I really enjoyed staying here. Sandy was an excellent host, very kind and responsive. The property was in a nice remote location. For anyone looking for a fun getaway, this is a great place for you.

Thank you Denise. I believe you and Rick may hold the record for the biggest bass caught in Red Belly Pond for a few years to come. :D

Great Stay!!
My husband and I stayed at Sandy's Farm while I was being treated by a holistic dentist in Greenville. We were looking for a quiet country setting and that's exactly what we found on Sandy's Farm. There's a small pond surrounded by trees where we enjoyed fishing from the floating platform. My favorite was the hot tub, which worked very well, and sitting outside around the fire chimney, especially on chilly evenings.
The cottage offered everything we needed to feel at home away from home. There was convenient grocery shopping about 3 miles away, with the nearest Walmart and restaurants about 7 or 8 miles away. We would definitely recommend Sandy's Farm , especially if you're looking for a peaceful and quiet setting.

Perfect getaway on a family farm
We stayed at the Fishing Cottage for a long weekend during the "Great American Eclipse". Arrival was perfect with the door being unlocked since they were expecting us...no need to go to the house for check-in. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything needed for meal preparation. There was even bottled water already in the fridge and ice cold which was a nice touch after the long ride from Pennsylvania. My favorite place was the deck right off of the main living area. It provided shade during the hottest part of the day and gave a nice view of the pond. Ground level below the deck had a fireplace for building a campfire with plenty of wood already cut for our convenience. Nice! There was also a hot tub which was very clean and well taken care of. The animals on the farm were very interesting to watch. They had goats, cows, chickens, ducks and geese. You can choose whether or not to interact with the animals and we took advantage of becoming "friends" with lots of the critters. I never knew that chickens were such social creatures...I fed a Ritz cracker to one hen and she became my best buddy for the weekend and followed me everywhere. Very cool for a city boy! It's called the fishing cottage for a reason...I caught a fish on almost every cast with night crawlers for bait. One bass was maybe 14 inches long and gave me a nice fight on my ultra light trout rod. They had kayaks at the pond which were available for use and also a short zip line which you could ride and then drop into the pond. We never used the zip line but it looked like it would be fun. There was also a free floating dock which you could use to paddle around the pond to swim or fish. The resident dog, Nymeria, was a pleasure to be around. I gave her a treat when we arrived and she stayed around for most of the weekend which was very enjoyable for us. As I said, if animals aren't you thing, you can choose how much you wish to interact with them. The owners will keep them away if you so desire. There really wasn't any downside to the property. The only possible complaint would be the steps being kind of steep. I'm 64 years old and had no trouble. Also, I read in other reviews about the road being long and bumpy. I didn't think so. It's just a dirt road maybe 800 yards. No big deal. All in all, a very enjoyable property. If you are in the Greenville area for any reason, this is the place to stay and the price is better than most hotels! Enjoy!

fun time
Had a great time. Quiet get away secluded but close enough to civilization to find something to do. Greenville and Simpsonville have many places to go...breweries, local restaurants, shops, bike trails, and hiking. Got to see a Drive baseball game. Looking forward to going back to catch the Growl, the local hockey team, play. The fishing cottage was a great little place with a fire pit, porch to watch the ducks and the fish jump. Will definitely be back.

Very Relaxing!
I ended up staying in this cozy apartment for a couple of months. I must say it was very relaxing and secluded. The scenery is beautiful and it has good fishing. I believe my favorite part was sitting on the balcony at night over looking the pond. With pretty weather it does not get any better. The apartment is cozy and clean. I enjoyed being a guest and do plan on going back. I had initially rented it for a week because of coming to town for work, but decided to stay longer. The only downfall is the long driveway, but it is worth it when you get there.

rustic getaway.
I was looking for something to just explore other areas near Greenville considering I'm new. I'm very outdoorsy and wanted access to be excluded yet have access to nearby areas. My stay there was very pleasant! The owners are welcoming and warming personalities. I enjoyed the rustic atmosphere and the view. It's a farm that reminds me of my home in WV and the pond. The place is very clean and well kept.

Seigler Family
I've stayed on this property several times. Its a cozy, rural, private place that's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who love nature. Its situated on a farm. You can visit the cows and goats, watch the duck family, do a little fishing or sit around the fire. This is a very relaxed, layed back atmosphere. You might get a little mud on your tires but you will leave with a lot of peace of mind. Highly recommend.

Christmas visitors
This was a disappointing experiece for us. We were not at all happy with the conditions of the rental unit, such as cleanliness, the road, furniture, no cable TV, no phone, horrible lighting and last but not least, the infestation of ladybugs, which I guess is common in the South but not pleasant to live with. This all being said, the positive aspects were plenty of hot and cold water, the bed was comfortable and the washer/dry were new.
We did not find this experience to be enjoyable at all.
We would not go back to stay at this place again. No, the property was not a good fit for us. We made many suggestions to the owners to improve the place, we hope they take us up on our suggestions.
Stores and restaurants were fairly close by.
The owners were not at all friendly during our 2 week stay there. We did not see them once nor were we welcomed upon arrival, nor did they come to say goodbye when we left.

Dear Christmas Visitors,
I'm sorry that you did not enjoy your stay in SC. The weather was quite miserable.
As you may recall, I questioned you about your choice of the cottage before you made reservations. But the cottage is a fishing, country accommodation. The stairs are steep and so is the terrain. I was also concerned that you had chosen a location so far from the family that you were visiting. During the many calls before your arrival, when you asked for a tea pot, ironing board, toaster and then expressed dissatisfaction about the nearest grocery story being 12 miles away; I once again reminded you that this was a very private rural accommodation. The Fishing Cottage just isn't for everyone.
We pride ourselves on giving visitors their privacy. When we go on country retreats, we enjoy the same courtesy. We encouraged you to call with any questions or concerns; which you did on one occasion. We did try to greet you in passing, but you ignored our waves so we assumed you were enjoying the privacy of the woods and cottage.
This is a lovely area and Greenville offers many full service hotels with complete amenities. I hope that your visit with us will not deter you from taking full advantage of our area the next time you visit your SC family.
PS- Ladybugs are released in our area from Clemson University. They are essential to local farmers. Yes, they are pesky but they serve a beneficial purpose and we have learned to live with them.
