We are located in the Historic and charming Ocean Park area of Santa Monica, safe and clean neighborhood, just blocks form the beach and neighborhood parks.
This unique property has high ceilings throughout and offers a spacious, clean and comfortable large bedroom, full kitchen and sofa area, full bathroom with an antique claw foot tub and shower, walk in closet, and a private entrance.
Enjoy an easy 8 block nieghborhood walk to Santa Monica beaches, and Main Street.
We are halfway between The Santa Monica Pier and Venice Boardwalk. 1.1 miles in either direction.

This 100 year old home is full of beautiful character details and has been updated for a few basic modern needs.
There is a visitor parking permit that allows for street parking , usually right in front. ($150 fee if parking permit is not left on the property when guests check out.)
The Queen sized bed can sleep 2 adults, and the futon sofa opens flat and will sleep one child or very petite adult.
With 10 1/2 foot ceilings, the cottage is quiet, light and airy, very private. Enjoy the amazing front yard garden sitting at the porch table with your morning coffee.
Clean and comfortable with attention to details... white cotton sheets, fluffy large towels, beach towels, Keurig coffee maker, Britta filtered water, beach chairs, large flat screen smart TV, wi-fi, bluetooth speaker, organic lotions and potions, bath salts and sunscreen all for your use. There are extra sheets for the futon and bed in the bedroom closet as well as brooms and mops.
Laundry facilities are just a few blocks away.
(for longer term rental, I will launder the sheets and towels weekly)
We live in the Main house, and will be here for most arrivals and always available if needed.

Great stay

The location was really good for both getting to the beach and heading north to LA. Check in was easy, the parking permit was great to have and the house was very nice! Highly recommend booking here.

Extremely well appointed with amenities and thoughtful accessories for the beach. Description is accurate and personalized welcome with helpful info was appreciated. Only reason for not highest rating for comms, was timing mismatch when seeking late check out. If we come that way again, I'd re-rent.

My wife and I had a great time staying here. Very close to the beach and it’s a quick drive to Venice. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the Santa Monica area.

Great Beach Getaway

Lorna was so friendly and we enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for our beach time and an easy drive to Universal Studios. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Cozy place, great location

We've stayed here a few times (although not recently) and it has always been a great experience. Lorna and Paul are helpful and attentive hosts, and the unit is cozy, comfortable and well appointed. Best of all is the location - walkable to beach, downtown, restaurants, shops and services. Highly recommended!

My mother & I had a fantastic stay. She came to visit the city & we had so much to do near the VRBO. Short distance to the beach. Located close to great coffee shops and restaurants. It was quiet, clean, & close to everything we needed!

Perfect Guest House

Beautiful property. Among the best we've experienced with VRBO. Ample space. Very comfortable bed. And plenty of kitchen staples and other incidentals included. Ready access to local shops and beaches. The hosts were gracious and timely with communication. Highly recommend.

Everything you need and good walkability

Great for our Mother / Daughter vacation. We don't mind walking and we're able to walk to the Santa Monica Pier. Host was great! Made checking in super easy and very responsive.

Great, clean, quiet apartment

Love my stay in this cute, clean apartment. I was in Santa Monica for business and it was the perfect place to feel like home away from away. I appreciated the amenities, from bathroom toiletries and equipped kitchen. Walking distance to Main Street and the beach, yet super quiet and safe. Would definitely book again.

Great!

This vacation rental was very comfortable. We appreciated a decent kitchen, a comfortable bed, beach chairs and beach towels and a convenient location. Lorna was a gracious host with tips on parking and restaurants. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here!

Lovely Location!

Beautiful one-bedroom apartment, not on the beach but close enough to walk, very well-kept property. Owners live in the same building, and were very friendly, personable, and helpful. All instructions were clear and the apartment was available exactly as listed in Vrbo.

Great location, nice hosts. Only observation is the walls are thin and you can hear things above and around you. It's a vintage home, though, so it comes with territory. :-)

Awesome trip

We came in for a stay for a couple nights for a Chargers game. Check in was super simple. Bed was comfy. Parking was easy. No issues at all for our first trip to California. Be aware to anyone out of state that smokes. It is a bit of a challenge. Plan to go for walks lol. But 5 star review. House was awesome.

Absolutely Lovely!

Our stay at this VRBO was amazing! Check in was so convenient, and our host was flexible when my flight landed early and I was able to head right over and check in! The unit itself was so cozy, extremely clean, and well stocked with some books, a very nice kitchen area, a bedroom with plenty of space and storage, and a bathroom with cabinets full of things we were welcome to use and the most gorgeous clawfooted tub! It was the perfect size for the two of us and the location couldn’t have been more of a pleasant surprise for our first trip to SoCal. Easily accessible from/to so many places, very walkable, loads of parking (and a parking pass!) I can’t say enough good things about this stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Okay place.

It was pretty small, but had everything you needed for a brief stay. The owner lives right next door and is very nice and accessible. It would be helpful if all the used/old hair care products were disposed of from the bathroom drawers so guests had a place to keep their own toiletries. I'm not sure anyone is going to use unknown hair products anyway.

I have lived right here in Santa Monica for 30 years and LOVE this area!, and am thoroughly familiar with this city as well as the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Why they chose this property

We are located in just the right distance to the beach, allowing for beautiful morning or evening walks, in cool clean air all year round. Without the heavy beach traffic and parking concerns.
We are in a very friendly and safe neighborhood, easy access also to shops, cafes, great food and entertainment.
We are also a short drive to the Santa Monica mountains which has many wonderful hikes leading to fabulous views of the coast and city.
Not to mention many of the City's other major attractions. Easy access to the local bus is just around the corner, which is 8 miles from LAX.
