Wonderful resort like stay

Stay-cation in New Mexico

Lots of room inside and out. Game and media rooms were awesome for kids and kept them busy while there in afternoons and evenings. Pool was winterized when we arrived but owner came and opened it for us. It was a little cold but kids still enjoyed it on the hot afternoons. Owner was very responsive. GREAT PLACE. Would stay here again.

This property is so accommodating

This property is so accommodating you'll never want to go downtown. We hosted our family reunion of 10 people comfortable over the July 4th independence day celebrations in Rosewell and UFO activities and we'll be back. The pool and game room were a hit with all ages with a kitchen and dining area set up for large gatherings.

A wonderful respite

First off, this is not just a rental house – it is a destination! With the pool, the game room, the media room and plenty of room for board games and puzzles there was no need to seek out any other activities. The house even came equipped with pool toys! We are three generations and it was wonderful to have so much space to spread out. Not only was the space welcome, but the house is exceptionally well built and very quiet with no noise traveling from room to room. Previously our annual get together has been spent on the beach in NC and we were all a bit anxious about how this would work, but the kids loved it! They called this house “the mansion”. We had a couple issues, but Chris was fast to respond and they were quickly resolved. Thanks for a wonderful week!

Girls Family Weekend

We recently stayed at this home for a mother/daughter getaway! My mother and sister and my aunts and their daughters as well. We just wanted to spend some time together relaxing and not really going anywhere, this house was perfect for that. We were able to cook meals together and they had everything we needed to do this. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. I could always reach them for any questions we had before and during our stay. I would also like to say that the pictures don't do the house justice. It is very large and very clean and organized and easy to feel at home. If you are staying with a large group there are lots of places to get away and have your own space but also come together as a group as well. All of the bedrooms in the home are spacious, even the smaller ones. And with lots of women, the 8 bathrooms were a plus for us. We really enjoyed our escape from reality for a little while and we would definitely stay here again!!

A great base camp for different adventures.

We just returned home from our stay over Spring Break. We brought 2 trailers of ATV's & Side by sides to ride at the state OHV areas, as well as take our kids to the snow. This home provided a secure place to park our toys, as well as a great place to spend a day off. We were able to spend a day at a off road park, and leave our toys at the house the next day while we went to the snow. The open kitchen was a nice place to sit around the bar top while cooking. We spent most of our evenings sitting around there, and the mornings having coffee. The spaced out floor plan of the house was nice. It gave our little ones a chance to play with their toys and have breakfast without waking everyone up. We would recommend staying here when in Roswell. I have never stayed in Roswell before, and this house is the reason we chose Roswell as a base camp for Spring Break. Roswell is a bit of a drive from ski areas, and state off road areas. So be prepared for a 1:30 drive from the house to each place. We liked being out on the edge of town, quiet, and secure. To see off road parks go to .rider planet. That is where we go to find parks where we are staying.

Great place to relax and enjoy the quiet of the countryside in style.

Beautiful high level home. The host was great and checked in with us several times - very responsive to questions and requests. We were all very happy with the experience. The very large projection theater room made the visit extra special (and inspired me to do the same at my home). You will need to explore the home to find it (hint: on second floor but not the TV set in the small room upstairs). A few little things missing (and I stress little): - No hot tub.... for a home of this quality & location, a hot tub/spa is really needed (great for the winter time or cool nights) - Handout left in the home said no fireplace fires: Best if owner converted inside fireplaces to gas as having a fire is almost a must have... for the outdoor fireplace, I would suggest use be allowed as little risk for damage. - Need more wine glasses.. the ones there are few and what wine connoisseurs call "joker" glasses. This means they are not sized properly for red wines. Given the quality of wine we brought with us, we stopped and bought our own glasses. - Expensive wine to good pizza: there was no pizza cutter.. we bought one and left it for the house use. - No meat temp probe.. we bought a very cheap one and left it for the house use (I would suggest a Thermapen by ThermoWorks). ==> Kitchen was wonderful.. just needs to be better stocked for cooking & entertaining. - Pool is not heated & not available for use starting in the fall. Would be easy to add solar heating panels for year round use. - BBQ worked but the house needs to add a charcoal starter chimney (or add a propane BBQ). Luckily we found liquid charcoal lighter in the garage - however, for high quality meat on a BBQ, one should never use charcoal lighter fluid (the BBQ snob in me). But small items aside.. beautiful home (inside and out) and I highly recommend it to anyone. Absolutely would rent again. Thank you for sharing this amazing home. Warm regards, Dave PS: - For a nice place to eat try the Cattle Baron. Prime Rib and extensive salad bar was great. - Lincoln city (Billy the Kid era) is worth the day trip as well as the lava fields (biggest in North America) and old military forts. - Carlsbad Caverns (classified as a World Heritage) is well worth the two hour drive to go see. - Alien museum was a disappointment - make it the last thing to do on your trip (so if you miss it it won't matter).

