About this property

NICE DETACHED FAMILY VILLA, PRIVATE POOL & AMAZING VIEWS

Perfect for families who want to have minimal contact with the outdoors enjoying nature. The option of an individual house allows to avoid sharing rooms and common areas. Being in a “stay at home” house becomes an unforgettable stay, with a private pool, barbecue, etc.
Our villa (10 minutes from the beach), set in an amazing location, the residential area “Rio de Oro” of Calonge, is a comfortable house totally private with an 8m by 4m swimming pool (optional removable security swimming pool fence available), around the pool there is 50 m2 of tropical wood floor and close to it 150 m2 of lawn. Our property is on an elevated site of 800 m2 with landscaped gardens. Exceptionally well appointed has stunning panoramic views of wooded hillside sweeping down to the Mediterranean. The house is full equipped to a very high standard and has upstairs 3 bedrooms (2 with balcony and 1 with an large window) and 2 bathrooms (1 ensuite) and on the ground floor has a spacious lounge and dining room, open kitchen, 1 shower room with toilet and a large open terrace with teak dining furniture for eight people.



The access to Calonge is only a 30 minutes drive from the Girona airport. One hour from the French border and 1 and ½ hour from the Barcelona airport (most of the part is motorway). The villa is at a 3 minutes drive from Calonge, the medieval village and the area is superbly situated to enjoy everything Costa Brava can offer: beautiful long beaches, small coves, wild cliff with spectacular views and palm-tree lined promenades etc. .



Within 15 minutes of drive, excellent water facilities are found. Many historical, cultural interests, including Dalí Museum are within an hour of drive and Barcelona is at 100 km distance. Throughout the year, many festivities, arts exhibitions, cultural events, music festivals & concerts are organized. About 8 golf courses including PGA within an hour of drive. Within half an hour, many ceramic, craft courses are offered. There is a branch of University of Third Age nearby and they offer lots of activities including guided walk. Excellent shopping.

Entspannte Ferien an der Costa Brava

Das Haus und der Garten haben uns sehr gefallen. Der Blick über die Hügel bis zum Meer ist schön. Das Haus ist großzügig und gut eingerichtet. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich. Wir haben vom Haus aus sehr schöne Entdeckungsfahrten in der Region Empordà unternommen und sehr viel an Naturschönheiten und Kulturellem erlebt.

Reposant et agréable loin de la ville

Le séjour en famille était agréable, la maison est très fonctionnelle, mais loin de tout et beaucoup de routes sinueuses à monter. Voiture obligatoire même pour acheter du pain… Maison sur deux étages avec une magnifique vue, calme, le seul dérangement sont les chiens qui aboient toute la nuit, ce qui est désagréable. Le séjour et la cuisine donnent sur la cuisine ce qui est un grand point positif, tout était fonctionnel sauf le lave linge qui avait une fuite. Je conseille cette villa sympathique et propre, nous étions 5, deux adultes et 3 enfants et c’était parfait pour le séjour. Les plages aux alentours sont belles également.

Our super holiday!

Perfect place to have holidays with friends or even family with kids! Super kitchen equipment so you can try to create some masterpieces of the Catalan cuisine:) The house is also good equipped for staying with little kids. It is always chilly in the house! Very good swimming pool, you can ask for a secure fence for kids. Actually so many things to do there! Play tennis, ride a horse, study Spanish and pottery art! Nearest beach very clean and usually is not crowded. There is very beautiful beach Castell. Ask the owner for the directions. The owner is very friendly and nice! Hope we will have chance next year to come back!

Amazing villa

Can't recommend highly enough. Beautifully presented villa in peaceful spot with fabulous views. The photos don't really do it justice. The pool is a great size and there is a lovely garden for children to explore. Antonio was in communication promptly and very helpful when we met him at the villa. The area is very quiet but only about 10 minutes to the beach at Sant Antoni or 20 minutes to the beautiful beach at Castells and La Fosca. Great villa-go there!

Family of 6 who stayed here in august 2009.

We stayed here the first two weeks of august 2009 and we enjoyed it very much. We have 4 kids going from 3 to 11 years old and they really appriciated the comfort of the house and the private pool with security fence. Antonio is very friendly, helpfull and correct (honest). The discription of the villa is accurate, and everything you need is there and it is good condition and clean. It is true you need a car when stay here, but the villa gives you the calm and relaxed environment away from the busy coast. We made trips to Barcelona (by train), Girona, the coast, ... There is a good restaurant 'Rio de Oro' at the entrance of the urbanisation. We already recommended this property to our friends who are also looking for some peace and quiet time away from the tourist centers, which are reachable within a half an hour to one hour drive.

Tranquil location

A great escape from the hustle and bustle of day to day living and with the benefit of easy access to the local towns, beaches and the good and bad of the Cost Brava. We enjoyed the facilities of the villa and also made use of the easy access of the many beaches and towns close by. A great place to come to access real Spanish (Catalan) culture.
