Pretty cottage studio set in lovely countryside close to the Heritage coast

The ground floor Studio accommodation offers delightful views over open countryside. It is an ideal place for watching the many variety of birds and interesting wildlife. There is a courtyard garden with garden table and chairs, sun loungers on request, potted plants, baskets and shrubs. Relax and enjoy the stunning sunsets and twinkling night skies. A stream, which is fenced off, runs by the side of the property and is dry in summer.
The Studio, which is separate from the main house, has a comfortable living area with double glazed doors opening into a light and airy conservatory with roof and window blinds, and is pleasantly furnished. From the conservatory there is a 4-acre field with wire fence, suitable for dog walkers, but it is not intrusive. The Studio has a shower room with toilet, wash-basin and walk-in shower with sliding door screen, a light above the mirror with shaving point, heated towel rail and wall heater, bathroom cabinet, toilet rolls. A galley kitchen is well equipped with welcome tea, milk, coffee, sugar and biscuits, 2 ringed hob (no oven), extractor fan, standard fridge with freezer compartment, microwave. In the cosy open plan living space there is a small settee and cushions, a TV with in-built DVD and Freeview; free Wi Fi connection and electric heating throughout. (There is a charge for electricity in the colder months. The meter is read on departure and a fee is charged separately according to the units used).
Air-conditioning unit is available in the summer months. Hair dryer. Torch. A comfortable kingside bed can be converted into twin beds, let us know if you require this. There are a selection of interesting books, magazines, games, playing cards and DVDs. Parking is just outside the property by the large double gates, this is the guests' entrance. Parking off road is available on request. Nearest electric car charging points are by Halesworth Co-op and Petrol station, IP19 8LU. Cotton linen, towels and tea towels are all included. Please bring your own beach towels. Sorry no smoking/vaping.

Great little place for peace and quiet .unfortunately wildlife field opposite has been made into a dog walking compound a couple of years ago 4.5 acres ?? Out of the hosts hands. Jane was very nice and pleasant very welcoming. Would come back .we stayed 3 nights .

Communication with Jane and Paul was great from the start.On arrival everything was ready. Immaculately clean, with everything you need for your stay (the biscuits were an added bonus!).Jane and Paul were accessible if I needed them and shared their knowledge of the area for places to go and see.I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a cosy quiet cottage with a secure area they can let the dog roam should they have one.For anyone worried that it is pet friendly and they don't have a dog, you would never know dogs are allowed as it was spotless.

We recently stayed here for a week and have nothing but praise for this little hideaway cottage. It is well situated for visiting all the tourist attractions in Suffolk and is exceptionally well equipped. The cottage was spotlessly clean and Jane and Paul were really were really friendly and helpful. This cottage was like coming home to a sanctuary after busy days out exploring. Highly recommend!

We had a really relaxing stay at Beck Studio Cottage.Jane is lovely and very welcoming!The place was absolutely immaculate and very inviting. There was absolutely everything you'd need for a comfortable break; a real home from home.The best part for us was just sitting in the conservatory chilling and watching the rabbits and monk jacks and birds!The bed was comfy and the bedding was good quality. Jane has wonderful artwork displayed and some interesting books and magazines to browse through.All the crockery was really pretty country cottage designs and the lighting was perfectly chosen.The studio is in a good position to drive to Southwold and Dunwich and of course to visit all the interesting villages and market towns.We would highly recommend anyone to stay here and would love to return ourselves.

Life-long lovers of Suffolk, Jane and Paul moved to the area over twelve years ago. It was the amazing variety of landscape that drew them – from wild, never-ending shore lines and estuaries, to wetlands teeming with wild life. Time-warped little villages off the beaten track sit in lush hedgerow- lined country and flower rich meadows. There is art, music and theatre aplenty for those who need a change from field and beach. Come and stay in their small (but perfectly formed!) and beautifully appointed Beck Cottage Studio in one such lovely village. It‘s perfect for a short break or a week or two at any time of the year. Our cottage is adjacent to the Studio and we take great pleasure in greeting our guests where possible. We are on hand should the need arise.

Why they chose this property

We love the history of our house and Studio and living in this delightful rural village. No.33 formed part of the village smithy with No.32, Forge House, Old Forge Cottage and dates back to the late 18th and early 19th century. Part of our house was at one time a shop and sold petrol. We enjoy the lovely walks here and sharing the pretty countryside with our guests.

What makes this property unique

Relaxing in the conservatory looking out over trees and fields watching the wild life; enjoying the tranquil setting. A small, friendly village with interesting walks through pretty countryside and an ancient church.
