A quaint and cozy log cabin with a large bedroom with a queen bed and two twin beds and a large sitting area with a futon for extra sleeping if needed. Plus a separate livingroom with a sofabed, recliner, TV with DirectTV satellite and a dvd player with a movie library, book library and family games with a game table. Free Wi-Fi is available. Also the small kitchen has a combination small refrigerator, two burner stove and sink and a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, medium size refrigerator and a small convection oven. The cabin has it's own full bathroom with a shower and toilet. It has great outside space with a deck on two sides that face the most marvelous view of the Bitterroot mountains to watch the sunset from. There is a outside grill and fire pit to farther enjoy the Montana wilderness feeling. 'Bear Cave' is decorated with the original watercolor paintings and limited edition prints by the co-owner/artist, Tracy Rose Moyers, that are available for purchase. Cabin is located in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley which is considered in the 'banana belt' which means that the area has milder weather compared to the rest of Montana. The Bitterroot is also considered one of the best fly-fishing areas of the country. This cabin is pet friendly but owners must approve the breed first (due to insurance rules). Cabin is non-smoking but we allow smoking on the outside deck and supply a can with sand for your cigarettes butts. This cabin is NOT handicapped accessible due to it's rustic nature and the different levels.

The Best Den was a great place to stay! Check-in process was easy and the house itself was clean and the decorations were a fun addition. I would recommend others to this location.
Had a great experience and the little cabin provided what my family needed while visiting family we haven't seen in years. The cabin comfortably fit my family of 5.
We were just there for one night to attend a nearby wedding. It was the perfect little
cabin for that occasion.

We stayed in the Bear Cave. It was great. Everything was super clean, we had everything we needed, the view off The deck was amazing. We had to leave a day early unfortunately, but we will definitely book again. I would also recommend Wilderness Spirit to pretty much anybody.
Very good. The host was great…we got in later and my preference is to have a key left or a lock with a PIN number…but as I said the host was very accommodating and nice.
A breathtaking view of the beautiful mountains that we absolutely loved. Comfortable cozy cabin that our family throughly enjoyed. We BBQed our dinner and sat around the fire pit making smores each night. Less than 5 minutes to Hamilton and 5 minutes to fishing and 2 minutes to Daily Mansion for pics around the outside of the mansion. This cabin is centrally located.

Property is stated to be two bedroom but there is just one bedroom and a living room that have beds. This was difficult because two couples stayed and there was little privacy. A living room does not qualify as a bedroom.

I’m sorry you were unhappy with the cabin. We do state in the description that it is one bedroom with a queen bed, two twins and a futon. Then we state that there is an extra sleeping spot in the living room which has a sofabed. It is listed as a one bedroom but can sleep up to six. And we show all the rooms in the photos that shows the sleeping arrangement. We are sorry that you may have missed that information while looking at the cabin.
Overall good, but did not like all of the transitions in the layout - not safe. The toilet was suitable for a 4 year old. Anyone over that age could get hurt due to it being so low.
The Bear Cave is not for everyone. Very little privacy, and the sleeping situation is like a hostel. Steps between rooms require attention when walking around. The electrical situation is creative. Beautiful view, very close to Hamilton a plus. We enjoyed the bear theme.
Overall we enjoyed the stay. Thankfully we had a couple shorter adults, the twin beds are designed for children, so we had some issues with sleeping. We had a cot otherwise it would have been tough, I think this should be noted better in the listing. The kitchen was hard to work with more than one in there. All that being said, we enjoyed the cabin and Dale was a nice guy that was very engaging and nice to visit with. I would stay in the cabin again.
Very beautiful and cozy cabin for the weekend. Was very spacious and has everything you would need.

About the host
Hosted by Tracy and Dale Moyers
Dale and Tracy moved out to Montana from Virginia, to follow their dream of running a vacation cabin rental business. Tracy is also a professional artist that specializes in watercolor and paints the Native Americans, wildlife and landscapes of Montana. Her studio is located in the main house on the same grounds as the cabins. The couple moved to Montana the summer of 2014 and after living in their motorhome for the summer and looking at numerous properties for sale, they found just what they were looking for with this property- a log house with three cabins. The property was owned by an older woman that ran it as a bed and breakfast (Heavenly View Hideaway Bed and Breakfast) but at 75 years of age she was ready to sell and retire. Being the ideal place that Tracy and Dale were looking for.
Tracy and Dale met and dated in high school back in Virginia but when Tracy went out to Denver Colorade for Art College, they went separate ways. They dated again after Tracy graduated and came back to Virginia but at that time were on different paths, so went separate ways again. They both married other people and moved on with their lives. But 30 years later, after both happened to be divorced, they ran into one another again and the third time was the charm- they got married. Both brought two sons each into the marriage and now all four sons are grown and out on their own. That was when Tracy and Dale got the opportunity to follow their dreams and move out to Montana and start the new business, Wilderness Spirit Cabins.
Why they chose this property
After visiting Montana for the first time back in 2000, Tracy fell in love with the state. Visited again several times through the years and introduced it to Dale. Both love the beauty and mountains and rivers and lakes of the area and looked at numerous properties in the western part of Montana before finding the perfect spot. Which was this place! Where there are numerous hiking trails, flyfishing on the Bitterroot River, Lake Como for swimming, boating, water skiing and jet skiing, and in the winter the ski resorts are within an hour drive. Great location for all those Montana activities.
What makes this property unique
The heavenly view is the highlight of this property. Also the rural atmosphere yet real close to the towns of Corvallis and Hamilton and the numerous activities that one can enjoy in the Bitterroot Valley.
