Experience the comfort and luxury of a hotel combined with the personal touches and charm of a private home. The Bowler suite is a serene and welcoming space that is particularly well suited for longer stays. Our lovingly restored Hudson Milliner Boutique Guesthouse was built in 1860, the building was once used as a milliner's hat shop, and we have preserved many of its original details such as solid mahogany stairwells, stunning pocket doors with etched glass, and gorgeous hardwood floors.
The suite features one bedroom with a large living room area and a stunning eat-in-kitchen kitchen with room for 6 – 8 people. The bedroom has a queen-sized antique sled bed, a lounging area, and a designated workspace. There is an armoire with drawers and space to hang clothes. The spacious private bathroom has been renovated to combine old-world charm with a beautiful, restored clawfoot bathtub and shower. Oversized windows flood the rooms with sunshine and the 14-foot ceilings feature exposed original beams. A curated selection of locally sourced antique furniture and meticulously restored mid-century appliances meet modern conveniences such as central AC and heating, high-speed internet, blue-tooth speakers, a building-wide water filtration system, and access to washer/dryer. Special touches include bespoke fixtures made by reclaimed industrial materials, decorative floor tiles of our own design, and original artwork by us and our talented friends. Washer and dryer are available on a separate floor. As the unit is on the top floor, noise is minimal.
All guests have access to our beautiful covered greenhouse courtyard, a lovely space to enjoy your morning coffee, get work done, or indulge in a glass of wine. You can also use the BBQ to grill up a family dinner.
You won't need a car, as we're a 10-minute walk away from the train station. For guests who arrive by car, free street parking is available. If you have trouble finding a spot, we offer a private parking space for $30 per night. Guests will have sole access to their kitchen, bathroom, sleeping and living area. Our guests' privacy is most important to us.
Hudson Milliner is centrally located on the 400 block of Warren Street in Hudson. You have a great selection of restaurants, incredible antique stores, coffee shops, local pubs, as well as live music venues within walking distance. A nature walk just north of Hudson in the reserve is just a bike- or car ride away. A little further away are our personal favorites Bash Bish Falls and Kaaterskill Falls. If you are interested in Skiing during the winter we are 40 minters or left away from 3 different ski resorts!

Location could not be better. Beautifully decorated and large space. Some details need attention but these are minor. 1 detail to be mindful of (and this is clearly communicated) bed is a standard sized bed.
Clean rooms filled with antiques, art and light. Quiet location (except for hourly church bell, which I didn’t mind). Host was quick to respond, although sometimes the information was not complete or confusing. Excellent location and relaxing stay overall.
I thoroughly enjoyed my second stay. The accommodation was very comfortable, clean, and very conveniently right downtown Hudson.Charlotta is a wonderful hostess. I recommend. 5 out of 5!
The location is fantastic being on Warren st. Apt facing away from whatever hustle and bustle there might be. The interior is generous, well designed and playful. The communication was quick and friendly when needing answers to q’s. The only drawbacks were function. The large fridge wasn’t working but fortunately we had the small fridge available, not great for an extended stay. The pillows to the bed were top notch though the bed itself not the most comfortable. The dresser for clothes was beautiful but awkward to use and not easily opened. All in all a very good experience.
This property is perfectly situated on Warren street. We walked everywhere, and it was relatively easy to find. The Bowler was absolutely stunning, exactly as shown, and all of the retro kitchen appliances worked beautifully! Charlotta was easy to communicate with and we were able to meet her and Shannon at the end of our stay. Would absolutely stay again.
My wife and I stayed for a long weekend and the room was fantastic. Clean, beautifully designed and in the perfect location. We will definitely be back!
We were in Hudson for a wedding, and this place was perfect! Right on the main street with shops and restaurants, but no noise, and an easy ride from wherever you'd want to go. Charming interior decor from the millinery, upgraded with Google Nest for comfort :)
If we go back to Hudson, we'll definitely stay again!
We loved the apartment! Everything was awesome. Beautiful kitchen and exposed brick and beams. Host was super kind and accommodating too!

