Annual family vacation

The property was a great location, it was a very roomy and spacious condo. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. The condo was very clean and had three large king beds, which is what we needed. Overall experience was fantastic, and we will definitely return.

Excellent stay!

Platinum was easy and great to deal with. House was very nice and slept 8 of us pretty comfortably. Having the golf cart was a HUGE plus, as this is how we were able to get us and all our stuff to the beach. Will definitely keep this place in mind next vacation!

Great large home with awesome golf cart

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a work trip so we didn’t get to enjoy a lot of the amenities of the resort. The golf cart was a huge bonus as we never had to take our cars to the Hilton we were able to go back and forth on golf cart. Only downside was we thought the sleeper sofa was in a bonus room to itself and it really sits in a hallway area between the upstairs bedrooms. So the person that stayed there didn’t have privacy. Overall great stay

The high ceilings give the place an even larger feel. The supplies in the kitchen were sparse. You should check the unit before your next guest. Should have a minimum of 2 baking sheets, 2 dish cloths, etc.

I came here for my bday trip! The house needs painting. The first issue I had was a bug and lizard was in the house well the bug was in the sink. I stated it to the manager he seemed irritated I said it so I left that alone. The next issue is they don’t provide a mop in there. The screen on the window was off and the golf cart wasn’t working they got that fix. This house really isn’t worth what it’s worth. It needs a lot of update to it. Please read reviews before you be in the same thing I experience. The only thing I can say is the beach is real close by.

When the guest called to report a bug in the the dry bar sink . We offered to have the cleaners come back out to re clean. She declined to have the cleaners come out because it wasn't dirty just a water bud in the dry bar sink. she never said anything else. I explained that the golf cart had new lithium batteries and sometime turns off to protect the carts batteries when the cart had not been driven in a couple days. So we sent maintenance to fix issue. We recommend going online to our web site to take a virtual tour of our properties so its not a surprise walking into a property. We are very sorry to hear you were not happy on your stay. It is our goal to provide you with the best vacation experience in the gulf coast.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was great, location was perfect, very spacious. We had a great time with 4 adults and 4 kids, and room for more! The only downfall was never being able to get ahold of anyone for any questions we had, and we weren't told anything at all about the property so we didn't know how to work the golf cart immediately (though it was pretty easy to figure out) and we didn't know where the beach access was (it's a HUGE place but we asked around and found it) and we didn't know where the pools were, etc. Also found it strange that we were supposed to supply our own trash bags... so you have to buy a pack of trash bags for your stay even though you only use a few. Oh, and there were no spices! I've never stayed at a home rental without spices for cooking...

Hi Haleigh, We are pleased your enjoyed your vacation and this lovely villa. I am a bit surprised you had some questions that our our APP did not cover. Once someone makes a reservation they are invited to down load our APP . This is where all guest can find load of information about the resort, what to bring, your access codes and much much more. There is also a map on the App and we include a map in the welcome bucket of goodies guest receive upon arriving. We also have an after hours person that can answer any questions guest may have that occur after hours. Under the Hospitality Rules and Regulations that vacation rentals must follow , we are required to throw away and spices that are left by previous guest. It is a health liability. Lastly, in our rental agreement that all guest must sign it shares what initial supplies we give our guest upon arrival. Vacation Rentals are different than hotels in this regard. We make sure if you arrive at night that we supply the intial supply of toilet paper, trash bags, trash liners, dish washing soap etc. I am sorry you must have missed this when reading the agreement. We would like to remind you that all returning guest for Platinum Vacations of Destin will get a 10% returning guest discount when staying in any of our vacation rentals. Wonderful Family Vacation Home

We had a wonderful time! The house was perfect for my husband and I to bring our kids and also our parents along. It was so spacious. We loved the easy access to everything in Sandestin with the golf cart. The house was great to cook meals in during some unexpected raining days. We had a wonderful time!

We had booked a different unit 9 months in advance, but due to water damage (1 week before we were to arrive) the company had to move us. I’m not surprised this unit wasn’t booked! The unit was very outdated. The toilets were very hard to flush, 2 out of 3 showers didn’t work, the oven couldn’t even cook a frozen pizza. I would not recommend this specific unit!

