About this property
Relax on your own Beach - 100' of low bank waterfront
Walk, bike, paddle, drop anchor, or roll up at our private beach, no bank waterfront cabin. Our cabin includes 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, 2 a privately owned beach with spectacular views of Mt. Baker and the Twin Sisters. Easy walk-ability to ferry and town center (less than a mile).
No smoking. Not suitable for pets. No parties or events.
We are located on a private beach with 100' of low-bank waterfront. It is a funky little cabin that is perfect for a romantic getaway, a family, or 2 couples. There is a washer and dryer, 2 bathrooms, and 2 decks. No TV. There is a full kitchen with a full-size fridge and stove, microwave, drip coffee maker (plus filters & coffee), blender, and toaster oven.
We are approx. 1 mile from the ferry and less than a mile from the 'town center' of Lummi Island.
The ferry runs from the island on the hour and from the mainland at 10 minutes after the hour. There are extra ferries on weekdays, check the schedule for times. It only takes 7 minutes to make the crossing, but you may have to wait for a couple of ferries. Friday and Sunday afternoons are especially busy!! Most of the time, the ferry will run back and forth continuously to clear the dock if you are there waiting at the time of departure.
NOTE: From September 12 - October 4th the car ferry to Lummi is in DRYDOCK (for annual maintenance). There is a passenger-only ferry (bicycles okay) to and from the island.
There's a free shuttle that circumnavigates the island during that time (drydock), however, it only holds 10-15 people (no bikes). It goes by the cabin, just not in the most direct route. Our cabin is approx. 1 mile from the ferry dock, so you can either take the free shuttle, walk, or bike during this time.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

This has become a cherished annual retreat for our family! Todd and Carrie are terrific hosts, and the location right on the beach couldn’t be better. We always enjoy walking on the beach, sitting outside reading, playing frisbee on the grass, hiking at the Baker Preserve and cooking meals or getting takeout from the fabulous Beach Store Cafe!
We have been coming to this sweet little house for several years and it has become a family favorite!! Right on the beach, cozy house with everything you need, lively hikes around the island, easy ferry trip over.
A really wonderful stay in a beautiful location and view. The island is beautiful and the house is really wonderful, cozy and comfortable. We had a sea kayak and paddle board with use which was really nice to make use of the wonderful, convenient waterfront.
Our family keeps returning to this wonderful house, to enjoy the beauty of the beach, the coziness of the space, the tranquility of the island, and the restorative hikes near by. The house is just as pictured - you really do get that amazing beach to yourselves! The hosts are wonderful, with thoughtful and easy communication. We’ll be back!!
We absolutely loved our stay in this cottage on Lummi Island. The decor is quirky and fun and the location cannot be beat. It was also exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfortable. We spent hours in the adirondack chairs over looking the water and Mt Baker. We stayed during the week so there was not any restaurant or cafe to eat at, but the local store was suprisingly well stocked. Great spot and we can't wait to return!
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in this cozy, colorful beach house with a little Bohemian, Chinese, Mexican flair and a magnificient view over Mount Baker. Calm, quietude, the sound of waves, birds, and the wind in the nearby trees await the travelers. Although the house has clearly been lived in, it is well appointed and is welcoming in all aspects.
This was our third visit to the Bula Beach Cabin, and it's a beloved family tradition! We had gray skies and rain this year, so rather than water play we filled the hours with hikes around the island and board games in the cabin. It's such a relaxing getaway, that feels so far removed but is a very easy and short ferry trip from the mainland. Thank you, Todd and Carrie, for sharing this little piece of paradise!!
Loved the place. Loved building fires. Dryer lint screen ajar. Inspected for blockage and vacuumed out excess buildup of lint. Left the lint in the vacuum 👍👍👍👍
Very relaxing. Thank you!
