whole stay very relaxing.Communication with the host was excellent and very pleasant throughout, and the check-in process was completely smooth and straightforward.Overall, a truly enjoyable and successful stay. We would definitely recommend this place!

Great family centered house & grounds

We had 3 generations to celebrate a birthday! The pool & outdoor kitchen/eating area was perfect for summer meals. We even hired a private chef for the big meal! Great location to see much of the Normand countryside.

All great on check in & departure,A large family home,A nice separate annex,Great size pool.Jewel in the crown was the outdoor family kitchen,we used it every night.Xavier & Sarah were at hand to answer any questions.The only thing we missed was a bbq.

The only issues was no high chair, and washing machine not readily available ( resolved on day 3)

The property delivered what was required, peaceful and quiet, and having an assistant dog it was good that no restrictions were in place. We would return for a further stay if the occasion required.

Good experience with John. Sorry for the washing machine but the outdoor one was out if order. Apologies too for the missing high chair. I recommend John and his family and will welcome them again.

A fantastic house

The house is decorated very old , rustic and quirky. A little grubby, probably needed a good thoriugh cleaning. Apart from that, the outdoors kitchen is a beautiful place to have your meals, fully equipped with everything. The pool is large and clean and lovely. The tennis court fantastic. The garden is peaceful and wonderfully tranquil. Would highly recommend , just a little rough at the edges. bi

Lovely family home, with fantastic pool, tennis court and outdoor kitchen/dining area. We loved it!

We had a fantastic week in May/June, to celebrate a golden wedding anniversary. We were 8 adults and 7 kids, and the house was a perfect fit. The pool and tennis court were great, and the outdoor kitchen area worked brilliantly for us. It felt like a proper family home, with a fairly eclectic mix of cutlery, crockery and ephemera. And the kids loved the big projection screen in the basement! There isn’t much of a phone signal, but there is WiFi, although it can’t cope with lots of users at the same time ... not necessarily a bad thing when you are on holiday. Good shops very nearby in Vimoutiers, and we had some fun days out to Falaise, Bayeux and Arromanches-les-Bains. Xavier and Veronica were really helpful hosts too! All in all, a brilliant holiday. I would highly recommend the property.

Une superbe maison avec une belle piscine et un espace extérieur très agréable pour déjeuner. Seul petit bémol : ce n'était pas toujours facile de s'y retrouver au niveau de l'organisation entre les ustensiles de la cuisine intérieure et la cuisine extérieure. Nous aurions apprécié que l'hôte soit présent pour nous guider à ce sujet, même s'il était très réactif suite à nos questions.

Het huis en de omgeving biedt een hele goede basis voor een ontspannen vakantie met tennisbaan, zwembad en buitenkeuken. Communicatie met behulpzame eigenaar en beheerder verliep heel goed.

Magnifique demeure

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette belle maison très bien équipée, la cuisine extérieure particulièrement, le tennis, le ping-pong et la piscine, d'autant que nous avons eu un temps superbe. La literie est correcte, principalement dans les chambres doubles. L'odeur dans le sous sol est désagréable, dommage. ..

Grande maison pour grande famille !

Une magnifique propriété qui permet de réunir la tribu de sorte que chacun soit à l'aise et assez indépendant, grâce à : Chambres avec salles de douche privatives, deux cuisines (intérieure.et extérieure); deux grandes.pieces à vivre: de nombreux livres et jeux de société; grande piscine, court de tennis, potager, arbres fruitiers dans l'immense jardin. Dommage que les serviettes et le lit bébé ne puissent pas être fournis car ça prend beaucoup de place dans les bagages pour une famille nombreuse. Attention à surveiller étroitement les petits à cause de la piscine. Merci pour la chaise haute et les livres et jouets bébés ! On a tous envie de revenir !

Quirky and full of charm!

A bit like staying in a distant cousin's rural holiday home! Very French, little bit faded but with very well equipped kitchens (we spent most evenings in the outdoor kitchen) and comfy beds. The family adored the pool, loved the extensive gardens and tennis court. They'd all love to go back!

Superbe Maison

La maison est magnifique, très fonctionnelle et le terrain ainsi que le cadre est très agréable. La salle de projection, les nombreuses chambres ainsi que le terrain de tennis font la différence. Je recommande !

A wonderful place

We have had a wonderful holiday at Moulin Foulon, Crouttes. It's ideal for family holidays - a great way to gather the family. Good facilities in terms of pool and tennis court. Suitable size for 14 people (10 adults and 4 children). A quiet and nice area. Good possibilities for trips to invasion coast.

Quiet, relaxing break in a very private setting.

Two parents and four teenage children had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this lovely, well-equipped house. Whilst the décor is not five star hotel, this is made up for by the abundance of eclectic items (including costumes) scattered throughout the house, a basement library with all sorts of interesting books (mainly in French) and a projector to spend late evenings watching DVDs or playing games (PS3). On holiday in France we often make daily excursions, but with the great weather we had, days disappeared lounging around the heated pool or playing tennis (rackets and balls available) in the evenings and then eating al fresco using the fully equipped outdoor kitchen and barbecue. The grounds are large with a variety of fruit trees with a stream running through and apart from the occasional tractor there is peace and solitude. The six bedrooms in the main house are cosy and comfy rather than palatial but obviously we spent most of the time in the gardens or in the large downstairs lounge which is open plan the to the small well-equipped kitchen. The seventh bedroom (with en-suite) is part of the out-building and is private, although we didn't use it. Although Crouttes does not have shops it has a beautiful church and grounds, (a great place to watch the sun go down) whereas Vimoutiers (5 mls) is pretty and has supermarket etc. The house is about 1 hour from the coast where we enjoyed jet-skiing and we had great pleasure taking canoes down the local rivers. Xavier and Veronique were there to show us the house and we very soon felt at home and relaxed. We would love to return.

maison normande avec beaucoup de charme et d'espac

Nous avons passé une super semaine à 2 familles (10 personnes) dans cette belle maison normande avec beaucoup d'espace que ce soit à l'intérieur ou dans l'immense jardin arboré ; seuls points négatifs le ménage ( moquettes tachées , canapés... ) ,maison trop chargée en déco d'un style un peu glauque parfois pour une location de vacances ; dommage car la maison possède de très jolis meubles anciens et des espaces vraiment très sympa !

Très heureux que votre séjour se soit bien déroulé et que vous ayez aimé la maison ainsi que l'espace de notre jardin. Pardon pour les quelques défauts de ménage qui ont depuis été corrigés. Et merci pour votre remarque sur la décoration qui nous a sensibilisé, nous avons depuis retiré quelques éléments de déco ce qui l'a grandement allégé.

Magnifique week-end entre amies

Nous avons passé un week-end entre amies dans ce magnifique gîte très bien équipé (plancha, four, vaisselle, linge, vidéoprojecteur, jeux...). Beaucoup de cachet, un style ancien/brocante, une véritable caverne d'Ali Baba en pleine nature. Xavier, le propriétaire, était très disponible, à l'écoute et chaleureux. Malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la piscine et du tennis, la météo étant défavorable.