A Trip to the Terrace!

The unit was clean, though it seemed as though hastily. Bugs and small lizards were an issue, and that was a first for me, as we a frequent visitors to the resort, and usually go through Platinum Vacations when we arrange our stay. The unit is in decent shape, however it does need some updating. I understand how rental properties work, however, I feel as though the owners and future renters would benefit from some updating, and fixing some the amenities, i.e., closet(s), flooring, wall patches done proper, and pressure washing of the exterior. Overall my vacation rental experience was 'good', and only a few minor things could have made it great. Still enjoyed my stay, and look forward to returning soon.

Good size, needs updating

The condo was a great size/space for our family, and the golf cart for six was fantastic for getting around. The drawback is that the place needs to be updated. There were MANY stains on the carpet throughout the house, and several on the furniture and walls as well. This is why the cleanliness rating is low. The toilets on the first floor need to be replaced by ones that flush on the first try. We understand it is Florida, but a regular appointment with an exterminator should be obtained by the owner. We suspect the older doors/ windows and thresholds are not helpful in keeping the pests out. Could use a nonstick skillet/griddle that will lie flat on the stovetop and a few more coffee mugs. We had a problem with the washing machine only dispensing hot water, but Platinum was very responsive in getting a repair person to come and fix it. Several lights throughout the property were either burned out or not working. It would have been helpful to have a binder with some property-use information for some items including the golf cart. Overall the condo is a great size and location with a nice community pool. However, it needs a deep-cleaning overhaul and refurbishment for the rent charged.

The house was clean and ready for our arrival. Our favorite thing about the house was the 6 seater golf cart! Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and use of the cart was great. The layout of the house was great too- plenty of space for me and my 4 sons. Close to the pool and quick golf cart ride to the beach or warf. So fun! Beds were comfy and kitchen had most everything we needed- could update a few items. But there were a few problems. With a little maintenance this could be a great place to stay! First the dryer doesn’t dry- no heat. That was frustrating since I had to redry the clothes multiple times or hang them up with limited hangers. I reported it and it was never resolved while we were there. There were carpet stains including a massive stain in the main living area. It’s time to replace the carpet- so gross. There were TONS of bugs throughout the house. Gnats, spiders, other random bugs. Everyday, all the time. The air conditioner on the second floor went out while we were there and they came and fixed it BUT we were without cool air up there for a few days. Not ideal while on vacation. DON’T report any problems on the app- I don’t believe it is monitored. Once we called they responded to the AC problem.

Girls trip, high school 1979!

I will keep this short and sweet. I know you read it all the time but I’ve never written a bad review. This place should be taken off the rental market until they have repaired major issues. Terrible musty moldy smell when we walked in. The carpet was beyond filthy. I can’t even explain how filthy the carpet was. The bedding was worse than a Motel 6. Den furniture had stains everywhere. Showers had mold around grout. The location it’s good. The golf cart is good. But I would not recommend this property until the proper repairs and cleaning have been done. Very dissatisfied. Very! Money wasted.

Thank you for your feedback! We are terribly sorry you had to endure the issue with the carpets. As we let you know, there had been an incident where water flooded into the unit during a storm and we were waiting for the carpet cleaning company to have an open appointment to be able to get in there between guests and clean it. Unfortunately we are in our busy season, so we did not have another unit to move you and your friends to while we waited for them to be able to schedule the clean and didn't want to have to cancel your reunion weekend that we know you had all been waiting for! We have housekeeping looking into any evidence of mildew in the grout as well as stains on the living room furniture, which is all less than 6 months old and should be in great condition. The mattresses in the unit were replaced in the last year, so we will send maintenance over to see if there is maybe an issue with the frame? Other than that, bed comfort is subjective with some people liking a softer bed and some liking a more firm bed. We do appreciate your comments, as we never want guest to experience a bad vacation and take reviews to heart when preparing the unit for the next guests!
