Duneside III 304 is a one-bedroom, one-bath oceanfront condo located 0.1 miles south of Garden City Pier, directly facing the ocean. This unit has a fully-equipped kitchen complete with breakfast bar, cookware, utensils, microwave and dishwasher, living room with private balcony, and central heat and air conditioning. Four TVs (cable), DVD player, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one queen and two twin-sized beds, plus a double-sized sofa bed. No washer or dryer in unit. Complex amenities include a coin-operated laundry and oceanfront outdoor swimming pool. Limit one parking pass per unit. No elevator. No trailers. No golf carts. No pets. Property permits off-season monthly rentals. Maximum occupancy: 6

Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Cafe, and Original Sam's Corner.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.

If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.

Looking for entertainment and attractions? Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

The mattress is sinking in the middle and it was impossible to get around the bed from the window side especially for older people due to no walking room. I also had to vacuum the bedroom because of dead bugs in the floor. Our entry code would not work upon arrival but maintenance arrived quickly and was extremely nice and helpful.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is a great location right on the beach. There are a few stores a restaurants within walking distance. There is not an elevator so be okay with walking luggage and items up and down the stairs. If you forget your passcode to get in your door, just call and they can remotely unlock for you. If you are not familiar with the area, the pier is right next to this unit, there is a bar/restaurant which is loud at night with music. The sheets and towels are in sealed bags so that you can confirm they are clean. I had to mop the floors when I arrived as there was a dirty film on floor that was making our feet black when walking barefoot. The bathtub also needed to be cleaned. Overall the unit was clean. I had to put a towel down on any outside furniture before sitting because they were dirty.

NEVER use Garden City Realty, Inc!!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: By far the worst example of southern hospitality I have ever experienced! Upon arrival for my vacation the check in was good and courteous. We arrived at our condo which was very nice, updated, and mostly clean. There were only a few minor complaints. Some hair in the tub, the tub was wet as if recently used, a yellow what appeared to be pee stain in the center of the bed comforter. Wasn’t sure if it had been washed so I had to sniff test it (lol). Online pictures of the condo were very misleading of the size of the unit. As I said all of this was minor. Now the issues began. When I booked my vacation unit at duneside III it stated all of the amenities which included one parking spot per room. The property had 21 rooms and 15 parking spots at the most. We were advised of the parking restrictions, the public beach access area and that the parking rules were strictly enforced. We were told our parking permit must be facing out at all time while parked in the parking lot. When entering the lot immediately to your left were what appeared to be three parking spots which had been used as such since our arrival. However, much to our surprise we woke up Wednesday morning to find our car gone. No phone call, no explanation of any sort. Once we found our car we were informed by cotton towing service that we were towed for illegal parking. Keep in mind we were parking in the private parking lot of our property where we had paid for a unit with a parking spot. I then called garden city realty who says they have to call the tow company and get their side of the story and they will call me back. Initially the Garden City Realty representative appeared to be helpful stating if necessary she would drive to the property herself to asses the parking situation. After standing outside for about thirty minutes or more waiting for a call back that I never got I finally called them back. They suggested I call an uber and pay $185 cash to get my car back.

Unfortunately we ladies were very disappointed in the condition of the property. The cleanliness of the property was not up to par. Our feet turned back from the floors. We swept them ourselves, and found hair, sand and dirt. There is mold under the caulk in the bathtub, doors and trim had not been wiped for some time. The bathroom sink would not drain, and the garbage cabinet would not stayed closed. It's unfortunate, because we loved the location. We just made the best of it. (Yes, we contacted Housekeeping right away to let them know)

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 304 Duneside III is a compact unit right on the beach. The view is spectacular with easy access to the fabulous Garden City Beach. The unit is very small but is suitable for a short term stay for a couple with perhaps 2 children. We’re a senior couple and stayed here for 3 months, January, February and March 2024. The bed, although, advertised as Queen, was a Double and the mattress was not good. Access to one side of the bed was also unsuitable as there was only a 4 or 5” gap to be able to access one side of the bed or climbing over the other person. The unit was surface cleaned when we arrived, dusty and sandy floor, so once we cleaned it ourselves it was suitable. I would not recommend this unit for a long stay, but for a weekend, week or two, would be just fine. Can’t beat the location!!

Other than that I would recommend and will definitely return.

Nice view, clean condo and endless entertainment

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pro’s Clean updated condo with great view. Always entertainment from pier right to your deck wether its a band playing or karaoke. It was convenient to be within walking distance to souvenir shops, pier, food and arcades. Pool was also cleaned every morning! Con’s were limited and challenging parking especially on weekends due to it being next to pier & public beach access. We found folks parking without a permit. More than once including check in day we had to drive around for about 20 min waiting on a spot to open. Bed is terrible and not arranged well in the room at all. Makes it difficult for 2 people to sleep in it. We ended up leaving a day early because of the bed situation. Its crooked and you roll to the middle of the bed. My hubbies back couldn’t take another day of it. If the bed were to be replaced I would recommend it to a friend. A good night sleep is important while being on vacation!

The only complaint is the mattress on the bed in the bedroom is horrible and needs replacing. The springs in the mattress are worn out and you sleep on a slant toward the middle. Everything else is great.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a small 1 bedroom with two bunkbeds, ocean front condo. The space was great, but small. It was just my husband and I. Live entertainment from the next door pier was great and entertaining. The condo did not come with hand towels for the bathroom or kitchen towels, no sponge or wash cloth for dishes or dish washer soap. But they expect you to run the dishwasher before you leave? The bed in the master bed room is small and hard to get around as it is pushed up against the wall, It would be hard for elderly couples to get in and out of it. Other than the small hard to get out of bed and some missed necessities the condo is in the perfect location and great for a small family visit.

Even though all the condos there are small, this one seemed bigger and less cluttered. It was more modern and functional. The only issue was that I had to do some cleaning as it didn’t seem as clean as it should have been. After I cleaned the floors you could actually walk on them without getting sand on your feet.

The condo itself has beautifully updated decor. Our kids loved the built in bunks. I noticed that the garden city realty cleaners left quite a bit for us to clean up however. The stove was still greasy and nasty. The shower mats in the bathroom had hair and dirt all over them. Hair was all over the bathroom. And the comforters were just thrown in closet (really makes ya feel like they aren’t clean at all) The mattress in the master bedroom was terrible. Me and my husband ended up sleeping on the pull out couch instead of in the master bedroom! When you spend a pretty good chunk on a small condo, you hope to at least get to feel rested. Not so much. The condo complex desperately needs an elevator. With two small kids and luggage by the end of our trip we were exhausted from climbing 8 flights of stairs two or more times a day. We enjoyed being so close to the pier but I think next year we will opt for somewhere else. Note to owner if you read this: hire someone else to do your cleaning. And invest in a nice mattress for master.

After climbing the steps for ten days we are in much better shape.The parking could be better and getting in and out of the bed was a problem because the room was too small. However could not have asked for a better place. Enjoyed our view !!!