A Beautiful Family Retreat

Old beautiful home with game room, theatre room and great size pool. My family of 15 enjoyed our staycation in Roswell. My cons were ; could have used outdoor furniture on top deck. Also not clean enough, not vacuumed or swept inside or out. The decorations were very thick in dust and ran out of basic supplies, toilet paper and paper towels, so be sure to bring your own. Billy Kokler, was very nice and offered to get us more and to help us with anything he could.

Resort home

This property is amazing. Very well furnished and stocked for our 5 families totally 18.. The game room and the pool were wonderful. We found a lot of things to do around Roswell, but we really liked just staying at home the best. We will definitely stay here again if we’re ever in this area.

Love my family

This property embraces you with love. From the moment I entered the home I could sense there was love and attention to detail in every inch of this massive home. Simply stunning. I had some work to do while I was on vacation so having a private office in the master suite was excellent. I was there with my 4 adult children, my grandchildren and great granddaughter! Simply a perfect place to spend good quality time together. The game room downstairs right off of the fantastic pool is phenomenal. And the pool is spectacular-we just loved spending time at/in the pool. New Mexico is the land of enchantment - this property epitomizes NM’s catch phrase. Thank you for allowing me to love my family through entertaining at your home. Truly a blessing to all of my family this year.

Beautiful Home

We enjoyed the house. It has a great layout. The kids as well as adults enjoyed the pool. The house was very clean and well equipped. Chris was very attentive and responded to all questions immediately. We would definitely stay there again!

Fantastic Place

This house is amazing, everything you could possibly need. Very roomy bathrooms and laundry available for every room, Media room was great to watch the superbowl, game room downstairs was very fun. A couple issues at the beginning but the owners son (forget his name) was very accommodating and fixed or explained everything for us..Only thing that would have made it better was if the pool was heated, other than that a fantastic stay

Place is great! Lots of rooom, beautiful setting away from other people yet only ten minutes from town. Well maintained, and Chris was very gracious when I called him with questions - and always picked up! Ten adults and four kids were very comfortable there! Can't say enough good things about it!

Nice but needs tlc

We didn't have air conditioning three out of the five days in the master bedroom, the main room and one upstairs bedroom that the kids couldn't even sleep in, it was too hot! We weren't offered any compensation and at $600 a night everything should be working! The house was very spacious and the kids loved the pool. Chris was very cordial and polite when we spoke to him but things just didn't get fixed!

Amazing!

We recently had the pleasure of spending a week in this beautiful home. The owners have thought of everything and everyone in our group kept commenting how much they loved the house. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and do what they wanted from putting puzzles together, to playing in the game room or floating in the pool. Upon arrival, there was even a welcome note and basket of goodies which was a first for us as we have never had an owner be so thoughtful. Thank you Chris for sharing your home with us! It truly is remarkable. Treat yourself and your family to this amazing house- you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I worked with a seasoned Santa Fe architect to design this spacious house. Much thought went into each detail. The quality of workmanship is superb.

Why they chose this property

The layout of this house was designed with a large family in mind (ours). The kids bedroom wing has four bedrooms, each with it's own full bathroom. Between the bathrooms is a shared laundry room. The living area is VERY spacious and open for entertaining many guests. The kitchen has a Sub Zero refrigerator with walnut paneled doors, two dishwashers, trash compactor and ice maker. The kitchen is completely open to the living and dining areas. The 1800 square foot basement is an awesome recreation room which includes a kitchenette with a full size freezer.

What makes this property unique

While this house gives you great privacy and a feeling of being remote, it is only minutes from town.
