We come here 2 or 3 times a year . That says it all i think. We love it here and if we could we would love to live here all the time. Everything is in walking distanca shops , doktor , farmacy, busstops and the onervaren is very nice . You can contact when ever you want.

Authentic stay

We really enjoyed our stay-loved the village and felt it was very Portuguese and non-touristy but had good facilities (supermarkets, bars, restaurants etc) we did a lot of walking and although the weather was mixed we enjoyed it very much and would happily return.

Homely apartment which suited our budget & holiday needs. Great having the washing machine. Occasionally noisy neighbours directly next to us, however this did not overly affect our stay. Close to local shops & an excellent bakery & coffee shop. 5 minute walk & a large supermarket & pharmacy. Easy to reach Funchal by car, we did take a bus ride which was useful. We enjoyed our stay & would recommend as a good base.

1 week stay October

Apartment was exactly what we needed. Great location - perfect base to get anywhere, just a few minutes drive and you are on the rápido. It was very clean, spacious and had great facilities including washing machine ideal when having kids in tow.

Perfect base to explore Madeira

We were pleased to stay in this apartment which was well located and very comfortable with all you need to feel at home. The owner was very pleasant and communication was good. We liked the fact that it had 2 bathrooms and a spacious sitting room. We will definitely come back.

This is our second time staying here, and the owner is very professional and responsive. He'll see us again in March 2026. We like it so much. It's quiet, yet everything is nearby. You don't need a car. Bud is nearby and the rest we do with small compagnies to help the local people.

All you need appartement, wonderful host

Thanks for the nice stay. Communication upfront has been perfect. Check in was good and easy. Everything needed is available in the appartement for a good stay. Canico is lovely and the bakery nearby has very good food and coffee. Thanks again to the host and his partner on site, all very well done.

Well located & great value apartment

The apartment is well located for those who explore locally and across the whole island. Handily, the flat comes with an underground parking spot, although I would recommend using a smaller sized car if possible - as the parking and driving in and out of the garage can be quite tight & difficult to manoeuvre. We were using a Hyundai Ioniq rental which is quite a large car and contributed to the challenge. The apartment itself is very spacious and we found it to have all that you would need for a 2 week trip. Just keep in mind that as described in the listing, it's a budget apartment and therefore to expect compromises with regards to the quality & modernness of some of the amenities. We found that everything we needed was acceptable. The host (Roger) is very communicative and helpful in setting expectations to have a smooth check in & out process. This is really useful, given that as stated in the listing, the host is unable to be present himself and relies on local friends. Thanks Roger & friends. We enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend considering this great value apartment, especially if like us, you'd prefer to spend more of your money on experiencing the island and all that it has to offer.

Séjour d'une semaine

Appartement bien placé, le parking est un vrai plus. L'immeuble est calme, les voisins discrets. L'accueil a été super. Les 2 salles de bain sont pratiques, le balcon aussi pour faire sécher le linge en un rien de temps le matin !Nous avons été déçus par les matelas, très mous ou très durs, et les alèses trop plastifiées. Cependant l'ensemble du séjour à été agréable. Merci aux soins apportés!
