Welcome to Our Get Away

Kingfisher Cove unit #14 (Our Get Aweigh) lakefront cottage is located in this wonderful community of 29 luxurious cedar log cabins. Nestled in the woods surrounding no-wake Goshorn Lake. The “up north” feeling cottages are only two minutes from downtown Saugatuck.

INSIDE THE HOME
A crafted floor plan that features three bedrooms (including a fabulous master suite), two full baths, an all wood interior, a great room with a towering stone fireplace, a cozy loft that acts as a sitting room and TV area, an open kitchen and a dining area with a view. Huge screened-in porch in back with a full size hot tub or sit on the front porch that overlooks the pool. Lots of outdoor and indoor things to do! Canoe available for guest use on Goshorn Lake!

OUTDOOR SPACE
Enjoy the outdoors while staying here in the warm or cold months. The screened in porch features a relaxing hot tub that can sit up to 6 guests and overlooks the ravines. Right outside the porch is the firepit and grill made for stories to be made. Our Get Aweigh also has a prime location is the community. It is right next to the boardwalk that leads you down to Goshorn Lake, the cabin even provides canoes! That's not all that great about this location, the pool is right across the road. The gate to get in is less that a minute walk away.

THE LOCATION
Like mentioned above, get the "up north" feeling while only being minutes from downtown. Our Getaway is a 2 minute drive from Downtown Saugatuck. Twenty minute drive to South Haven, and a 15 minute drive to Holland. Oval Beach is less than a 10 minute drive. Our Get Aweigh is the place to be for all of your West Michigan Adventures.

​​​​​​​Our Get Aweigh is a stand alone cabins in the King Fisher Cove association. If you are a larger group looking for a few homes in the same complex, look no further! We manage two other cabins in this complex, Big Bear Cabin and Gecko Get Away. The three condos are intended to be rented separately, with separate entrances and private areas, but could easily be rented together for multiple families or couples to enjoy. True cabin atmosphere

The cabin was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Convenient to all of the places we wanted to visit in nearby cities. Impressed with all amentities in the kitchen, beach toys and games for the kids, beds were comfortable, kids enjoyed the pool amd hot tub. We enjoyed our family time in this cabin!

4th of July Getaway

Overall we had a great stay! House was perfect for two families with 3 kids. Close to pool and lake and just a short drive into town. The only thing I wish was a bit better was the bonfire area-on slanted ground on the side of the house which was hard to navigate around, especially with kids.

Loved everything about this property! My boys loved fishing off the pier and ventured out in the canoe. Oval Beach is a short drive. We liked going in the late afternoon to catch the sunset and when it was less crowded.

Great house, close to everything

We truly enjoyed out time here. The house was clean and had everything you need. We had some slight hick-ups but the management team was quick to answer the phone and were super helpful. If you're looking for somewhere to see the west side of the state and have quick access to the highway without the noise, check this place out. The only drawback I can see is the walking path was loud with a group of kids the last night we were there and that's not anyone's fault except that it goes right behind the property. Would surely stay again!

Vacation w/Kids before they leave for college

We were able to carve out a few days with our grown children before the summer ends and they head back off to college or work. Our Get Aweigh was a great cabin that fit our family of 5 perfectly. It was beautifully decorated and very clean with everything we needed. The cabin is located close to downtown Saugatuck and Douglas an not far from Holland and South Haven, all of which we visited. We had an immediate response when I requested our reservation. From start to finish, great experience.

Goshorn Lake Delights

Stayed with wife and two boys 11 and 13. They loved the bunks and the hot tub. The pool less so. A shallow pool with mostly young kids. House was right by the pool and path to Lake Goshorn. The hot tub is well kept up and the property itself is immaculate. Would have liked a king bed but it worked out okay. The place would get cramped with more than four or five in the common area but there is sleeping for 8. There is a canoe that we took out and played games on the back deck which is screened in so no mosquitoes. The property is a little far from town compared to other properties. You wouldn’t want to walk into town. With that being said, it is a five-10 minute drive. We have stayed once before and had a better time this trip because we fished and used Goshorn more.

Great location and amenities on the outskirts of Saugatuck

This is our second year to stay in the Kingfisher Cove neighborhood, and the first for this specific cabin. As grandparents bringing our daughter + family including three boys from 18 mos to 6 yo, it really is a safe and ideallic property, with safe streets for bike and scooter riding, a great community pool, the boardwalk to the lake nearby, and the close proximity to downtown Saugatuck and Douglas quaint downtowns.

Loved this location and the house ! Only 2 things the dock needs some TLC , we almost had a causality due to the broken boards . Also the kitchen supplies could use and upgrade . Other than that we absolutely loved this place and would be so happy to return .

Perfect Winter Getaway

Six adults and one baby loved our cozy getaway. It was the perfect post-Christmas respite. We hiked in the fresh snow at Dunes State Park, grabbed a few meals in Saugatuck, watched football in front of the fire and, above all, relaxed.

My family (wife and three children 11, 8, and 5) stayed here for an extended weekend and we loved it. The pictures accurately represent the property. The cabin is close to everything, and the kids loved the hot tub and bunk room. If we come back to Saugatuck we will definitely stay here again.

Nature Retreat Awaits You

We had the most magical retreat at this fantastic cabin community--the house was fully stocked and we made use of every gathering spot. The hot tub inside the screened in porch was genius and the location was unbeatable--so close to trails, easy access to major roads and yet tucked away and we listened to the birds and truly got a break from the chaos of work and family life.
