Welcome to serenity. You will surely feel at ease in this 24 hour gated community in Playa Hermosa. As you enter the community, beautiful exotic birds and iguanas will greet you.

Four Bedrooms/3.5 Bath/Large Shaded Balcony/ Ocean views/Natural light/Floor to Ceiling windows/Master has extra shared bedroom with bunkbeds for kids.

Guarded 24 HOURS in community and on the beach. There is plenty of help if in need of immediate assistance. This is a handicap accessible bedroom/bath area in the home. Bathroom is equipped with extra side wall railings etc. Please ask for exact accommodations. Once you enter the gate, turn left onto the second block and you will see Casa 93 halfway down the short block on your left. The yellow house with large mango tree is located half a block from the gorgeous community pool on the beach.

You will feel absolute comfort here. I am happy to provide personal chef information, tour info, trusted taxi driver, and housekeepers as requested. The beach club concierge is available to reserve any type of tour in the area.

Steps away from world renown waves & 5 mi. long beach, life becomes easy.

The Private Playa Hermosa Gated community offers access to an expansive pool with a swim up bar and delicious food from “YoYo’s” restaurant. Handicap access to beach. Keys to the pool will be provided at check-in.

The clubhouse provides plenty of lounge chairs and there is a line of palm trees on the beach to hangout or shield yourself from the strong sun as desired. There are plenty of places to hike around the area as well if you're feeling adventurous.

Located 10 minutes from Jaco, it is a short ride there to learn to surf on some smaller waves, find shops, restaurants and clubs. Jaco is the biggest city north of Hermosa Palms community area, so you will be able to find whatever you need there.

This black sand beach is also a Turtle sanctuary. Up to 20,000 turtles hatch each year and with a bit of luck you can see the enormous sea turtles arrive to one of their favorite nesting grounds. MONTHS: Best time to visit is July to December. Particularly in and around September, hatchlings are released almost daily!

Spacious home with nearby pool and beach

Our family of 10 (3 generations) thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Playa Hermosa. The pool was ideal for all ages, and we took full advantage of the excellent food/drinks at the swim-up bar. The children enjoyed countless hours at the beach, and we really appreciated the shade (both at the pool and the beach).

Big house, great location and clean. The pool and the proximity to the beach...we love it. We had an issue with the kitchen and the administrator immediately solved it for us...excellent service!

Amazing property, absolutely stunning! The house needs a couple upgrades b/c of age but nothing that interferes in the stay. Liz was very quick to respond to messages and will help with arranging rides if needed. The neighborhood is very safe and the pool and swim up bar have incredible food and drinks! We had 8 people in our group everyone had beds and there was plenty of room for everyone. Would recommend to anyone, house was amazing would give 100 stars! Thanks Liz!

Great stay @ Hermosa Palms

My family stayed here for a week. The house itself is lovely, clean, well decorated and well equipped. The owner was responsive and easy to deal with.We really enjoyed our time in the Hermosa Palms community. Beach access is a couple of minutes walk away and we took long walks on the beach every day.The community pool is large and well kept, with a great bar and kitchen. The food is very good pub food. We often ended up having a late dinner here at the end of our day.Hermosa Palms is a quiet, safe gated community. There's a great Bodega and Pizza place about 5 minutes down the road which is very handy.

Wonderful stay. Communication with the host was terrific. Would definitely return. Property was in a safe location. FYI: The wi-fi and password were incorrect (different network and password) and just needs to be updated. Also, the bed on the 1st floor wasn't really a bed and the guest had to sleep on the couch.

Absolutely Amazing

We can’t tell you loud enough that this place and the VRBO adid is way understated. It’s clean, organized, has everything, close to the beach (world class surfing), amazing pool, (YoYo’s restaurant is unreal), secure, best neighbors, close restaurants, should I go on?? We had 12 people and it worked out great. The host communicated fast and I can’t thank them enough. 1:20 min to Manuel Antonio 1:00 hr to monkey tour 15 min to Jaco Book it, book it, book it The Read/Dayton families

Nice House and Great Location

Two families (4 adults, and kids ages 12, 12, 12, 14, 14) stayed here and were very comfortable. Pros: -good AC -comfy sheets -two fridges -4 bathrooms -washer/dryer -easy walk to pool/beach -Yoyo's pool bar and restaurant (great food!) -gated community -20 min drive to Jaco for surf lessons, restaurants, horseback riding -good wifi -starfruit tree in back yard -keypad front door lock (don't need to have key) -excellent sushi restaurant and grocery store minutes outside of complex to the left -large covered porch off bedrooms Feel free to message me with any specific questions

EXCELLENT in every way!

