The mill is the perfect rural environment to enjoy its peaceful surroundings and to recharge. It takes you back to another time with its original architecture from the 1800's.The location on the outskirts of Bergerac is ideal as a base to plan multiple day trips. We visited the Lascaux IV caves, Chateau Beynac, Chareau Monbazillac, Le Bugue, Saint Émilion wineries, Bordeaux and more. Our hosts Marc and Danielle were very welcoming and made several recommendations to make our visit to the Perigord unforgettable.

We appreciated your stay in the mill and recommendation about the mill. You also were canoeing on the river. We hope that your travel back to Canada was fine. May we hope an other stay soon ? Friendly yours, Marc and Danielle

Idyllic

Spent two wonderful weeks in the mill. A perfect location for exploring the Dordogne region. The mill had everything that we needed and was in a beautiful private location, ideal for relaxing. The proprietors Marc and Danielle were very welcoming and more than helpful. They are wonderful hosts. We couldn't fault anything and would commend them and recommend a stay in the Moulin. One little hidden gem is a manmade lake with a beach just on the outskirts of Bergerac. Ask the proprietors about it (and other numerous attractions in the general area).

Thank you for your valuable appraisal of your stay in the mill in Bergerac last August 2016. We make our best to welcome our guests. Bergerac is a wonderful place to visit for its castles, vines and wines, old houses or mansions, quiet sites and many other things which make the charm so much appreciated by many people coming from everywhere in Europe, especially from U.K. and from far away overseas like the U.S.A.. The lake of Pombonne on the outskirts of Bergerac is a fine place in summer time to bathe when it is hot or to stay when the night has come for a meal in the "Guinguette" held by a young man.

Large holiday home

This is a great holiday home for a family that is looking for peace and quiet. The property is located on a large estate without neighbours in sight. We had a great stay playing football in the garden and paddling in the river next to the house. When we arrived at the house we were welcomed by the owners that showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. They are super friendly and made sure that our stay was enjoyable. (also nice to note that they are both fluent in French and English) I certainly recommend this as a good choice to spend your holiday in peace and being a few minutes away from the town Bergerac.

Sehr nette Vermieter, jederzeit anrufbar.

Lovely stay in a beautiful house and grounds

We had a lovely week staying in this lovely house with its gorgeous and large grounds just outside Bergerac. We had our dog with us and this was the perfect location, without leaving the property there are extensive interesting and beautiful walks along the river and mill race. The house is lovely, full of character and very interesting being the old mill itself. The owners were extremely and very friendly and this added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. We were very pleased to welcome Paul and Cheryl. We lacked time to speak about their professionnal experience. It is not common to meet somebody aware about the stars ans astronomy in a famous university. We only hope that perhaps we shall see them again in the mill.

Wonderful stay in the Dordogne!

We very much enjoyed our vacation for a month at this property. The owners were very helpful and provided us with great information for restaurants and side trips. They were so good to even recommend a dentist and make an appointment for my wife! Very, very pleased and thankful for their advice on Bastille day festivities! We felt very welcome!

Maan & Cees

A beautiful home in a wonderful setting.

The mill is everything you want for a quiet, peaceful retreat. Lovely in its own simplicity the building and grounds are well kept and a pleasure to live in. Access to the local amenities and areas of interest is easy and within a few miles. The owners are very friendly and have a huge knowledge of the area. We had a tranquil and most enjoyable stay.

We have been very pleased to welcome Mr and Mrs Mansfield. When Paul came to us, his first reaction was to notice the quietness of the mill surrounded by all this nature. We are happy that they could rest and appreciate the quietness around the mill surrounded by 20 acres of wood, meadows and fields a few miles away from the town and all amenities. The mill is at less than one hour drive from the medieval city of Sarlat and the famous castles of Beynac, Castelnaud and Marqueyssac which can be seen from your canoo on the river Dordogne.
