Beautiful 3 bedroom/3 bathroom cabin. Cabin is 1900 sq ft, new construction (finished in the fall of 2014) 2 story with tongue and groove walls, knotty alder cabinets, propane fireplace, vaulted ceiling, large soaking tub in master bath, spacious kitchen with new appliances, quite neighborhood. Located in the heart of island park. East of elk creek gas station. Minutes away from atv trails for summer and snow machining in the winter, the buffalo river, and around a 30 min drive to West Yellowstone, 80 miles away from big sky mt and 60 miles from grand targhee resort. This is cabin is perfect for the avid outdoorsman, but cozy enough you will never want to leave.

Jody and Jaren are wonderful host! The cabin was beautiful. We had everything we needed and more. Kitchen was well equipped and many condiments for our use. The host promptly answered any questions we had! The beds were quite comfortable, something you don’t often find in rental property. We loved our stay!!!

Great cabin! We loved our stay there. Only thing I think would be helpful, would be to have a railing at the outside step up onto the porch. Otherwise I would not change anything. A couple of us have knee/balance issues, so it was hard for us! Loved the cabin!

Cabin was great. Very well stocked with useful kitchen items. Comfortable furniture and beds. Host supplied dish cleaning supplies and some laundry supplies which was awesome. Overall stay was great. Would suggest making step onto porch better. Step was short and difficult for older person, bad knees, etc. to step up or down that high. Especially with no rail. But that was our only complaint.

Base camp for Yellowstone

We stayed for a week whist exploring Yellowstone national park. It’s an easy drive to get there. The cabin is perfect. One of the most well equipped rentals we have ever visited. Joey’s communication was 100% Would absolutely stay again.

Very nice!

We had a group of 5 adults and we were all extremely happy with the cabin. Everyone had ample space and privacy. The cabin is in a very convenient location to everything we wanted to do, Yellowstone, Big Springs, Harriman Park etc. We were also happily surprised at how well stocked the cabin was. Thanks so much for a great place to stay. We will plan to return in the future!

Beautiful remote cabin

Cabin is even more beautiful in person. Well stocked. There was 4 persons in our party over 50 yrs old. We had two family members who require limited stairs, this cabin accommodated with only 2 steps into cabin with 1 queen bed and 2 full bathrooms on bottom floor. 2 queen bed rooms and one bathroom upstairs. The only problems was the barbecue is old and needs to be cleaned. We never used it. It was also reported the down stairs bathroom shower water did not heat up. This I do not understand as we had plenty of hot water/pressure in the upstairs bathroom. Did not have time to explore. I will absolutely re rent this cabin if/when I return to visit west gate Yellowstone. Never saw a bear… but I was always looking. GREAT place to stay.

Island Park Excellence

We are sure there are few places where you will read reviews that come close to the reviews of this beautiful cabin in Island Park. It is secluded in the forest with nearby properties that are at a nice distance. For your consideration, we have taken a different tack, and will briefly discuss what we look for in a Vrbo rental. We look for premier owner-operated properties. Our experience with property managers has been too hit or miss. Here is our read on the Ball family, the owners of this beautiful cabin: Pride of ownership Attention to detail Quality construction and furnishings Attentive to guests An absolute focus on cleanliness The cabin is their pride and joy This is our second stay here, and our impression upon entering the cabin is… wow, this place is brand new. It was built in 2014, I think. For us, the bottom line is knowing we are renting from people that insist on excellence. When you have that, everything else falls right into place. I always appreciate a detailed review, so I will try and do so here. We were a party of 8 -- four adults and four children. Grandma and grandpa stayed in the main-level master bedroom. (This is actually one of the reasons we chose this house.) While the cabin is not wheelchair accessible, my mom (grandma) could walk up the two steps to the front porch and then used her walker in the main level of the house. Upstairs, DH and I stayed in one room with our toddler in a pack n' play (one is provided, but we brought our own), two daughters in the other room and son in the loft on one of the provided mattresses. One hairdryer and hair straightener is provided. Plenty of items in the house for making your stay comfortable: laundry soap, kitchen supplies, extra towels and blankets, etc. If I may add a suggestion: I didn't find any cutting boards in the kitchen. Plenty of hot water for our party's showers. Plenty of water pressure, too. Master bedroom has walk-in closet with plenty of shelves and hangers. Upstairs bedrooms do not have closets. We didn't care. We just dressed out of our luggage. Verizon and T-Mobile phones worked fine. The carpet is super plush. I was actually coveting it. I appreciated the lights going up the stairs (the top one is burned out). Master mattress is foam and the upstairs bedrooms and have a much more firm mattress in them. The location was great - forest all around. We appreciated watching the Olympics on the Dish Satellite. (Oh, for some reason the picture is zoomed and we couldn't get it out. I think it's through Dish because we tried all of the settings on the TV. It wasn't a huge deal, though, we just could see the scores on the game.) We didn't find the drive into Yellowstone too bad. Realistically, for a party our size, a hotel in the park (or even in W. Yellowstone) is just too expensive. Camping was out. This was super affordable, super luxurious, and comfortable. We made all of our meals and packed food into the park each day. Joey was great to work with. She sent an email long before with instructions. The only missing was check-in time, but fortunately we arrived after the 4:00 p.m. check-in. Another thing that might be beneficial is to include instructions on the fireplace in the welcome binder. We're idiots and it took us quite a while to figure it out, then we ended up not using it. Wonderful place. You will love it, you'll recommend it, and wish you could stay longer.

We had a great time at Joey's cabin. We go to the Tetons or Island park every year to listen to the elk bugle:) We wish we could have stayed longer. It is a comfy and clean cabin.

Wonderful hideaway in rural Montana

This cabin was beautifully appointed, very spacious and comfortable. We used it as a base to visit Yellowstone and it was perfect. All the facilities were top notch. Highly recommended

Fantastic gateway to Yellowstone

We choose this property for its location and value to explore Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. It was everything we had hoped for. Property Managers were is to communicate with. The kitchen was wonderful and well stocked with cooking ware. The house was very clean and was exactly as advertised. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a clean, comfortable place in the woods to explore the beautiful area.

Great place to stay when visiting YNP

The cabin must be new or nearly new. It's in great shape. Very large living/dining room and kitchen. The master is on the main floor and is decent sized. The other two bedrooms are upstairs and they are also decent sized. However, neither of the upstairs bedrooms have a dresser or closet,, so no place to put clothes. The neighborhood has some very old trailers on the street but there are new homes being built. The neighborhood is quiet, but the dirt road coming in can be bumpy.. There is no grocery store out here. The nearest is 30 ,minutes away so buy your groceries in West Yellowstone. There is not much else in the area. The Mexican place about 10 minutes down the road is great, but there are no more options except the pizza place, which we did not try. No fast food at all within 30 minutes. The owner, Joeyh, is very repsonsive.