We absolutely LOVED this property! It was even better than we expected. My husband (Costa Rica), myself, and our 4 kids brought some Costa Rican family with us for a Tuesday-Saturday stay. We parked our cars in the driveway and never took them back out until we departed the property! Liz was so responsive, attentive, and caring. We spent all our days enjoying the beach, the pool, walking around the development, and enjoying time at the beautiful home! HIGHLY recommend this place. :)

Pura vida

The house was even nicer and more spacious and cozy than it looked online, which was a pleasant surprise. The pool and the beach were fantastic and so close. We had plenty of privacy and felt safe. I had to communicate with Liz on a few occasions and she was very helpful and responsive. We are used to using VRBO in the US, and the VRBO in Costa Rica was a little different in that it did not provide shampoo and conditioner. We also bought bath soap although there was pump soap provided. I asked for laundry detergent and Liz kindly supplied it, but I’m not sure it was supposed to be provided. Beds and pillows were plentiful and comfortable. All around wonderful stay and I’d come back.

Great stay!!

The house is amazing! there is so much room and it is very comfortable, it has everything you need! We loved our stay here, the rooms are big and comfortable and the neighborhood is awesome. The pool is nice and big so even with a lot of people doesn't feel crowded! The host is super nice and she responds almost immediately to any concerns. There is no loud music allowed after 10pm so just be aware that is def not a crazy party neighborhood! (we kept the music just for ourselves and there was no problem though).

Exactly as advertised, and a little more!

I recently stayed at the house with a group of friends and it was spacious enough for nine of us to be there comfortably. The location is perfect if you are looking to stay away from the noise, yet still have enough amenities close by. Although I don't believe crime is big in near by Jaco, this beautiful private community felt safe at all times. The pool is perfect and the swim up bar has some amazing food and drinks. Plus you can't go wrong with the sunsets from the beach, only a couple minutes walk away. Liz was very easy to deal with, and always came back to me within a timely manner. Should I be in a similar position next time I travel to the region, I'll definitely come back!

The house is conveniently located to the beach, a pool, a small market, and an outdoor shower to remove sand from the beach. The house had all the amenities we needed. It had good sound insulation and we couldn’t hear others when in the bedroom. When the AC broke a person was sent and fixed it immediately. Oh

Had a great time staying at Liz’s VRBO. The house was beautiful and very spacious. Was in a nice gated community and very safe with Gards at the gate at all times. Beach was just steps away and the house was close to anything you would need. Really enjoyed our stay!

Great Vacation

My family and I came to Costa Rica from New Jersey to enjoy a bit warmer weather since our December had been colder than usual. We envisioned long, warm days lounging and swimming at the pool enjoying the beautiful surroundings. This home is truly lovely, well-kept, clean and nice as the pictures displayed at VRBO. If I were rating this review solely on the house, it would be 5 stars. However, there two areas of the home that I believe that the owner may want to consider improvement on – 1) the master bathroom shower drainage system needs replacement/repair and 2) the living room large black sofa is in poor condition. Matt, the caretaker, was a great help for anything we needed. He was attentive and addressed our concerns timely. He made suggestions regarding restaurants, entertainment, and nightlife in Jaco which is 10 minutes driving by car from the house. Playa Hermosa is super cool little town with amazing beaches, views, waves, restaurants and bars. We rented a car so the trips to and from Jaco for dinner, nightlife, afternoon surfing contests, etc were a blast. We visited Manuel Antonio beach (1.5 hrs drive from the house), went zip lining and rode ATV, which we loved. We also visited Arenal volcano, which was a long trip, but worth it. We loved the volcano and surrounding areas. Next time we will check out the hot spring. All in All it was one of the nicest places we have stayed in Costa Rica...This was our 2nd time in the country, So a big thanks to Liz and Matt for allowing us to stay in your home and taking good care of us. Beautiful neighborhood area close to the beach. A very safe and family oriented community. Property care taker, Matt, lives in Jaco (15mins away) if any problems arise feel free to call him. The locals know us, respect us, and our property.
