What a wonderful place to have a holiday! Unfortunately the heated pool was not open (April) but would definitely book again. The town of Monpazier was delightful and very friendly!

Moulin Neuf is a beutifully restored and charming property in a peaceful and scenic position. It is well equipped and tastefully furnished with everything we required. Lauren has made a beautiful job of the interior woodwork which highlights its previous use as a barn. It is well positioned close to Monpazier which I would rate as one of the most beautiful towns in France. Various trails and paths are nearby for those keen on walking. It has its own pool which was a reasonable size, clean and heated for those early morning or evening dips after a hard day at the market. The grounds are spacious with trampoline and table tennis for the kids or the parents (if they want to make fools of themselves). Lauren and Cecile are great hosts and gave us a warm welcome. Whether you want a base to explore the rustic beauty of the Dordogne or just a tranquil relaxing setting in which to enjoy your wine and foie gras I would thoroughly recommend Moulin Neuf.

We've spent 2 weeks in the beginning of September and it was absolutely heavenly. The quiet setting, surrounded by nature, instantly relaxes you. The warmed pool is a great size for swimming laps or just playing about. The covered patio area was used daily for breakfasts, apero time, and dinners (we added some fairy lights for extra atmosphere), and the barbecue was used multiple times. On clear nights, you can see the Milky Way and shooting stars aplenty.Inside, the place is cosy and well equipped, with super fast wifi. The sofas and beds are comfy, and the kitchen has everything you need, with good quality appliances and cookware. The bedroom windows all have blinds or shutters so the rooms are nice and dark. And the addition of the ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms was much appreciated on the hotter days. The floors did creak upstairs and sound did carry, so you can't quietly sneak around at night, but that's only a slight negative. The communication with owners was always quick, smooth and friendly. We didn't need them for anything during our stay, but we knew we could count on them if there was anything we needed. The location, so close to Monpazier, as well as Villereal and Belves, meant we never had to venture far for beautiful sights and delicious food. It was a truly idyllic place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended!