Perfect location on Warren Ave
Super cool townhouse in a perfect location in the middle of Warren Ave. Room was spacious with a nice kitchen and plenty of room to dine in. Bed was super comfortable with foam mattress. Easy key pad for entry and did not encounter another person the entire stay. Cool vibe overall.

Oozes with authentic Hudson character!
Lovely suite with incredible eclectic decor while being comfortable and exceptionally well located. It is set up as an apartment and has some Uber cool vintage touches like an icebox and 50s era oven. Everything works beautifully and communication was great. Staying here made us want to move to Hudson!

Vintage charm, roomy, in the heart of Hudson. Loved it!
Highly recommended! Not only was the place itself comfy and right in the center of town, the owners provided all sorts of great suggestions for what to do in and around Hudson. Would definitely stay here again.

An amazing place to stay
We stayed in the Bowler Suite and it was fantastic! The owners have done a terrific job of renovating the space but still highlighting a lot of the older features that make the space unique, such as the high ceilings with exposed beams and exposed brick wall. The decor and furnishings in the suite really made it feel like a home away from home and the large kitchen is a good combination of old and new. There's great tilework on the floors, a large modern sink and dishwasher, but there's also a cool vintage refrigerator and vintage stove that both work well. The kitchen was so great and the vintage stove so fun to use that we decided to buy groceries and cook dinner rather than going out to a restaurant to eat! We're already looking forward to our next visit and we might even try some of the restaurants in the area for dinner!

Amazingly unique apartment in a stylish city
While looking for a place to stay in Hudson, I was impressed by the photos of the Hudson Milliner. Turns out, it's just as impressive in person! The Bowler room was quirky and well-appointed - definitely an experience in and of itself. Charlotta was a great host, ensuring myself and my guest had all of our questions answered. As far as location goes, it's right in the middle of things. Hudson has a lot to offer in the way of high-quality restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend to anyone!

A beautiful and cozy haven in the center of town
My husband and I stayed at the Hudson Milliner (Bowler Room) this past summer, and I'm still talking (and daydreaming) about this lovely place.
It's the perfect place to stay in Hudson. Walking distance to gorgeous views, eclectic shops (sooo many vintage/antique shops), fantastic restaurants (Wm. Farmer & Sons, Grazin, Food Studio, Swoon) and bars (Spotty Dog Books & Ale and Back Bar). Coffee and delicious waffles at Moto.
The Bowler suite at The Hudson Milliner was super clean and so lovely-magazine worthy yet cozy.
The Innkeepers sent an email prior to our stay, with super helpful info and wonderful suggestions.
It's an easy town to navigate- perfect for weekend stay. Just be sure to start your day early, as just about everything closes early.

About the host
Hosted by Charlotta Janssen
Charlotta is a painter and restauranteur, who grew up in Iran and Germany. Her paintings tour the States and they are inspired by the police mug shots of the heroic Bus Boycotters and Freedom Riders from the '50's and '60's. Her restaurants Chez Oskar and Lola are located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
Shannon is an advertising photographer from New York City, who challenges big waves, plays street basketball and studies jiu jitsu whenever he isn't shooting a photograph or renovating a gorgeous building.
Why they chose this property
Great for urbanites in need of sun, space, luxury, antiques, fine dining, nature walks & culture: located on the main drag of Warren Street, it's a 10 minute walk from the train station. Once a milliner's hat shop built in 1860, you are transported straight into another time the moment you enter. Many original details are still in place: pre-tin plaster moldings, solid mahogany stairwells, pocket doors with etched glass inlay, large mahogany framed windows and gorgeous hardwood floors. The kitchen and bathrooms have been carefully renovated to fit in style with carefully selected and restored fixtures, such as an electric stove from the forties and a refrigerator from that period as well. Add central air, high speed internet and a washer/dryer on premise: the perfect getaway.
What makes this property unique
As busy New Yorkers we understand the need for R & R. We liked the idea of a B&B, but had something a bit more intimate in mind: a romantic place, going back in time, where our guests could come into town, immediately immerse into the surroundings and also if need be withdraw and cook for themselves in a spacious retro kitchen. In another words: a romantic spacious getaway with the beauty of clean air and a country vibe along with the luxury of great restaurants, live entertainment and quality antiquing/shopping
